I admit it`s a bit later as usual but still early enough.
As in recent years post what you think about the 2013 season. Who will dominate, who will fail...

Since we do this topic every year (and it's always funny as heck to go back and re-read it a year later ), here it is again. Post anything at all you feel will happen in 2010. Who's going to suck, who's going to do well, etc.
I will start.
- Wiggins won`t win any GT. Neither will Nibali or Schleck.
- Hesjedal was an one-hit-wonder. He won`t do a top5 in any GT
- Frank Schleck will be allowed to ride after a 6 month ban (backdated of course)
- Cancellara will be back winning the most important cobbled races.
- Also Thor Hushovd will be in between his 2011 and 2012 season doing good in the cobbles and GT`s. Not winning or top3 in sprints.
- Sagan and Moser will go crazy winning a lot of races
- Van Garderen will be better in any GT, where he participates together with Evans
- Contador and Froome will win a GT each
- Not sure about Purito but he might finally get his Vuelta
- Greipel and Cavendish will both win a lot. 3-3 in the Tour
- Kittel won`t have another 10+ wins season. Therefore Degenkolb takes that many wins and will top 10 in Paris Roubaix
- Martin will defend his ITT World Championship
- Sagan will win the World Championship on the road
- Demare will make the next step, Bouhanni and Soupe won`t perform as good in sprints as they have partly done in 2012
- And last but not least: Gesink will podium in a GT |

Pozzato will win in San Remo but fail on the cobbles and in Amstel. Depending if the Italians let him start in Firenze, he will become world champion.
Gilbert will be back in his 2011 form sweeping the Ardennes.
Marko Kump and Enrico Battaglin will be two of the best breakout riders.
Simon Spilak will win a WT race.

He said that he won't ride the WC, because it's too hilly for him. (It's still possible that he changes his mind though)

Don't really think that's possible. Have you seen the route? I'm pretty sure the winner will be found among the likes of Valverde, Purito, Nibali.
Anyway, some predictions:
- Team Sky will not podium any GTs.
- An Italian will win the Giro.
- Contador will win the Tour with a 5 min. margin.
- Alejandro will finally get his Worlds, and in Italy of all places!
- Cancellara will have a good season, winning at least one monument and the Worlds ITT.
- Eloy Teruel will DNF 75% of all races he starts.
- With the possible exception of Gerrans in Adelaide, Australia will not win any WT races.
- Quickstep will dominate the win count.

- Gilbert will be back in shape and take all top 3 places in the Ardennes.
- Evans won't amount to anything in the tour once Contador brings out the big guns.
- Rodriguez will screw up his year because of Katusha and their license.
- Boonen will have a slow start but will come around after the early season, right on time for RvV and Paris - Roubaix
- Tour will be: Contador, Froome, Nibali, Van Den Broeck, Green: Cavendish, Mountain: Meh...
- De Gendt will finish just outside the top 10 in the tour, and will train even more on climbing, it'll be for next year |

-Another big team will fold this year due to a new(ish) doping affair
Ok, with the negative out of the way now for some fun
-Finally a Dutch podium finish in a GT this year
-no Belgian will win a monument this year
-Cancellara finally beats someone who is wheelsucking him in a classic
-but he will fail to regain the TT crown
-somehow the three Dutch PT teams become 2, probably fusing Argos and Blanco.

- Gerrans wins the TDU again.
- Froome and Contador fight a very tight battle in the Tour, but Contador takes it.
- Giro will have a surprising winner
- Gilbert dominates the Ardennes, but loses on one occasion to Purito.
- Cancellara wins P-R but Boonen dominates all the other Flanders classics. Degenkolb finishes in the Top 10 in Paris-Roubaix
- The WC Road Race will be won by a breakaway.
- Martin defends his WC ITT title.
- Wiggins does not podium on the Giro, finishes on 4th place.
- Breakthrough season for Kelderman, finishes in front of Gesink or Kruijiswijk in the Giro
Also, Ian: Nibali is 99% to ride the Giro and skip the Tour as far as I heard.

My turn:
- Froome WILL win the Tour with Contador on his shadow;
- Sagan will win the RvV and the Gold Race, Cancellara will win the P-R, and Rodriguez will win the FW;
- Nibali will surely win the Giro, no doubt about it;
- If he races it, Andy Schleck will win the Vuelta, again with Contador finishing behind him;
- And remember this, Rui Costa will win A LOT this year, along with Tiago Machado, of course, who's going to make this his year. |

I reckon Contador decides to do the Giro after all, wins it, but then burns out in the final week of the Tour. Froome will win it, Contador narrowly scraping 2nd from Schleck. Valverde takes La Vuelta.
Sagan wins MSR and Cavendish takes the maillot vert.
Well at least that's what I'd like to see

Ponzi will win in Montreal, while Nordhaug will take Quebec.
Demare will win in Plouay, with Bouhanni getting second.

I will start.
One could argue it's not just later, but almost too late since a similar topic was started in november:
https://pcmdaily.c...d_id=26229
Copied from my post in that topic:
I think Froome had his Gilbert year in 2012, and will disappoint in 2013.
Giro: Nibali
Tour: Contador
Vuelta: Rodriguez
Cancellara will be more successful than Boonen in this year's cobbled classics. Vanmarcke will score a top3 in RVV or P-R.
Hilly classics, really don't know. Gilbert and Rodriguez probably.
There will be at least one big name who gets caught with a banned substance, but not doping, in his blood, like Contador's steaks or Frank's xipamide.
The Tour will be decided in the first week as a result of mass crashes.
Kelderman will be a revelation this year, with either a stage win or a Top 3-5 in one of the big or small stage races.
I'm hoping De Gendt and Poels will perform well this year. |

I fear that Tom Boonen will not be as good as last year (also due to preparation-problems like illnes and things). Gilbert will be back but will have better concurrents in Sagan and others like Purito. Contador will win the tour and De Gendt will finish top 5 in TdF. |

- Sky will continue being ridiculously dominant, with Wiggins winning the Giro and Froome the Tour. Henao will finish in the top 5 in the Vuelta.
- F. Schleck will escape punishment on a techicality of some sort.
- Sagan will get his first major classic: MSR.
- Cancellara takes revenge for last year and wins both the Ronde and Roubaix.
- Amstel goes to Degenkolb, Fleche to Purito and LBL to Gilbert.
- After narrowly losing the Tour to Froome, Contador will ride the Vuelta and win it easily.
- Demare wins his first GT stage.
- Andy Schleck will be crappy everywhere but the Tour, as usual. He'll still finish third in the Tour, but far behind Froome and Contador.
- Purito's extreme schedule will be too much for him. He'll be top 5 in the Tour, but will fade badly after a week or two in the Vuelta.
Will come up with a few more later.

Hey man, good topics deserve a second posting! It's always interesting to read everyone's predictions and fun to make your own risky and unlikely ones. |

- Sagan will have a mediocre year, not winning any major classics, with the exception of maybe taking a stage in the Tour.
- Sky's tactics will come back to bite them in the ass, resulting in them not winning a GT.
- Cavendish and Greipel will be the 2 most evenly matched sprinters throughout the year.
-Surprise winner in Amstel and Fleche, with Gilbert taking LBL.
- Assuming Contador does the Giro beforehand, the Tour will be won by someone other than Contador, Froome and Schleck.
- Nibali will win the Giro.
If Rodriguez doesn't win the Vuelta, well.. (Valverde to perform well)
- Boonen to be brought back down to Earth this season, not winning any of the major classics, and not placing incredibly well either.
- F. Schleck to get out on some sort of technicality, or a backdated ban.
- Demare to have a good year, along with Bouhanni.
-Van Garderen to have a quiet year, except for the Tour.
