The first bit of news (well a prediction) is that Nibali will win both the Giro and Tour in 2015.

if it's prediction time, I bet Froome for Giro-Vuelta double and Contador for Tour
Thank you Andy for everything!

So Froome will skip the tour, I find this hard to believe as this is Sky's baby. But read today in an English mag that he probably race only the Giro-Vuelta double.
If this is the case we may have one of the most interesting GT seasons, as Froome, Nibali, Contador and Quintana will confront each other more often.

... as long as Froome, Contador and Quintana can stay on their bikes, I agree. |

Don't count on anything until we see the Vuelta route. If it's as "balanced" as usual then expect Froome to be hitting up the Tour alongside a focused Contador and Nibali.
It might make for an interesting Tour and a potentially interesting Giro but at the expense of the Vuelta being for those who missed out earlier.

I haven't seen any confirmation of Froome skipping the Tour (I highly doubt it and will believe it when I see it), but if he is surely that's a big psychological boost to the other three - he feels there aren't enough ITT kms to make up for potential losses in the mountains (ie he doesn't feel confident enough about his abilities in the mountains vs the others?).
Anyway if he does skip the Tour we'll again be deprived of a full-on Contador vs Froome vs Quintana vs Nibali show.

3 are enough, as this year the only battle in a GTwas between Fromme and Contador in the Vuelta, and IMO it wasn't a real battle.

I read somewhere that Sky wanted the best riders to participate in the Tour. I can't believe Froome wont do the Tour. The question is: Will he do Giro - Tour or Tour - Vuelta, or maybe just the Tour...
SKY has had a terrible season this year, no way they won't have their best GT rider riding the Tour next year, just no way
Present:
Tinkoff-Saxo - AG2R - Colombian riders
Past:
Francisco Mancebo - Illes balears - Carlos Sastre - Kelme - Robbie McEwen

Soooo newsss:
- Lotto Jumbo gets rekt by UCI. Too much yellow on the jersey. Redesigns will have to follow.
- Pirazzi is changing: "Less attacks, more results. Less instinct and more reasoning. Less improvisation and more strategy.
That won't change his riding in GT's much I'd think, he says himself he is not a GT contender but one week stage races is where that will apply more now,
- Worlds TTT may be become seperate event from Worlds week. This is due to Worlds for next 2 years taking place outside of Europe and many teams would find the cost of transport too much to bother with it.

What? For real? I liked the jersey as it is...yellow is just a color...Astana has too much blue then, Trek too much black(i know its not a color) and Europcar too much green...
FUCK UCI

Keep in mind that leader jerseys are yellow and are supposed to stand out of the peloton.
So other colors are more ideal. |

That's the reasoning given. They want the Leaders jersey to be distinct for both roadside and tv spectators. Which is a perfectly valid reason to me and really something Belkin (i'm gonna still call them belkin) should have thought about first or checked with the UCI to save this embarrasment.
And on the TTT... I think it should revert to National squads like the rest of Championship week and save the team expenses, especially those teams who turn up knowing they have zero chance of a result.
Splitting it from the main Championships is only going to harm the events already slightly shaky reputation. If the UCI wants the WT teams to battle it out in a TTT then aid the creation of a one-off classic and leave the Worlds alone.
