Welcome to Northern Austria for this short three stage hilly race. Stage two is flat, but 1 and three should both threaten the riders, with stage one in particular likely to cause gaps. That said, this will almost certainly come down to bonus seconds, and with just 11 teams in the race, a break may well act as a spoiler.
The favourites, are unsurprisingly Gazelle, with Weeining and Furdi leading the challenge. Iberia also come with split leadership structure, Sanchez Gonzalez and Rodriguez Oliver lead for them. After that we have Barrio for CSC, and then a wide variety of riders who have a chance should they time their attack right, or get the right lead out.
For the sprints the field is really not very strong. Lasca (KEN) and Cardoso (PVB) are the two best, and both will have half an eye on the overall, should the hills be less decisive than hoped. Demare (MAG) and Moren (VTF) are the next best, and will hope to surprise on stage two.

Name Vorganov as a GC rider, please!
You're the second person to not mention him...
Anyway I feel confident we will get a top 10 with either Cardoso or Vorganov.

Let's hope we score more than Gazelle
Rodriguez - Sanchez combination should be able to do so

Strong lineup by Iberia. Hoping for an epic hilly battle with lots of attacks and gaps.

Allez Arnaud et Francesco
Seriously, this is the best chance for Demare to add two stage wins to his account without Speirs and Belletti.

Our win goal and home race. Win doesn't seem to be in the cards in my opinion.
I think Eibegger might be able to surprise on home soil, he can get over the climbs + he has a good sprint. Demare hopefully gets something on stage 2, a podium maybe.
Fun little race, maybe we'll get something, maybe we won't *shrug*

How many bonus seconds do those sprints give by the way? There's a huge number of them...

Barrio looked really strong on that final climb and I didn't think that first stage would suit him very well. Liking his chances on the third stage.

I'm honestly fed up with this game's AI...
Vorganov gets top 10s in bunchsprints, and now after conserving energy he can't even beat worse sprinters -.-

Pretty good start for us getting 3 riders in the front group and a 4th place for Ilias. So we have a slim hope remaining for our win goal and it looks like it could be a pretty good race for us in general

Great to see Lasca dominating even when he is the favorite as well. Now lets hope he can get some points on the next stage to win the point competition. |

@stage 1;
Very pleasing to see some sound tactics by my team. Sending Furdi up the road allowed Weening to chill in the slipstream of a chasing Iberia squad (and at some point even Purito himself) for a large part of the finale. The resulting sprint was mighty! And Furdi got rewarded with third. Awesome stage and result!
@stage 2;
We allowed no gaps and the bonus seconds weren't grabbed by a dangerous rider. So good result.
Grau's fall is a big stain on the stage though. So very unfortunate!

So, I've raced the third stage, but I'm on the magazine page, and when I try to click next it loads the cyanide homepage instead of the results page. I really need to see who won what, so if anyone has any ideas on how to do this yet me know.

Don't know how to solve that. Probably best to PM SN.

Check the cdb with any editor.
Search in the DYN_classification_stage table. At least you could sort who won and the classifications. I don't know about time gaps and etc...

You can get it all out from the database, but it's a couple of hours work, so I would rather an easier solution. If nothing comes up tonight then I will go through the db tomorrow.

Ouch, that was a bad result. Weening not strong enough in the sprint, losing the yellow jersey. And Furdi chilling in the peloton going down from second in GC to eleventh.
Overall still a pretty good tour for us though. A worthy ending to another awesome month for Team Gazelle.
Congrats to Iberia!
