After a promising but ultimately slightly disappointing debut season, we are back for more in 2015. Despite an awful start to the season, we eventually picked up 11 stage wins last year, including the crown jewel of them all, on the Champs-Élysées, as well as a stunning overall victory in the Course de la Paix by Phil Lavery. This year, our very young squad is one year older and one year better so we hope to move up the rankings a bit.

British Gas Cycling Academy powered by Centrica

Our development team will also remain this year and is title sponsored by British Gas, which is, of course, a subsidiary of main sponsor Centrica. As Endura Racing Team, last season was dreadful for our development team as they were comfortably outclassed by riders that should have been winning WT races, not pretending they were still youngsters.

The riders selected for the Academy include five Endura veterans from last year, with both Dan McLay and Sam Harrison hoping to do enough to earn a promotion to the main team next season in their final U23 year. The three D's - Doull, Dibben and Davies will lead the team in hilly races, cobbled races and the mountains, respectively.

Andy Byrne joins the team after showing promise in domestic races last year and is a rider who likes a long, tough race. The first of our scholarships have both gone to North Americans, Canadian climber Louka Tremblay joins after originally agreeing to ride for Avia and is a very similar rider to Byrne. Our final rider is twenty-year-old, Tom Rose from America, who calls himself a time triallist, but he has more strings to his bow than just the rides against the clock, and could become almost any type of rider he wants to be with the right training.

We hope for a much better season than last year now that the rules have been sorted out.

La-Antarte

The La-Antarte team was in the Continental Tour in the first season but did very well and have earned promotion to the World Tour. The team is Portuguese and we are proud that our main leader last season was a Portuguese rider in Rui Costa but that may have to be different this season. Tiago Machado is also one of the stronger riders in the team to come out of Portugal that is in the team. The team's strengths will be in the Mountains, the hills and stage races of all kinds. We have made the decision to not go for first on the flats because they already have their dominant teams.

Season 1

In the first season of ICL we were in the Continental Tour and we had a very good season. The team took 21 stage, GC and one day race wins which was an extremely good effort. Our 3 stand out riders were Rui Costa, Peter Velits and Franco Pellizotti. Velits finished 3rd in the CT and 13th in the Prestige, Costa 8th in CT and 21st in Prestige, Pellizotti 11th in CT and 32nd in Prestige. These three lead us to 2nd in the Overall CT Team rankings and 8th in the World Tour rankings.

Notable Results:
-1st in the GC in the Volta ao Algarve (1 stage win)
-1st in the GC in Pais-Vasco (2 stage wins)
-1st in the GC in the Tour de Pologne (2 stage wins)

FC Porto Youth Team

i1309.photobucket.com/albums/s635/Bikex/icl-fcp_maillot_zpsa3e0eee1.png

As a manager who likes to get riders cheaply it only made sense that a youth team would be necessary to grow our own talent to use in the World Tour in seasons to come. The FC Porto youth team is owned by the Porto Football Club and run in conjunction with La-Antarte. The first season for this young team saw some very good young riders developing their talents. Mateusz Nowak was most definitely the best rider for the team and took their only victory winning stage 1 of the Tour of Berlin. He is the most promising rider to have come out of season 1. This season we shall focus on climbs and sprints and hopefully we can develop more young talent.

ICL 14 – Introduction

ICL 14 – Season Sum-Ups: One, Two, Final

With a string of success including the Giro d'Italia victory, the Ardennes Treble and podium places at le Tour and la Vuelta, Liberty Seguros - Würth has been one of the dominant teams in the World Tour Rankings in the first season of the ICL, winning the Ranking by over 1000 points lead. Though still lacking strength in the paved classics, the team has been a powerhouse in mountaineous stage races and hilly classics. Whilst Liberty Seguros - Würth will want to ensure further success, we look to invest in a bright, long-term future of the sport and the team's first achievement of the season is already the establishment of La Fundación.

The list of 32 victories will be hopefully richly expanded this year.

Squad

Final Squad after Round 3
The squad has been built to be fairly balanced with an emphasis on time trial with Tom Dumoulin and Jan Barta so we will be targetting races with team and individual time trials.

Our stage racer Jérôme Coppel is a bit suspect on hills so we need to be careful to choose the right profiles for him.

The sprint chain is a bit short so we might struggle to get Adam Blythe in contention.

Attacking riders Joseph Dombrowski, Brent Bookwalter and Julien Simon will hopefully get a couple of results from breaks.

Matthieu Ladagnous is our lone cobbler so will have to fend for himself on the pave.

Calendar

I decided not to apply for any grand tours and we are only racing in 3 WT events that are heavy on the time trial. I am hoping this will maximise the point scoring opprotunites for the team leaders, but I know I am going to feel left out during the big races. I just hope this plan means I will be racing them as a WT team next season.

Hello and welcome to the headquarters of the Team Parmalat - HTC. We hope that you'll enjoy this presentation!

The Sponsors

Parmalat is a multinational Italian dairy and food corporation. The company became the leading global company in the production of long-life milk using the ultra-high-temperature (UHT) process, Today, Parmalat is a company with a global presence, having operations in Europe, Latin America, North America, Australia, China and South Africa and in 2015 they decided to make themselves more visible becoming the main sponsor of a cycling team along with HTC: a Taiwanese manufacturer of originally designed smartphones.

The Squad

The Squad is made up of almost only Italian riders, including
as team leaders: Moreno Moser, Sonny Colbrelli and Daniel Oss.
The team is actually focusing on hilly classics. All the riders are under-30 and the roster is made up of 16 riders. Here's the official 2015 season squad:

Davide Appollonio
Enrico Barbin
Giorgio Bianconi
Maxime Bouet
Mattia Cattaneo
Sonny Colbrelli
Toni Forlani
Jacopo Guarnieri
Moreno Moser
Daniel Oss
Andrea Palini
Gabriele Pizzaballa
Diego Rosa
Luca Wackermann
Pasquale Zani
Gianfranco Zilioli

The Equipment

Team Parmalat - HTC signed a contract with fi'zi:k as the clothing sponsor and with Merida as the bikes sponsor. Season 2 Statement:

No more are we entering an ICL season as if we were walking into the abyss. With one season behind us we are now very confident we know what it takes to perform even better this time around. We were considered, by some, the most rounded team in the ICL last season, which enabled us to finish so highly. Well, if we were rounded last season we will be doubly rounded this!

Of the top WT teams last season we were the most to invest in training and also the younger players, two factors which should give us some kind of advantage this time around.

After a titanic battle, world champ, Phillipe Gilbert will be riding for us in the rainbow jersey, leading in style. The whole team, for that matter, will be riding in a brand new team kit with all the trimmings in what may well be
'The Total Package'.
