A new race category for the 2014 season, C2HC races are available exlusively to CT teams. They will offer more ranking points than C2 races, and be a key part of all CT team's goals. It means that there will be a number of important races across the season where the CT teams are guaranteed to be coming together to contest - and they should be vital in the promotion battle!
There are 80 C2HC race days, split into 4 bands of 20 race days each. Each team will ride in 3 of them.
Here are the bands:
| Cauberg Classic | Netherlands | 2 | | GP Montreal | Canada | 2 | | GP Oudenaarde | Belgium | 2 | | Rund um den Finanzplatz Eschborn-Frankfurt | Germany | 2 | | Ruta America del Sur | South America | 8 | | Volta ao Algarve | Portugal | 4 |
Most rider types are accounted for here - we have hills, cobbles, time trials and sprints. GP Montreal has broken away from it's partnership with GP Quebec to become a C2HC race, joining a ManGame regular Volta ao Algarve, last year's C2 Cauberg Classic and a couple of new races - including the Ruta America del Sur. This South American race features four countries: Chile, Bolivia, Argentina, and Brazil, with two stages in each.
| Tour de Pologne | Poland | 7 | | Tour d'Azerbaijan | Azerbaijan | 5 | | Tour of Utah | USA | 6 | | Rutas de America | Uruguay | 2 |
Tour de Pologne is the 2nd C2HC hill stage race, but we are getting into the mountains here too. Tour of Utah is sure to be popular with the new American teams, while Tour d'Azerbaijan will test teams strength with a TTT to open the race. And there's a flat race in Uruguay - the 5th South American nation to feature in a C2HC race.
| Tour de Langkawi | Malaysia | 10 | | Tour d'Algerie | Algeria | 6 | | Vuelta a la Comunidad de Madrid | Spain | 2 | | Zuri Metzgete | Switzerland | 2 |
The Tour de Langkawi is always an interesting race to follow and at 10 race days, is the longest C2HC race. The C2HC mountain classic is in here, while Tour d'Algerie has abandoned the climbs featured last year for a flat-rated route. Zuri Metzgete will once again end the C2 season in October.
| Criterium Hainleite | Germany | 2 | | Great Ocean Road Classic | Australia | 2 | | Seskin Classic | Ireland | 2 | | Benelux Challenge | Luxembourg, Netherlands, Belgium | 6 | | Vuelta a Guatemala | Guatemala | 8 |
The Great Ocean Road Classic made its debut as a ProTour race last season, and now slots into the C2HC division. The Benelux Challenge throws up a race similar to the PT Tour of Northern Europe, and will need an all-rounder to win it. Guatemala provides a central American influence on the C2HC races, Criterium Hainleite is a former HC race, and Seskin Classic is a new race for Ireland.

Only one sponsor country race. Band 4 is a must.

Not a single Danish race. Well then I guess I'll have to see which suits me the best.

Muchos gracias senor SN.
Decisions, decisions - gonna be a tough call!
Couple of points/queries:
* Langkawi seems to be missing the image for the latter stages profiles.
* Does this then confirm that CT teams will have 90 'free' race days to sit alongside the 60 C2HC days racing?

Langkawi part 2 is up. And yeh, there will be 150 race days total for CT teams. There is ~25/30 'normal' C2 races, plus the C1 calendar

I like the packs though it won't be easy to pick - especially without knowing what riders we will get in the transfer season...

Difficult decision between 1 and 4 as neither really suit my proposed team.

I'll have to go to Utah

Considering I'm aiming to be a nationalistic Colombian team and the best cobbler from Colombia has 69 cob, I think we can safely say I'm trying to avoid cobbles like the plague... and the only band that doesn't contain cobbles is the only one that doesn't contain a South American race... decisions decisions...
I really like the band system in principal, it just doesn't suit what I'm trying to achieve

Pretty easy decision for me, as I have to race in Australia and Canada, and Langkawi is a sponsor goal

on of the bands features a race from both of our sponsors homelands so there's no prizes for guessing which one will be our priority.

So am I able to participate in races in other bands that I do not choose?

No. You pick 3 bands and you race all races within them.

Well what would be the point of the bands if you raced all the races.
I already have mine picked out I think.
