Hi there,
Suddenly my savegame in Career is not loading anymore. Ihave a crash yesterday.
Yesterday I install/copy also the update for dailydb for patch 1.4.0.0. and install some microsoft updates, but when i hit 'load last game' my game won't start anymore.
I have a map weekly saves, which is still to be seen.
Please help me with this!

If it crashes when clicking the button Load, you probably have a corrupt save game:

All right, does that mean that i've to delete the last save game by weekly saves?
Not start a whole new career , i hope...

No. Go to the C:\Users\Miguel\Documents\Pro Cycling Manager 2012\Users\your username\Database\Solo/the db the your using .
Find the save game and delete the ~. |

Thanks, but before I do that i've got two 'Carrière_2' at the same time.
If I change the there will be a Carrière_2(2) in the map.
Is that not a problem?
I'll get it, just delete the file with the ~ sign. (But this one, is of a earlier time than the next carriere 2file)
i guess?

I have make a back-up of that file fortunately.
So remove the ~ sign and replace that file with the excisting Carriere2file? |

No. You should actually delete the save and rename the ~ one from ".cdb~" to ".cdb". The ~ file is a backup. It might happen though that the backup is also corrupt, in which case you'll need to delete both the .cdb and .cdb~ file, then copy a weekly save to there.
If you're not sure if you have a corrupt save game, you could rename the PCM My Documents folder, start the game, start a career and see if it loads normally. If that's the case, you have a corrupt save game. Normally you shouldn't need to start a new career, the weekly saves usually are fine.

What are my options now?
Sorry for so many questions, but I hope not to start all over again.
Should I put the new update for dailydb for patch 1.4.0.0. again in
My Documents/Pro Cycling Manager 2012, overwrite the existing file?

The 2nd step is not supposed to work. It's just to see if you have or not a corrupt save game. Did you do as it say? (rename the PCM12 folder in My Docs to "Pro Cycling Manager 2012a" or whatever like that, then start the game, create a career and try to load it). What happens then?

Yes, I'll did this and started a new career with katusha. And this one loads normal. Also after quiting the game and load the new career with katusha once again.
I've a BIG problem now. Isn't it?
Maybe system restore windows 7?

In that case, you have a corrupt save game, as I said in the 2nd post. So you should do as said in the link I posted on post @2:
Just remove the broken save and you will be fine. The saves are here: my documents\pcm12\users\your name\database\solo\name of db\
There are backups of your save in the weeklysave folder, so you might want to copy one from there to the save game folder to continue your career.

Yes man, I did this over and over again with diverse saves of the 'weekly saves map', but it just won't load anything.
I have an Carriere2.cdi and one 'weeklysave'CDB-file now in the map, but it won't load anymore.
I'm stuck now, i think? System restore (point)?

Well, one of the weekly saves has to work otherwise you'd have the loading problem earlier instead of only having it now. Make sure the folder is empty, then copy a weekly save, see if it works. If it doesn't, delete the weekly save, copy another, see if it works. And so on, always having only one file in the saves directory. Additionally you can delete the .cdi and .cdb~, they'be created again when you load the save.
