Lots of pressure on the Ciccone, Quintana, and Cattaneo trio to do well in the mountain stage races. All 5 goals should be pretty hard. The KOM is so volatile, but the lineup does look suited to go for it. The ranking goal might be the most achievable one though.

Sponsor change on the horizon?
According to murmurs heard around Italy the Colombian sponsor, Ecopetrol, are not happy with the Colombian exposure when compared to the money they are paying.
Several other companies are said to be in line to take over, as Parmalat can not carry the full sponsorship economically.

An unhappy sponsor is never good news (especially as the failed Hodeg-deal could have some late consequences here :redface , but a potential new sponsor is also always exciting! It will be interesting not only who could replace Ecopetrol but also if that is connected with a focus region shift.

I'm not really allowed to tell, but Petróleos de Venezuela SA (PDVSA) are looking for somewhere to offload some cash.

We can happily announce, that the future of the team is in place.
Parmalat will stay on as a main sponsor, but Ecopetrol has decided to leave after only one season.
We have now secured financial stability, with the addition of sponsor money from Croatia - specifically the national tourism board aiming to promote the beautiful country.
Next year, the name of the team will therefore be: Parmalat - Croatia Cycling Team

New direction is always exciting. Looking forward to how this potentially impacts the team personnel.

Maybe we can collab given we're in the same region. Good luck!

Wow, big change but a cool one! Excited to see how you go about it in the off-season

1. Finish in the top 10 of the CT team standings
For so long we actually held on to a top 10 even climbing as high as ninth, but in the end we dropped down to 11th place, and came very close to our goal, but much like the rest of the season, we needed anothwer bike length or two.
2. Win at least 8 stages in stage races
As above, we cam very close and only needed one more stage win to achieve it. 5 from van der Lijke, 1 from Quintana and a TTT win out of nowhere wasn't quite enough to get 8.
3. Win the KOM jersey in Tour de Pologne
"You muct have a C1 goal", thay said. "Erm, okay..." I replied, knowing very well that we wouldn't achieve any wins, so we rolled the dice and ended up aiming for the KoM jersey in the Tour de Pologne. We had decent climbers, so why not. Instead, non climber Davide Gabburo decided to go for gold and grab the polka dots (is it polka dot in Poland? Isn't polka Polish?)
4. Win the Vuelta al Tachira
We needed goals, so why not pick a climber race in Venezuela?
We missed the goal harder than Darwin Nunez, and Ciccone in 45th place was our closest rider. Am I an idiot?
5. Win Giro del Trentino
We came closer in our home turf race when Dutchman Martijn Tusveld managed to grab 12th.
All in all?
I am quite happy with the season. Our squad wasn't all that great, but we managed to scrape a few wins. Last minute signing Nick van der Lijke turned out to still have power in his old legs, and was our winningest rider in the end.
Half the squad or so are in decline or close to, so there will likely be a lot of turnover on the roster in the off season.
And, with our secondary switch to Croatia, we might look to the Balkans for riders.
