How come every time i edit riders in career mode they race a random number of races and then their stats go to zero? |

Please try to be more specific.
What did you change?
Which stats go to zero?
Is it really related to the races they race?
If yes, why do you think it is random?
Doesn't it happen if they don't race races?

It doesn't matter which statsi edit, it has happened with riders i cheated to 85 in all stats, and riders where i have tweaked single stats. It has happened at random points in the career even in the middle of tours and it does happen if they don't race. It just like every edited rider is a zero stat time bomb. |

What exactly did you edit?
Please tell us the name of the table and the columns.
Also please name the columns which go to 0.
Another question: Does "go to 0" mean that the stats are decreasing over time until they reach 0 or do the stats change to 0 immediately? |

Have you edited the stat limits as well then? You should put the stats limit equal or higher than the actual stat, of course

And ingame, 0 does not exist. 55 is the minimum. Only if you edit it to 0 it will appear as 0 for a while, until one of their stats is updated, then it will turn to 55, it's actual value. |

there was a bug in early early beta version, where this happened. but it was fixed. you may better edit the db before you start the career |

They just go to 0 from one day to the next, and i edit the stat and limit columns. and it is every stat that go to 0 it doesn't change up to 50 or 55 over time.
Example: i edit a riders mountain stat from 71 to 76 and his limit to 79. Then after what seems like a random number of days in career every stat of that rider goes to 0 and stays there. |

Did you read what Daniano wrote? Where did you get your game from? Have you installed the latest patch? What DB are you playing with? |

I have the game on steam so patches shoudn't be a problem. I use the PCM daily DB. I have tried using both the 2013 anglo and the 2013 without us and british and it happens on both. |

Did you try what Daniano wrote?
you may better edit the db before you start the career
If it works when you do it before starting the career then maybe it is related to the evolution of the riders. You can see in DYN_cyclist in the column gene_i_day_progression when the cyclist would evolve. (If the game tries to raise the stats but the stats are already higher it could get messy.) |

I always use a custom team for career mode, so i can't really edit it before i start the career. I can't be bothered to make my team using the editor because i would definatly f*** something up. |

So then don't edit the stats.
It is very easy over-perform in this game and if it isn't easy enough then change the difficulty.
(Lowering the difficulty is the same as raising the stats of your riders, if you didn't know.) |

No because then suddently all my riders are overpowered where i just wanted one rider who can follow the leaders in most conti races and then win a couple. I don't want an entire team who can win every race. It's no fun without a challenge to it. I was wondering is there a way to edit the progression of that one rider out so i can just do it manually to avoid the bug? |

So basically you want to do it the hard way but not that hard?
(Sorry for that, but your self-inflicted problems are just too funny.)
How about getting a better rider instead of editing the stats?

I know, but it is still annoying not being able to edit any riders and not being able to make my own changes to the database. For example i want to edit Fuglsang to give him the mountain stat i think he should have after his performance in Tour de France. But i can't do it in case he just goes to zero at some point. |

You can edit all stats prior to starting a career. The only stats you cannot edit are from the young riders. |
