This turned out to be a surprisingly crucial stage for the youth classification. Half the break is u25 and puts themselves into a good position to annoy me for a while. Especially Chumil could stick around some time. But most importantly, Rodriguez completely shits the bed. No clue what happened but thats a huge time loss for him.
Plapp and Eenkhoorn also losing some time today but not nearly as decisive as CRod. Very curious how tomorrow plays out. Originally that was when i was expecting/hoping to take the u25 lead. Now i probably have to hope to see Eenkhoorn in the break i guess?

Great job by Delco, getting almost the maximum out of this stage - next time we should just send someone like Setiawa up front so Delco can relax the whole day as well ^^
Getting a stage win here as well would be great, as we already have Giro and TdF this year...

Interesting day with the breakaway already let go on stage 5, before we even see any climbers joining it. Carthy was good I guess, though until and unless he goes in a break, it doesn't mean much to me. The team surely had an outsized presence towards the front, though maybe we burned out a little bit by the end doing it.
Congrats to Ezee! For all the struggles this year, no one can take a GT stage win away from you!

Sucks to be one of those teams who are just ignored for breakaways for no apparent reason. But here we are…

It was fun for a day.

Holy... f*** ... WHy? WHat? How?!
Can someone explain WHY we won a GT STage? And also have another Top 10 finish????
Checking results every day I hope i can spot a rider in the top 25 and this will make me already happy but this???? Incredible! WHat an awesome day for us. A superb ride by Camrda with winning a Stage at the Vuelta! The breakaway did just some incredible work and the Peloton just underestimated them. Luckily we were able to profit from this the most. And also for van Bekkum a great result for all the work he did put in on this stage. Sensationel overall!
We knew before it will be a hard year and were satisfied with little highlights, this is now the 2nd Win and on one of the greatest stages. I can already say we are very happy with how this year went now!
Thanks for all the partcipiants in the breakaway also to make this possible.
And of course thanks for the report, they are even more fun to read with a result like this!

Big congratulations, Ezeefreak!
Very happy with the showing Toupalik gave us up front too. A 4th place on such a mountain stage is definitely more than we hoped for. Also a big peloton with Valter losing no time was encouraging, must admit it is fun to see him try to ride a GC, at least until the first proper mountain test on stage 11 From then on, fingers crossed he can rather focus on breakaways
Thank you for the report, UU! Love the consistency and the highlight it is to check for a stage in the morning |

That was not on my bingo card for the Vuelta, or any race or in the calendar! Broxham with an excellent ride to get us both the GC and U25 lead for the day! Amazing! MacC are you watching
Congrats to Ezee and thanks for the report!

Don't necessarily hate that we want to use our numbers but that was a disaster, we can't be leaving Areruya stranded in that big of a group, really baffling he's the only one there. Comment from yesterday about stage wins etc. still applies.
Amazing from Broxham, love it

The bad: Champoussin kind of at hte back of the group there at the finsih line; another breakaway win without us in it.
The good: Champoussin wad there for the attack; somehow Tolhoek and Ven den Broeck have not lost time so far.
