South Africa

Jayco RB and Rapha Condor certainly hit the jackpot here. 428 points for Rapha, 393 for Jayco - and Bianchi also scoring well with 211. Rapha Condor thus reclaim the lead once again, while Red Bull are now already into a strong position in regards to promotion, if they can keep this up.

Nice, even though South Africa destroyed my lead :-p

Anyway, will you make "promotion contenders" topics like you did (it was you who did it right?) last year? I enjoyed them then, and then I wasn't even among the teams up there ;-)

Christer
Can't really complain about my results so far. I think many people expected me to be further down. Also: I'm ahead of Venchi, so that is a huge bonus for me! Grin

Waghlon
I would like to point out, again, that i do not intend to be a promotion contender this season.

Good for me that I am probably one of the teams with less races so far and also without my two leaders being involved yet. So hopefully I will be able to improve in March.

That will probably change quite fast. Pfft Oh, and didn't we figure out something like: Venchi has much more points pr. raceday than WWE? Pfft

Smowz
South Africa made up for a very weak Mallorca race for Jayco Red Bull. So pleased to have got over 1000 points already, hope to remain solid in March (and Lugano).

South Africa does show the advantage of picking the right races to enter, but I'm very happy to still be in the top 10 after not racing fro a while. Think this time last season i had about 10 points lol.

Just hope that Davis can carry his form from Catalunya back to the CT and whatever his next race is

With any luck, March will be very good to us. Koren makes his debut, Sanchez has a couple opportunities, Stetina will lead in Langkawi, and Eastman will target the shorter stage races.

I can finish on second last place and be happy on one condition. Venchi is behind me. Pfft As long as that happens, I will be happy. Grin

Good that there are still many many one day hill classics up to come..

300 points to make up but just 12 to the second promotion place (as Rapha won't promote)

But the first Bianchi rider in the individual rankings is at 18th.. I hope at the end that someone is in the top 10

Cobo has to show what he got at GP di Lugano.. Grin

Happy enough with 7th for Vespa. Barring Ginanni's win in the first race we've had a crappy run of results.

Having said that - I think we'll really suffer due to lack of race days for our leaders.

18th isn't bad I guess, with the bad luck we've had in Mallorca. I just hope Algarve doesn't turn out to have such a mad pile of contenders, otherwise my hopes of a reasonable season can be thrown down the sink.

Anyway congrats SN and Smowz. The african plan seems to be paying its dividends.

Not last, so thats good. Plus most of our better riders have more race days in the later part of the season, so this might actually be a successful season. Anuar Manan. Cool Now Meiji just want to gain ground on our rivals Oz and everything will be good.

No surprise seeing Rapha in first, they've been dominant everywhere this season. Red Bull look very strong too!

Quite a pleasant season start for Puma, but that is surely not where we can end up.

Bennati has 4/5th of his race days left and Rolland 7 stage races to score, but the better depth of many worse placed teams will put them in front of us sooner or later.

Thanks to Baden Cooke and Bobdrige's win at Nedbank Cyclce we can be pretty satisfied with the rankings so far Smile All we can hope for is some surprising wins like Bobridge's one and Shaun Lewis' stage-win in Wellington.. and, of course, Cooke's sprint-chances.. Meji had a pretty good start into the season as well.. the battle for last place will be interesting! At least, we got some points in so far, that's good news for Oz Cycling. Now let's hope for some nationality-bonus in Malaysia Smile

I just have to remind myself I've only had 17 race days thus far including some of my weakest line-ups.

Bring on the cobbles, I say!

Had a lot to catch up on, since I've had two weeks without proper internet connection, so this has rounded up things nicely Pfft

Cyclevox are kinda where I expected. It's just a matter of keeping this up over the rest of the season, but I've got to admit, good luck has played a large part so far.

With 21 race days used, and 26,6 points for each race day so far, I can't really complain. Though, most of our points were taken in Venezuela, and Larsson didn't really prove himself in San Luis. Hopefully that's all about to change, as 34 race days will be used in March.

For the promotion spots, it's wide open, and with Jayco's jackpot in South Africa, they definitely joined the battle for promotion. Though, with Di Maggio's show off in New Zealand, Team Venchi should be up there throughout the season, they could do promotion in their first season.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the continuation! Smile
