Cyanide Variant Pack

Cyanide gave PCM Daily all their PCM10 PT editor files for the DB.
So I converted the races into the PCM11 format during the last weeks.
All stages were done by Cyanide for PCM10, they are not my stages.
All the stages are already included in the PCM Daily DB as variants.

Installation:
Copy all the files into CM_Stages. The descr files into the variant folder. Maybe you have to change the descr number to avoid overwriting other files. Then add these numbers into the race rules in the variant folder.
After a career new start you will have the 2010 profiles as variants. For existing careers edit DYN_variant_date and DYN_Variant_stage as mentioned quite often in other threads.

any chance you could put a bit more info in regarding adding the desc rules etc? as a newbie, i see these files are xml documents in the variant folder and the other stages are cds files. i can see sort of what needs to be done in the rules document, but i will be the first to admit i am not confident of succeeding!

cds and zces: Stage files
descr: Variant file, describes the stage name and what stages are used in the variant. Can be opened with the notepad editor of windows.
rules: Variant file, defines the order of appearance of the variants, The numbers in there link to the number of the descr file. Opened with notepad.
If you open some of the descr and rule files, you will see how they work. Pretty easy actually. But as said no need to install these if you use the PCM Daily DB. |

i always wondered why cyanide didn't include the 2010 routes as variants in this year's game, but at least they made it available now!

I hope the Dauphinee problem 2013/14 is also solved with this new files. Not sure as I have no time to test it at the moment.

Where would I find all the relevant .DEM files for all continents???? I found 1 for China, but want to learn to create stages in other regions.
Just direct me to the relevant thread or download location.

HI at all.... three questions for who know...in the last version of daily pack(PCMdaily2012DBV2) are already included variants ( like giro2010 or tour 2010)? second question, i must do something to make such variants work if i start a carrier?
Last one with this new pack with variant is it solved the Dauphiné stage problem?

Yes, they are already included. Dauphine has been fixed too. The variants will work automatically if installed correctly. |
