i am in december 2013 and it seem boonen, gilbert and gesink are without a team, so i load the savegame with fulleditor and change for any rider:
team 119 to 44(BMC)/10(omega)/14(Rabobank) in DYN_cyclist.
but i have a problem:
i open DYN_contract_cyclist and i add 3 new contracts 1 for any raider with same settings of 2012 (except for contract end date that i set as 2015)
when i load the game i read (in cyclist infos):
gilbert in BMC it is OK!
boonen in Omega it is OK!
gesink in Rabo it is OK!
but any salary is set to 0 and as end date i see an undefinited "-"
the game say me that:
gilbert and gesink are looking for a team, instead boonen is lefting the game (this is the last year!)
why my settings (2 years contracts) wasnt apply?

best way to fix it is to goto a savegame before 24/10... then you can edit them and the contract and they are transfered to the team and everything is ok.
fixing it after 24/10 is doable, but more work.
you altered the team in dyn_cyclist, but you also will have to link the newly created contract_id from dyn_contract_cyclist. And the last part about the text that the riders says about his future is also stored in dyn_cyclist; fkIDcyclist_future.
hope this helps. |

Based on what TankNL said, I would think that the steps for adding a contract for a rider with no contract after 24-10 are:
1 - Create a contract for the cyclist in DYN_contract_cyclist.
2 - Link the rider and the contract in DYN_cyclist -> fkIDcontract.
3 - Link the rider and the team in DYN_cyclist -> fkIDteam.
4 - Change the rider status from 'free' to 'happy to stay' by changing DYN_cyclist -> fkIDcyclist_future from 8 to 6.
I just tested it, and it worked (the rider went to the team and was 'happy to stay' ), but I could still offer him a contract and - after trying to do so - I managed to sign him. He went to my team, was not in the other team anymore and that's it, everything normal, except that the rider still had 2 contracts in DYN_contract_cyclist, one with my team and the other with the other team. So I'm guessing that there is still another value that we need to change; does anybody know which one?

Thanks lluuiiggii.
Well i donĀ“t want these riders in my team because when i go to DYN_contract_cyclist all the riders there are the ones from my team..it seems these steps are to sign them to my team and i wish to sign them to other teams..

No, DYN_contract_cyclist are all contracts from all riders in the game. These steps would be for adding riders w/o contract to any team. If you wanted to add them to your team you could just go there in game and sign them, it's not hard at all
But I didn't post these as the solution for your problem. As I said, I thought that the way to do what you want would be this (what I posted), but something's missing (since I can still negotiate with them after adding them in a team). I'm asking if anybody knows what is missing.

lluuiiggii: Normally it should not be possible to sign riders which have a contract still. So you should either give them a contract to a foreign team or no contract at all. If you want to have them in your team, you can contact them or just add a contract linked to your team. |

Yes, I know. I'm trying to do what baia want to do: get a rider which is free at the end of the season and put him in a team (because several good riders might be left without a team in PCM11). I've managed to do this, but there's a flaw in my method: if I (the human player) can still negotiate and eventually sign the rider, then probably the AI teams can as well, meaning that me adding him into a team will be useless (he might end up in another team, because he behaves like he's still a free rider). I want to know if somebody knows what is missing on the way I assigned him to a team (what is causing this problem).

OK, now I understand.
As far as I know other teams don't negotiate after the racing season is over.
Also I believe that he value in fkIDcyclist_future should not be "happy to stay" because it is a "pre-contract" status. Try to change it to something else. |

Well if teams do not negotiate after 24/10 then it's okay to use that method to add riders to other teams. I've taken a look and almost all riders with contract (after they've changed teams) have status 6, happy to say. I don't have time to test it now, but here are the values of the cyclist future:
1 | FACHE | Annoyed, will not sign a new contract. | 2 | TRISTE_DE_PARTIR | Sad to leave | 3 | IMPATIENT_DE_PARTIR | Can't wait to leave | 4 | VEUT_RESIGNER | Wants to sign a new contract | 5 | NE_VEUT_PAS_RESIGNER | Does not want to sign a new contract | 6 | SATISFAIT_DE_RESTER | Happy to stay with the team | 7 | DOUTE | He lacks confidence right now | 8 | SANS_EQUIPE | Looking for a team | 9 | A_TROUVE_UN_CONTRAT | Happy to have a contract | 10 | N_EST_PAS_RENOUVELE | Worried about ending up without a contract at the end of the season. | 11 | RETRAITE | Will hang up his wheels at the end of the season |
