[2026] Wildcard Awards
ManGame-Admin
Couldn't find last year's thread so hopefully nothing has been missed. If anything looks wrong below let us know. Planner check totals reflecting these assignments are available in the Planners thread.

PCT Wildcards to PT Races

Less interest in wildcards this year than last with 12 teams buying some wildcards. Just 6 managers requested GT wildcards so they all got 1. The greatest demand was for monuments so a couple of managers only got 1 monument, they both got an extra classic as a trade off. Not much demand for stage races so some open slots there.

In the GTs, Bianchi Enel and Gjensidige will rider the Tour de France. First ever Grand Tour for Bianchi with Gjensidige last riding one in 2022. Grieg and Spark will be in Italy, Grieg has many recent Grand Tours and Spark rode one last year but with the low demand they get to go again. Trans and McCormick get the Vuelta Espana. Trans also rode a GT last year while McCormick made their only other GT appearance in the 2023 Tour de France.

Grieg also get Milan San Remo and Roubaix, so they maintain a strong presence in the PT despite their demotion. Tryg are the other wildcard in both those races. Jura chose the climbing monuments and get Lomardia and LBL while Bianchi gets some variety with RVV and Lombardia. Sauber is the other entrant in LBL, Duvel ride the Ronde.

Two managers with wildcards had not submitted their transfer sheet so spending couldn't be verified. If they haven't funded their wildcards their assignments would be dropped.

Full list of wildcards is in the spoiler

CT Wildcards to PCT Races

For the first time ever CT teams were able to purchase wildcards to PTHC races. Six managers took on a pioneer role testing this out. 1 purchased 4-6 days, 3, 7-9 and 2, 11-13 days. One of the managers hasn't submitted a priority list yet. But there is room in all the races so assignments could be made for everyone else and everybody got their first choices.

Tour of the Battenkill, Tour de Suisse and the Tour of Slovenia were the most popular choices with al getting 2 CT wildcards.

The spoiler shows the full list.

I guess it's only right that Pedersen and Per face off in some big races this year, even if I would prefer they didn't. Pfft

Congrats on the wildcards guys. Pretty happy that the TTT wildcards doesn't really seem threatening. Most other races have some strong riders involved.

Yes! Really keen to ride the giro with a freshly maxed Carlos! I picked the giro because we did the vuelta last season and the tour can wait until we are in the PT division. Really keen to do the giro!

Congrats on all wildcards!

Happy with monuments and stage races, not so much with classics. Why do we only get to ride a single one? Isn't it the case that for every race category the available races are equally divided among the teams?
I see that we got a lot of stage races, because there was little interest - were we "punished" for that in the classics category? Or is it just a matter of priorization?

In the end, happy with the wildcards we got. Will give me a free chance of trying out Schmid in some races, guess it's rather obvious that our priority list was set up mostly with him in mind Wink
I'll just have to decide whether he'll ride Lombardia or Emilia - but given that the latter could decide on promotion or not, it's a rather clear case... And I'm sure Godoy will like all the climbing as well Pfft

And glad to see 6 applicants for GT, so I don't have to regret skipping them given that I was given the absolute lowest priority. Hoping to rider 3 of them next year instead. Without wildcards obviously.

Looking forward to our 2 PTHC races! Do I remember exactly why I chose them? No; will we be excited to see what racing at that level looks like? Absolutely!

Hey at least you don't have to fear Wirtgen there, swings and roundabouts!

Looking forward to new and improved Bini competing against the PT field Smile I'm especially curious about how he'll deal with Strada Appia Antica, should be a good indication for the future, too.
