Please Read To Get A Full Understanding
18 members will be split into 2 teams of 9 people. At this time they will need to work together to win challenges that will be set upon them by the host (me). After the results of the challenges have come in, the winning team will receive immunity and will be safe from Tribal council. The losing team however, must make their way to the Tribal council area, where they will cast one single vote against each other. After the votes are counted, they are read, and the contestant who receives the most votes will be voted out of the game, unable to continue.
At some point in the game, the two teams will merge forming 1 single tribe. At this point onward, they will be competing as individuals. The winner of the challenge will be immune from any votes during tribal council. For the rest, it could mean that they will be the next to go.
When there are 10 people remaining in the game, a jury will begin to form. These people play an important factor in the games outcome....for it will be their votes that decided the winner of the game.
When the game reaches the point when only 3 members remaining in the game, immunity challenges will stop and the 7 jury members will come together. Each will pose one question only, to the three remaining members. The finalists must answer each question directed to them. After all questions have been asked, the each jury member will cast a single vote for who they believe to be the true survivor and the winner of the game. Once the votes are made and read, the finalist with the most received votes, wins the game, and be granted the title of PCM.Daily's Survivor!

Communication -
You can talk via this forum thread or directly by PM to other contests in the game to talk strategy and make alliances. All forms of communication once the game starts is allowed. But remember what you do is being watched by your competitors so be wise.
Immunity Challenges -
Challenges can be posted at random or be given a warning before they go live. Challenges will pose different strengths including activity, intelligence, luck, creativity, etc. There is also a possibility a challenge could be done twice. Also challenges can be done both by PMing me or directly posting on this thread. The details of each challenge will be presented when the challenge is announced.
Team Challenges: In team play you will need full co-operation with all of your team in order to complete these challenges. With out the help of the other people in your tribe, it will be nearly impossible to win anything
Individual Challenges: Individually each member will try to complete the challenge with the best of their ability, they will depend solely on their own skills to achieve a victory for themselves.
Result of Challenges -
The outcome of the each challenge will be posted after the deadline or the the challenge is completely finished.
The winners will be given immunity, the losers are in jeopardy to be voted out at tribal council.
Hidden Immunity Challenges -
At certain points in the game I will be posting a hidden immunity challenge, the first member to PM with the answer will be given this hidden immunity. It is theirs and they have the right to tell other members they have it or to keep it a secret. If you are not the first to give me the correct answer then I will say, "The hidden immunity has already been claimed." The hidden immunity may be played in any tribal council all the way to the end of the game, but you may only use it once. Once played, any votes directed towards you will not count.
Tribal Council -
This will take place right after the immunity challenge. During team play, the losing team for the previous challenge is present. While during individual play, everybody goes but they can't vote for the member with immunity. Each member present at tribal council has a vote. Each vote represents the member you want to be voted out (or leave the game). If a member doesn't vote in allotted time given (16 hour period after voting has opened) then they vote for themselves. This is also the case in individual play if you vote for the member that holds immunity.
A Tie At Tribal Council -
In the event of a tie vote, the last vote received that includes the two members that are tied will be safe. For example, let's say member X receives 4 votes and the last vote received against him comes in at 5:00PM while member Y also receives 4 votes however his last vote received against him comes in at 3:00PM. Member X would be safe and member Y would be eliminated. This insures the game continues to progress as fast as possible. So send in your votes asap to give yourself the edge in a tiebreaker.
Results of Tribal Council -
Once all the votes are received or the 16 hour period runs up, I will post the results voting by only presenting the number of votes each member received (not who each person voted for). Also if you didn't vote in the 16 hour period I will also mention that as the tribe deserves to know of your inactivity. The member that receives the most votes can't win the game, however once we are down to 10 members and then you get voted out you become part of the jury. Which if you remember, decides who wins the game.
Voted Out -
If your are voted out (and 15 of you will be) you are given the option to post one final post with your parting words for the remaining members on this thread. But once we start the next challenge or you post your parting words you are not allowed to comment/PM any of the remaining members. And remaining members are no longer allowed to PM you about the game.
Inactive Members -
It is almost certain a member will go missing, however they will not be removed from the game. It is the tribes job to find dead weight and to get rid of it, or perhaps keep them in given circumstances. But keep in mind inactive members hinder your chances to win immunity in team play and they also vote for themselves during tribal council if I don't receive a vote from them.
Deciding a Winner -
Once the game is left with 3 members, the 7 jury members are allowed to post 1 question on the thread for the 3 remaining members to answer in order for them to get a better judgement for who they think should win the game. Once all the questions have been asked and answer, each jury member will vote for who they think should be the lone Survivor. If a jury member doesn't post a question or doesn't vote I will allow the member that finished 11th to take their jury spot and will continue to go down the ladder until all 7 jury spots are filled with active members.
Reward for being the Winner -
The winner will receives a customized Survivor banner and "unmatched" bragging rights over the rest of the members around the forum. (Sorry I can't give you a million dollars )
Fan Forum -
This is for those who are not chosen or just want to watch and comment on the game. A separate thread will be created were you can talk about the game. Members that are apart of the game are not allowed to comment is this "fan" thread, just like you can't comment on this thread if you are not chosen. But be aware members that are apart of the game can read your comments.
Length of Game -
To be honest I'm not quite sure how long it will take to get a winner. I'm thinking minimum would be a month. So activity is going to be a key part is winning. The game will not wait for you! I will continue to post deadlines and such to keep the game running as fast as possible. But at the same time I don't want to go to fast. This 1st season is all about finding the hidden balance. But the game can move super fast if all the competitors are onboard. One thing is for sure, the majority of the time it will be the members that slow the game down. I'm willing to put in the time to make it move as fast as possible if the interest is there.
Cheating/Breaking Rules/ETC. -
If it is deemed that you are somehow cheating the game in any way the following will occur:
1. A Warning for each offense that is different.
1a. If 3 different acts of cheating by one member are given a warning jump straight to process 2. (3 Strike Policy)
2. If a same act that was given a warning for continues, You will be automatically be voted out the game at the next tribal council. No questions asked!
Changes in Gameplay -
I have the right to change, add, or delete rules to help better the game given by my judgement.
Will this be cycling related? -
Yes/No. Some challenges will be others won't. It will be mixed, but cycling knowledge will help. And on the otherhand it won't hurt you to much if you don't have the best cycling background either. Given that the game isn't all about getting immunity, making alliances with other members is also key. Which makes this game great to build friendships but also that easy to make enemies. Which brings me to my last point, this is a GAME. I have faith in this community that if you are voted out it is nothing personal against you because 17 members have to lose in order for one 1 person to win. Life moves on once we crown a winner so you should too, there is no reason to hold a grudge over the happenings in this game.
Questions -
Post them below and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

So if you apply and miss out but watch and comment on the season you jump straight to the top of my list for next season.

What about timezones?
There are 3 main time-zones this community runs in (Aus, USA and EU) being general.
If someone has X hours to do something fine. But if its posted when they are asleep they now only have Y hours, while those on a similar timezone will have all X hours.

Most challenges will happen at random (and will have a time deadline to complete), however some challenges I will give the time when they will be posted. And for those I will try to vary the times to satisfy everyone.

Good answer.
Also you say there will be issues if people break the rules.
I can't see any actual rules, apart from time constraints.
So, as an example, what constitutes breaking the rules?

Right now the only ones I can think of that can be broken are:
1. Posting in the fan forum if you are a member in the game (whether you are voted out or not.)
2. Talking with jury members in private during the end of the game. Pursuing jury votes in private really.
Somebody will probably find a way for me to make more, but if I think it is cheating I will give you a warning to stop before I kick you out. So it's nothing to worry about.

So if you get voted out you cant even comment as a fan. seems a bit odd, but i do understand.
And thanks, just trying to break the game now, rather than when its under way.

Correct, I don't want potential jury members to express their opinions while the game is still running. Because even if you are voted out 1st there is still a chance you get to be part of the jury given all inactive jury members will be removed.
And no problem, keep asking away. It helps fill in the holes that could possible come up.

That makes it a lot clearer. Got a bit convoluted above.

I don't have all the challenges figured out yet, but for the team immunities they will involve working with your tribe mates to figure out different types of problems. And for individual will be much of the same expect you can only rely on yourself. Activity, intelligence, luck, creativity, etc will all be tested throughout the game. I really don't want to go deeper then that because for the most part I want them to be kept secret until they are presented.

Ok after taking some time I have put together all of the challenges for the upcoming season. Should be a lot of fun, and everyone should find a challenge they could excel in.
Now we just need to get enough applicants, 7 in so far.
Reminder: Deadline for Applicants is 12/12/12 @ 8:00AM EST

A Tie At Tribal Council -
In the event of a tie vote, the last vote received that includes the two members that are tied will be safe. Not sure if I got this part. You vote on the person you want to eliminate, right? In that case, if the eliminated member is the person who gets voted last (in case of a tie), it is an advantage to vote as late as possible, because you want to eliminate that member, right? So shouldn't it be the contrary?
I tried reading some parts of it, sounds a bit complicated so perhaps I'll just watch in the first season

Yes it should be the other way around my bad. Member Y would be eliminated. The goal is to get your votes in as fast as possible in case of the tie. Thanks for catching that.
