I suppose you could add it using an editor (both in regions and country), but to make it look properly you would need to add a flag as well.
Have been considering the same thing regarding my "Nordic Cycling Project Story" but haven't quite gotten to that part yet...

Hmm...but I'm sooo lazy...LOL. And yes, Icelandic cyclists may be few and far between, but as many as 10-20 of the 1000 people living there probably cycle around. |

Iceland is already in the game, you just have to open your database with an editor, then take the STA_region table and turn 0 into 1 (or more if you want more icelandic riders) in the "gene_i_weight" column. Then your scout can find young icelandic riders

Wonderful.
I only have PCM11 (where Iceland is not included/hidden).
Could I get anyone to upload the file which names of young riders are generated from? And perhaps even a flag as well? That would be awesome!
I already have a PCM12 .cdb file used in PCMCL, so I can just copy all other data from there

This is my personal regen.xml file, which contains realistic names of young riders by country
You just have to replace the regen.xml in the game (which has no icelandic names, so young riders will be all named John Doe) by this one. |

davidian: Only just saw your post now but thanks a lot for the file.
I have now been trying to add Iceland and it appears on the map as a scouting zone, but without a name. I could not find anywhere to put a full name - only the column "gene_str_id_country_name" in both "STA_country" and "STA_region".
Does anyone know where I can add the actual country name?

As far as I know, the text is in the local.cdb. I cannot remember the table name but it should be obvious.
You can edit that file using an editor (except Fast Editor if I am not mistaken) |

For future reference a new country name is added by adding a line in "STA_localized_string"

I have lost the regen file including Icelandic names and the link doesn't work anymore.
Could anyone be so kind to upload their regen file (I believe the one from PCM12 both works and includes Iceland) so I can get on with my story?

the attachments on posts 17 & 18 should be what you are looking for, albeit in excel form so it would require some work to get it useable.

I'm trying to add a Country as well, but STA_localized_string is empty and i'm not sure what exactly i should put in there. Does anybody know?

You need to edit STA_localized_string from the Local.cdb, located in My Docs/PCM12.
