Philippe Gilbert
laidbackmarc
Hello!

Yesterday I bougt a new computer and decided to start playing PCM again. I have played since 2004 but the last halfyear I have been without computer but now I am back!

And since my english teacher complains over my bad english grammatic I decided to write a story because I think it could be one of the best ways to learn good english? So if you see some misstakes in grammar or spelling, leave a comment Grin

Well, enough about that. I have decided to write a story abour one rider since I doesn't got all time in the world. The rider is Philippe Gilbert and I choosed him because he is my favorite rider at the moment. Let's hope he is clean to, I HATE DOPED RIDERS and I going try to avoid them in my team.

At the moment I am downloading the game so Team presentation and Rider presentation will follow tomorrow morning. Stay Tuned.

Team Presentation:

I have decided to play with an coustom team instead of Omega Pharma, since I think that all random are boring.

The team name is Team Canyon - PikePure and the big goal is to become the next german PT team. E.ON, Continental and Hugo Boss has signed as secondary sponsors so the team budget is pretty large. The jersey is made by my own. It's pretty simple design, so if any shirtmaker wants to give it a shot you're welcome. You can find pictures here: https://www.canyon...zabel.html

Here is the jersey:
img194.imageshack.us/img194/5152/c00maillotcopy.jpg

The squad is pretty good and big for a CT team, it is made up by 22 riders with Philippe Gilbert as the absolute leader. In the team we also got a good sprinter in Ciolek, two stage racers in Roche and Löfkvist and several young talents.
img823.imageshack.us/img823/7285/squadi.jpg

And here are the season goals:
img809.imageshack.us/img809/9796/goals.jpg

And finally Philippe's program for February:
01/02 GP la Marseillaise
07-11/02 Vuelta a Mallorca
27/02 Omaloop Het Nieuwsblad
28/02 Kuurne-Bruxelles-Kuurne

And thanks for all the nice comments! Grin

lucciox95
Are you going to ask for a wildcard at Tour Down Under? Grin

laidbackmarc
@lucciox: No, I skipped that.

BTW I will soon post GP la Marseillaise

Good luck for GP la Marseillaise, hopefully Gilbert can start the season in the right direction Grin

laidbackmarc
The favorites were, Jerome Coppel, Graga Bole, Gustav Erik Larsson and of course Philippe Gilbert. Would he be able two win without any races or trainingcamps (I know some of you hates them, so I am not using them) and only 58 fitness points?

Serge Pauwels went in the breakaway today. He was the best rider there and the gained 5 minutes as most.
img64.imageshack.us/img64/989/127yc.jpg

Lampre is chasing the breakaway and in the big hill in the middle the peleton is divided in two pieces. Roche, Gilbert and Martens are there!
img822.imageshack.us/img822/1250/pcm0012s.jpg

Lampre continues the pace and soon Gilbert is alone!
img838.imageshack.us/img838/8787/12059737.jpg

Gilbert attacks and catch the breakaway and soon he rides away from them too. At the top of the big hill he has 29 secs down to the peleton.
img835.imageshack.us/img835/1008/98783639.jpg

The gaps continues to grew and with 20 kms to go he has 1'41
img855.imageshack.us/img855/9210/115ix.jpg

With 14 kms to the gap decreaces to 1'33. FDJ and SaxoBAnk are chasing hard.
img848.imageshack.us/img848/3640/116e.jpg

But Philippe is simply the strongest today. The pelton only came as close as 43 secs.
img34.imageshack.us/img34/7669/pcm0027.jpg

Victory for Philippe in his first race this season! Banana
img851.imageshack.us/img851/17/29123712.jpg

This race was way to easy. If it continues like this I will probably change to extreme level. Wink Results:

Great!! Win in your first race of the season! Very early move by Gilbert, but very well executed. When I also the amount of energy he had left with 14 kms with that gap I thought he wouldn't make it. But he did!

Just a hint: you can press Ctrl+U to hide everything for taking screenshots. But if you want to do that or want to show energy bars, and so on (it's interesting to see it sometimes) it's up to you Wink
