Some great riders/talents you got there! You know I love how Cras looks and you know I love your talents! Develop Gregoire well now so that he can join Peugeot in the future ;-)
If you in some magical way manage to keep hold of your talents when they max you will have a scary project here

Not liking the look of Gregoire. Guess I have to train Vansevenant enough, so that once Gregoire hits the prime, he will still easily lose. Good that there is a 3 year window to avoid his prime.
Cras obviously a nice rider to watch this season. Training sounds nice, unfortunately was not able to do this myself despite being in mix last year.
Not yet have the full CT climber overview but Galta vs Cras should be a nice duel. |

Interested to see if Cras can repeat his PT performance from last year in PCT and I guess Gregoire won't need a lot training after maxing

Nice catch in Gregoire, nice to see it in one of the 2022 class teams
Cras is a nice catch too.
I'll be interested in following your PCT adventures!

I'm pretty glad that Gregoire is rather a typical puncheur and hence shouldn't clash with Mauro in every single race
Awesome signing obviously, I can't even remember that a rider maxing at 82 in a main stat was added since I started in 2019... Just hoping that you don't get any issues keeping him in case you should relegate! But we're not there yet, so looking forward to see what you can do this season

This time we "only" have one new rider we can show you here. As before, another Talent with a nice future and this time again its one that make our partners happy!
Be aware that the shown development is just one of many oportunities.
 Jo Hashikawa - 22 Years - 85.000
| Level | FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | 1.00 | 65 | 69 | 68 | 66 | 62 | 67 | 68 | 70 | 58 | 57 | 66 | 66 | 67 | 61 | | 4.100 | 68 | 78 | 75 | 71 | 69 | 74 | 73 | 77 | 58 | 57 | 67 | 67 | 68 | 68 |
Jo has shown in his early years that he feels the best when he can climb. He has the skills to compete in Stage races for sure and maybe with some work he can be a threat there in the future.
---------------------
@Heine Thanks. I dont think magic is needed to keep them, just dedication and money in the end. If there happens a mircale and we stay in PCT (unlikely) that is not a problem at all and also for a future in CT we are prepared. SO better dont have too much hope on snatching an elite talent cheap next year
roturn haha, we might look like a CT Team but we are actually PCT, REALLY! We are glad we have Cras now and happy we could find a deal.
@redordead Cras in the end is our only "bet" for staying in thats why we also plan in investing in him.
@imladrik Thanks, i do my best to not look to shabby as 22 class member
@Fabianski This was the meain reason trying to get him and securing him finally. So i can focus on other stats in the future when Training him to make him even more succesful.
@all Like you can see our team isnt build for quick success at all. But we are aware of that and wanna build something nice for the future. So we "sacrfifice" our PCT present for this probably, but thats okay. Gives us possibilities.

I like Hashikawa. Very solid domestique climber who could also do well in the chances he gets for himself, with or without training. Grégoire is ok as well, hopefully he can win a TdF stage in the future and make his country proud!

Yeah, the issue will just be that if you take him down this path, and if OVL calculation remains the same, he'll get to 78.55, so training any stat by just one point would already cost you 1M... But not sure he actually needs any more training

Our next batch of signings contain some experience and help right now. But a bit room for development is still there.
Be aware that the shown development is just one of many oportunities.
 Marius Mayrhofer - 25 Years - 100.000
| Level | FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | 4.25 | 72 | 60 | 67 | 73 | 60 | 73 | 73 | 71 | 70 | 74 | 74 | 68 | 67 | 68 | | 4.100 | 74 | 60 | 67 | 73 | 60 | 75 | 74 | 79 | 71 | 76 | 76 | 68 | 67 | 68 |
Marius is with 25 already on a more advanced level and contribute right now but also has a little room for imprivement. He will target classics either hilly, flat or with cobbles and support there the leaders or seek his own chances
 Maral-Erdene Batmunkh - 31 Years - 50.000
| Level | FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | 4.100 | 73 | 54 | 60 | 65 | 63 | 72 | 72 | 65 | 73 | 74 | 74 | 68 | 58 | 73 |
Batmunkh will be a support for Sprints & Cobbles and maybe he can surprise a bit himself. We are happy we could sign another asian rider who can help the team right now.
 Guangtong Ma - 30 Years - 50.000
| Level | FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | 4.29 | 70 | 66 | 67 | 68 | 63 | 70 | 69 | 72 | 54 | 74 | 74 | 64 | 68 | 66 | | 4.100 | 72 | 66 | 67 | 68 | 63 | 70 | 70 | 80 | 54 | 76 | 76 | 64 | 68 | 68 |
A regional rider we signed late to help our sprinters. He has some potential left and might be even better next year even though he will be already over 30.

In 2 deals we could bring in another 2 riders to enhance our a team a big further for this season and prepare for the future.
Be aware that the shown development is just one of many oportunities.
 Karel Camrda - 24 Years - 50.000
| Level | FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | 4.13 | 69 | 71 | 71 | 71 | 69 | 73 | 74 | 73 | 54 | 66 | 72 | 71 | 68 | 71 | | 4.100 | 71 | 71 | 72 | 72 | 71 | 74 | 76 | 74 | 54 | 66 | 72 | 72 | 68 | 73 |
Karel we aquired in a Trade for Andersen. He is already further in his development and will be a bigger help already. WIth his versatile Skillset he will be a great Dom for the Leader in Stage Races.
 Muhammad Imam Arifin - 30 Years - 65.000
| Level | FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | 4.100 | 66 | 76 | 75 | 74 | 66 | 67 | 71 | 73 | 52 | 58 | 72 | 82 | 63 | 66 |
Arifin we aquired for Cash from Indosat Ooredoo. He obviously will help most likely Cras in the mountains but with his willpower and aggressive riding he might also seek his own chances or chase KOM Points & Jerseys.
------------------------------------------------
Its projected that not much changes, maybe only Theiler gone if someone wants to have him. Other oportunity would be a Loan In rider but overall we are don here.
This leaves us with the following Lineup (for now):
| Nat. | Name | FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | XP | Age | Wage | | Steff Cras | 68 | 78 | 75 | 72 | 73 | 78 | 77 | 77 | 58 | 60 | 67 | 61 | 67 | 70 | 4.100 | 29 | 170,000 | | Muhammad Imam Arifin | 66 | 76 | 75 | 74 | 66 | 67 | 71 | 73 | 52 | 58 | 72 | 82 | 63 | 66 | 4.100 | 30 | 65,000 | | Joris Delbove | 65 | 76 | 75 | 74 | 58 | 67 | 73 | 75 | 62 | 60 | 71 | 73 | 72 | 58 | 4.100 | 25 | 50,000 | | Florian Lipowitz | 63 | 75 | 74.5 | 74 | 59 | 66 | 75 | 74 | 58 | 59 | 73 | 76 | 66 | 58 | 4.100 | 25 | 50,000 | | Marius Mayrhofer | 72 | 60 | 67 | 73 | 60 | 73 | 73 | 71 | 70 | 74 | 74 | 68 | 67 | 68 | 4.25 | 25 | 100,000 | | Warre Vangheluwe | 77 | 60 | 62 | 64 | 71 | 74 | 76 | 70 | 72 | 62 | 71 | 76 | 68 | 71 | 4.9 | 24 | 50,000 | | Maral-Erdene Batmunkh | 73 | 54 | 60 | 65 | 63 | 72 | 72 | 65 | 73 | 74 | 74 | 68 | 58 | 73 | 4.100 | 31 | 50,000 | | Albin Stalberg | 68 | 53 | 56.5 | 60 | 57 | 65 | 77 | 71 | 58 | 78 | 74 | 73 | 66 | 65 | 4.12 | 24 | 50,000 | | Gal Glivar | 69 | 68 | 71 | 73 | 66 | 71 | 73 | 68 | 58 | 70 | 70 | 70 | 70 | 67 | 3.12 | 23 | 50,000 | | Karel Camrda | 69 | 71 | 71 | 71 | 69 | 73 | 74 | 73 | 54 | 66 | 72 | 71 | 68 | 71 | 4.13 | 24 | 50,000 | | Nicolas Heinrich | 69 | 65 | 62.5 | 60 | 70 | 68 | 76 | 70 | 74 | 67 | 73 | 69 | 65 | 75 | 4.11 | 24 | 50,000 | | Guangtong Ma | 70 | 66 | 67 | 68 | 63 | 70 | 69 | 72 | 54 | 74 | 74 | 64 | 68 | 66 | 4.29 | 30 | 50,000 | | Radoslaw Fratczak | 67 | 67 | 69 | 71 | 64 | 66 | 75 | 74 | 65 | 69 | 69 | 77 | 65 | 68 | 3.14 | 23 | 50,000 | | Darren Van Bekkum | 69 | 73 | 70.5 | 68 | 69 | 71 | 72 | 67 | 54 | 66 | 63 | 72 | 69 | 67 | 3.14 | 23 | 50,000 | | Roel Van Sintmaartensdijk | 77 | 63 | 64.5 | 66 | 71 | 72 | 72 | 71 | 65 | 65 | 73 | 69 | 65 | 71 | 4.20 | 24 | 50,000 | | Romain Gregoire | 69 | 66 | 68 | 70 | 61 | 70 | 71 | 67 | 65 | 66 | 71 | 68 | 72 | 57 | 1.0 | 22 | 880,000 | | Kazuto Minami | 71 | 66 | 67 | 68 | 65 | 69 | 66 | 69 | 60 | 62 | 66 | 68 | 65 | 63 | 1.0 | 22 | 75,000 | | Lucas Lopes | 60 | 69 | 69 | 69 | 55 | 70 | 69 | 69 | 53 | 56 | 66 | 71 | 69 | 55 | 1.0 | 22 | 50,000 | | Shoma Hayashibara | 68 | 57 | 62 | 67 | 55 | 68 | 69 | 62 | 63 | 67 | 70 | 66 | 65 | 61 | 1.0 | 22 | 50,000 | | Jo Hashikawa | 65 | 69 | 68 | 66 | 62 | 67 | 68 | 70 | 58 | 57 | 66 | 66 | 67 | 61 | 1.0 | 22 | 85,000 | | Tijmen Graat | 66 | 68 | 67 | 65 | 66 | 66 | 67 | 68 | 57 | 59 | 62 | 64 | 67 | 65 | 1.0 | 22 | 50,000 | | Ole Theiler | 66 | 57 | 59.5 | 62 | 67 | 66 | 70 | 67 | 59 | 63 | 67 | 65 | 66 | 71 | 1.68 | 23 | 50,000 |
Yes, we are indeed a PCT Team not a CT Team . But we didnt go into this transfer season with the the goal to promote or even try hard to not to relegate. Our goal was and is to build something for the future and we are happy how it shaped out in the end. We wanna see what many of our young riders can already do at this point and will gladly hand them over the "keys". As of now we have 22 riders, 17 of them still have potential to develop!
In the end we have 4 riders above 25, 3 of them are from asia and our sponsors and partners are very happy with this in the end. We would have liked to bring in a japanese veteran though but this wasnt possible (to acceptable conditions) this year. Therefor we could secure 3 neo pro's from japan.

It's a bold strategy and an admirable one to invest in youth and stick to the mission. You set the boundaries for yourself and ended within them. And you've picked up some really awesome talents here, with Gregoire obviously being the crown prize.
Personally, I'm a bit skiddish about where the strategy of going all in on talents to the detriment of scorers leaves you, given the wage cap restraints of CT. With Cras as your only real scorer, relegation seems quite likely. That would mean most of these talents are not going to get to max with you and will have to be let go in the end. If your thought, as it seems, is to be a dev team indefinitely from a roleplay perspective, that will still be quite fun. But personally, it would hurt me too much to potentially lose Gregoire after snagging him for this much.
Best of luck! You'll certainly be very fun to follow!

I think you're probably the number 1 pick for relegation this season, but as you stated yourself that's no surprise with the new focus. But although I like to see Delbove to be actually one of your best riders (as the one who developed him) it's actually a sign this could be a really frustrating season - apart from all those breakaway appearances by your talents and probably the occasional surprise win from one of those (and thise wins are really sweet!). And I second bbls fears that you probably won't be able to keep Gregoire im CT, though finding a huge deal for him won't be a problem at all.

I'm not too concerned tbh. Yes, you are likely going to relegat, but your team is "de-scaleable" without hurting it too much, with just one very expensive rider that will probably ask for half or somewhere around that - and the option to loan him out to save another 200K of his wage. Riders like Batmunkh and Ma could be lost out of necessity, while Mayrhofer will probably take a paycut despite developping.
Add to that a bunch of sellable riders to gain money for training f.e. Cras to be a dominant CT leader, and you'll head straight back up again, now with a team setting a perfect base to chase back-to-back promotions, and having Gregoire ready to lead the team

Gregoire a good signing. Should take a decent wage cut after this season as well so I think you should be fine should you relegate. Considering most other riders are 50k wage except for a few.
Gregoire will be great in the future! Excited for him to fill his potential with you in a few seasons!

When we went into Free Agency/Transfers we quickly saw that doing both, going for a young core that will be the future and riders that will keep us in PCT, was not possible. So we addopted and went the full Dev Path. Later adding a bit regional (asian) experience with Arifin, Batmunkh & Ma. From them we just hope to get a few points so we dont look to shabby in PCT. But all riders we added with the season 26 in mind and not just 25. None of the riders will deline, most will do the oposite so next year we can then select the ones who will ride for us in CT from the ones we have and we dont need to do a lot or even anything adding new riders next year. Our goal is fighting for promotion in 2027 again then. So its a long term plan.
Also we kinda excited to see what our youngsters can do already this year. Like Stalberg, he is not fully developed yet but we jst hand him the keys of our Sprint Train, lets see what happens.
@baseballlover312
We dont wanna be a development team forever but it will take time to build a solid core ourselves. So we happily "sacrifice" a few years
@kandesbunzler26
I would be surprised we are NOT #1 relegation candidate
Its probably unlikely that Gregoire will ride with us next year too but this doesnt mean he won't be our rider anymore then Like i said above it isnt meant to relegate this year and then fight for promotion already hard next year again. We have time.
@SotD
Exactly, now we have 22 riders. Next year, probably around 15 will be better than this year, None will be weaker. And out of this 22 i only need 15 next year (most likely). Lot of options to chose from next year already and to also maybe make money from.
@Jakstar22
Thanks. gregoire will be great and this time we just fully commited to getting him. I would have hoped for a little less in salary but we will make it work somehow.
-------------------------------------------
As we speak a bit about future. We also have heard from Stef that his Off Season Training seems to had an effect on him. He said he feels like the following now:

Thats a nice way to put it
Ezee should present his team with "future" skills instead of current

I’m back — kind of.
As almost every year, the period after transfers is usually when I need some time to recharge, this time even more after some exhausting but also fun time at work. I still visit the site regularly and follow the results, but I’m often not in the mood to post much. This season especially, with the way our team is built, there isn’t a lot of immediate success to comment on. And I don’t like writing just for the sake of writing when there’s simply nothing meaningful to say.
I still very much appreciate the work of the reporters — I’ve said that before and will gladly do so again when there’s something to react to. Until then, my activity will mostly be limited to HQ updates.
So let’s address the elephant in the room:
No, I’m not quitting.
I genuinely like our team project and want to see where it goes over the next seasons. I don’t mind if we end up setting a record for the lowest-scoring season — that was known from the start. This team and this long-term idea are the one thing I truly enjoy here.
To be blunt: I’m not a fan of how the game itself is developing (or rather, how it feels like it isn’t). Because of that, I’ll fully focus on simply being one of the managers — no background work, no extra involvement beyond that.
Let’s see if the MG admins are fine with that .

Four months into the season, our position in the team standings reflects exactly what DeNA Roadstars set out to do: build, not rush.
With a squad mainly focused on young talent, short-term points were never the priority. The current table shows patience in action, not underperformance.
On an individual level, the same picture emerges. No headline scorers yet, but steady progress and valuable race experience across the roster. A special mention goes to Joris Delbove, whose 41 points are highlighted by a 4th place on Stage 4 of the prestigious Tour of Slovenia — a clear sign of the potential within this team.
This season is about learning, exposure, and foundations.
The results will come — just on a longer, more sustainable timeline.
???? DeNA Roadstars – built for the future.

Cool to hear you're here to stay!
The season has been the expected hard one, but this also makes the highlights the merrier. I've already mentioned somewhere else how happy I am that Delbove had his first really outing riding for his own, something he probably wouldn't be able to do with us. And I'm sure there will be some more successes to come and to celebrate!
