Kon'nichiwa
We're back for the new season, but everything remains the same at our HQ! Last season proved to be one with a lot of highlights, a lot of new records and a glorious first - Promotion to PT! After two previous promotions, one relegation and four consecutive seasons in the PCT, we have finally made the big step up to the highest echelon of cycling! We are also extremely proud to have done it just a couple of seasons into our brand identity overhaul, something which makes this achievement even sweeter!
The move to the top division brings its own set of challenges, and decisions, and with it comes the additional goal of trying to build a team capable of being competitive among the best in the world at the first go! It will not be easy, but we will try our best to get there.

Sony continues their title sponsorship of the team for the third season. We were able to meet and then exceed their expectations in terms of performances last season, getting promoted and making any future negotiations a lot easier. However, we still have some way to go regarding meeting their regional focus requirements, which will determine their direction in the future.
Force India enter the last year of our current contract, with us adding the third and fourth Indian riders to ever be contracted in off-season last time. This time again, we will go in with the same goal, but our sponsors have already informed us of their decision to part ways after this season, as they do not have any more riders lined up capable of making it through to the big-time any time soon. As such, we hope to be able to sign-of on our association with them on a high note. No minor sponsor changes for us this time, as we would like to continue with the working combination. | Banking and Insurance Partner | ABN Amro | | Automobile Partners | Toyota (Cars) and VDL (Buses) | | Equipment | Fuji (Frames), SRAM (Groupsets), Shimano (Wheels), Continental (Tyres) and Kask (Helmets) | | Jersey | Reebok |
Primary Focus: Japan
Japan remains our primary focus, being the country of our primary sponsors. We will continue to seek out established riders and talents from across Asia, as we build our team identity on the continent.
Secondary Focus: Netherlands
Our crop of Dutch talents are doing well for themselves and we are very excited to see them compete with the best of the best. Netherlands thus remains our secondary sponsor, with a strong core team already in place for this purpose.

I'm surprised Force India are dropping out, especially as they currently outnumber the Japanese in the team, will be interesting to see if another Indian sponsor steps up next season.

@knockout and @sammy: Force India were happy to sponsor us for the 'golden' generation of Indian cycling. With that being over for now, we will part ways. The option to tie up again in the future always remains open.

Super excited for the arrival in PT. Feel like it's a very solid base to bring up with quality depth on every terrain - interested what the plans are to build on it and fill the sweet sweet new cap space

Be-noot surprised you've finally come home. You've Daan a great job last season with an amazing team, the Ha-y-ters can only watch and suffer. Guess they Ca-n-tafford a great time like yours. People be asking you "what's Yamatto" and you'll be like "hakuna matata and chill in PT", or at least that what's they have been Sayai'ng me. Fran-kly I think you have a nice pre-transfers roster, they will be Singh-ing song about this for decades to come. You know, in bars from India to Belgium on those open-Mic(k) nights. E-nd-sow the legend of Sony will live on forever, through amazing songs and hymns. Hopefully without the unnecessary Dijk-pics the kids nowadays are so fond of sending. They think sending unwanted pics of their little John is fashionable and Chique-y, but I think it's rather lame(reize). Cheers

@jandal: When I look at my team sheet, it doesn't look that strong to me for PT Thanks for the encouragement. Will need to see myself what exactly I can do in PT!
@Nemolito: Much like your jersey, it requires a certain eclectic taste to appreciate your literary skills Thanks for the welcome to PT though!

Time to see if you picked the right development pathways for the Van Dijke brothers . Somewhat surprised to see Force India departing with the Indian talents still undergoing development but still excited to see what the future holds for the squad.

Time to see indeed
The understanding with Force India was that they'd help popularize cycling in the country by helping Indian cyclists make the jump to a professional contract. Hopefully that continues this season as well. The cycling factory seems to have dried up in the country and so have their interest!

We thought it was time to look back at our team history a little, before we look ahead to the 2025 season. In this post, we've tried to gather some stats on how the riders that have worn our colours have done for us in our eight years of existence.

| Name | Total Points | Tiesj Benoot | 2150 | Wilco Kelderman | 1619 | Ki Ho Choi | 1341 | Lahcen Saber | 1172 | Pierre Paolo Penasa | 845 | Daan Olivier | 780 | Daniel Vesely | 662 | Sergio Luis Henao Montoya | 617 | Tom Van Asbroeck | 603 | Nico Keinath | 472 |
We have a new leader! Benoot jumps to the top of the Points leaderboard for us after an outstanding season. Olivier is the new entrant into the Top 10.
| Name | Total RDs | Gijs Leemreize | 284 | Marten Kooistra | 254 | Joonas Henttala | 222 | Jasper Bovenhuis | 219 | Mick Van Dijke | 213 | Ronan Van Zandbeek | 199 | Tom Dumoulin | 199 | Ide Schelling | 183 | Romain Bardet | 180 | Esow Alben | 178 |
Another table, another new leader! Leemreize now has ridden the most RDs for us, with Kooistra up to 2nd. A pleasing fact is that we now have seven Dutch riders in the Top 10, along with Alben, our first Indian rider to make it there.

Kooistra is now the rider who has stayed with us for the longest time, having sent one of those years out on loan. Leemreize is the longest continuously present rider for us!

Howson and Olivier are the new additions here in the Top 10 but the top guys are still some way off.

Benoot jumps to the top of the Classics table with his two wins this season. Olivier climbs into the Top 5.
| Name | Wins | Jerseys | Podiums | Wilco Kelderman | 6 | 2 | 17 | Tiesj Benoot | 4 | 0 | 13 | Tom Van Asbroeck | 3 | 0 | 7 | Sergio Luis Henao Montoya | 3 | 0 | 4 | Ki Ho Choi | 2 | 1 | 9 | Daan Olivier | 2 | 0 | 8 | Igor Boev | 2 | 0 | 7 | Alexander Krieger | 2 | 2 | 6 | Damien Howson | 2 | 0 | 5 | Tom Dumoulin | 2 | 1 | 4 |
Kelderman still leads the overall achievements with Benoot inching closer. Olivier and Howson climb into the Top 10.
| Name | Podiums | RDs | RDs/Podiums | Nico Keinath | 12 | 48 | 4.00 | Daan Olivier | 8 | 36 | 4.50 | Wilco Kelderman | 17 | 114 | 6.71 | Daniel Vesely | 6 | 44 | 7.33 | Igor Boev | 7 | 57 | 8.14 | Ki Ho Choi | 9 | 78 | 8.67 | Tiesj Benoot | 13 | 116 | 8.92 | Sergio Luis Henao Montoya | 4 | 42 | 10.50 | Damien Howson | 5 | 54 | 10.80 | Geert Van der Sanden | 5 | 56 | 11.20 |
We thought Keinath's record will probably never be broken, and while it stands at the top of this table, Olivier came very close to knocking the former off his perch! Howson joins Benoot in the Top 10 among current riders.

There is no doubt anymore as to what our favourite race on the calendar is! Too bad we're not eligible to ride it again this season. Benoot becomes the first ever two times winner of the Rider of the Year award. Leemreize makes it three in a row for our own rider winning Young Rider of the Year, after the first five awards in that category all went to loan-ins.

I can't make any sense from the numbers, but it looks good
