Welcome to our new Team HQ. This will be the place were you find all the Informations about the Team called: DeNA RoadStars !
We are the successor of the Team Würth MODYF and will show our colors starting from Season 2025 on. With its new structure we are also changing our location, the Team will be settled in Japan.
With the new there also comes a new structure of the team. DeNA isnt just a team sponsor they bought half of the shares. They will be present on the shirt but the main spots on the shirt we can still sell, so we will have as our Premium Shirt Sponsor "Makita" this year.
With our complete new Team management there also come some "rules" with:
- Rider nations doesnt matter but having a japanese is appreciated
- we are only allowed to sign & acquire riders of the Age of 25 or below
- renewing contracts of older riders is allowed as long they are acquired under the rules above
- in future years we can also (re)sign older riders if they spend at least one season with us during their development (before turning 26)
Why all of that? We dont wanna buy stars, we wanna develop them ourselves.
| Title Sponsor: | DeNA |  | | Premium Partner: | Makita |  | | Bikes: | Birdgestone Anchor |  | | Equipment: | Shimano |  | | Clothing: | Descente |  |

Congrats on the new sponsor. You have set yourself a challenge building a PCT team with only 1 signing over 25. Are the two Rubens allowed to continue with the team since I don't think they were developed U25?

Thanks!
Yes, this will be a challenge and this will most likely not lead to success for now, but I am prepared for this and wanna take the challenge.
Well, none of my current roster who is above 25 will be riding for this team next year, I can say that. So this will probably be a busy and interesting transfer phase.

Wow that's an aggressive take on the market. It'll definitely be interesting to see how you tackle the transfer season. Love the jersey, too. Some retro vibes there!

LET’S GO!
You’ve grinded in the shadows, built the squad brick by brick, and now you're bringing that fire to the next level. Every wildcard, every breakaway, every uphill finish—you’ve earned this moment.
PCT isn't just a challenge, it’s your playground now. Show them how DeNA rides: bold tactics, fearless spirit, and a chip on the shoulder the size of Ventoux. You’ve got the heart, the legs, and the vibes.
The doubters? Let ’em talk.
The rivals? Let ’em chase.
DeNA’s here. And you're not just showing up—you’re taking over.
Vamos familia.

Bold start and a bold jersey too. It's a pretty hefty goal to sign only under 25 given the nature of the MG DB, but will definitely be fun to a follow. I guess the one rider exception also makes things interesting for transfers, knowing you can sink everything into one big fish, and that he's the only person you'll be able to train. Good luck!

As the others said, pretty aggressive strategy there! But yeah, if you only get youngsters you can also fit one of the top FAs in the team and still have a shot at staying up - which might be a rather hard task otherwise.
Best of luck anyway!
PS: Is it Roadstars or Roadstarts? Your sig and the thread name suggest Roadstars, but the banners you put in each post say Roadstarts, so which one is correct?

@Gustavovskiy:
Well, i dunno if its aggressive but it might make it harder for some talents to be signed with just 50k then
And nice you noticed! I wanted it too look a bit old school, got insipred by the special retro shirt from UnoX they used.
@Nemolito
Welll... Thanks? I feel like you used a Ghostwriter though
@baseballlover312
Will be a long proicess and a hard year for sure... but it seems like a fun project. And hopefully this will lead
@Fabianski
As i wrote to the others too, this will be a fun and for me motivating project as i dont except immediate success.
And to your PS... what do you mean? Nah i just messes up the banners, corrected it.

- renewing contracts of older riders is allowed as long they are acquired under the rules above
This comes as the biggest surprise to me. Expected you to use the existant riders to generate some income in the first season. Anyway, good luck with this. Curious to see how competitive you can be with this setup
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

haha, you are right and this might be a bit misleading. But lets say it like this. The renewals this year was still done as Team Würth MODYF

Excited to see how this project is going to do this next year in the PCT as it looks like most of your scoring riders have to leave, bar Vanhoucke. Also think quite a few teams are going to swear you to kingdom come come FAs as you are going to be able to go unrealistically deep on talents

That's an exciting project! We'll probably talk in transfers if you're really willing to get rid of your older riders - and maybe there's an interesting talent available for you in exchange

- for the first season there is the exception of 1 rider to be hired older than that as road captain and mentor for our youngsters
I wonder who will get honour of being this rider

Our Renewals this year. Some Demands were expected, some were higher than the performance they delivered (IMO) but overall it was good. Almost all we wanted we could agree on a new deal.
The only exception therefor is Willi Willwohl we couldnt agree on a new deal we could justify, so we released him. And as he wanted to show us that we made a failure he just won the German NC afterwards
With Predatsch he is the second one who spent all 3 years with the team, so we wish them all the best!

Lets get straight to this.
Available and wanting to sell

Who is not listed here, WILL NOT be sold. In a rare occasion it is MAYBE possible to loan them out but besides this don't waste your time make an offer.
---------------------------------------
And now to the 3rd News. The probably biggest ones. In the last weeks we had some tme to talk with all the parties involved in managing and investing in the team and we decided to make some changes to our Concept for this 1st season only. To make us at least competitive in some way and have a chance to fight for staying in PCT the following we agreed on:
- Up to 5 Riders over 25 are allowed, but:
- ONLY 1 Rider from outside of Asia
- ONLY 2 Riders from Asia (not Japan)
- REST can be from japan without age restriction
This doesnt change our overall Concept but will allow us to hire some riders being capable of scoring and leading our younger ones.
No changes to the talents, we can hire every Rider below (and including) 25 years from every nation.
