Jakobsen here for the sprints in yet another challenging field so can't be too hopeful of good results.

Cosnefroy, Thomas and Conci all here to try get something in the TT/Prologue. The long TT should suit Cosnefroy but given the field my hopes of a Top 10 are looking like a stretch. Hopefully some solid depth points with these 3 and Castrillo also here.

Thank you for the preview and no stress at all on delays! Hope everything is alright Smile

Solid start for Durbo, obviously not the key stage though.

Thanks for getting it started Smile

Great start by Larsen. Also a solid prologue by Würtz, now all eyes on getting easily through to the TT.

Thanks for the report!

That was surely worth the wait! Smile

Brilliant day for Filippo to set himself apart from a very close field by this much, althoug it ultimately won't matter for the GC.
Yellow for hopefully two stages (sorry SotD) and a shot at the points classification looking at how many top spots were taken by prologue specialists here could add vital points regardless of how well exactly the long TT goes.

Thank you for the report, don't worry about any delays!

Thought for a moment that Vlatos would get away with a top 5 or so, when he took the lead early on - but it seems like the conditions might have been slightly better towards the end. Coquard should be a bit worse on paper, but took a solid position.

Great to see him steal bonifications on the way, aswell as finally picking up a decent GC race stage result. This is his best individual result this season, which tells a story - so it was great to add some extra points from the leaders jersey aswell as points jersey. Ganna will get his shine tomorrow Smile

Nice also to see Stavrakakis steal a couple of cheap U25 points. Fingers crossed he has a great 3rd stage. I suspect it won't be enough for a top 5 U25, as he's a better PRL than TT rider.

A bunch of capable TT riders lost valuable time here, which is never good to see, and the top sprinters (besides Coquard for once) didn't perform in the sprint so there's still that going on unfortunately.

It was a solid start in the prologue as illustrated by the fact we're leading the team classification. But losing two 78 TTers in stage 2 is a bit of blow to our total scoring. Rajovic 7th in the sprint is good enough.

Van Poppel definitely loves this race.

Coquard and Ewan pulling very different sized sticks today. A bit weird to see that split too, but we might benefit a bit from it if Goldstein has a good day tomorrow.

Just hilarious for Kamna to be gapped again on a flat stage. I honestly don't know what could possibly be causing this. At least he had company this time, but it's just stupid.

Guess the same thing that caused my squad to be ignored in Ukraine - he's below 80TT in a strong TTers field. Same for ZARA, whose race got completely destroyed as well with all of Thomas, Consnefroy and Conci dropped. Not strong enough for top-level GC contention -> (potentially) ignored.

On a positive note, pretty good sprint outcome here, especially happy for Coquard Smile Less so for Ewan of course, but maybe he'll just win Lithuania again instead Wink

Thanks for the reports so far, and (late) congrats to cio on Ganna's prologue win - that guy has become a real beast with the new version!

I guess my problem with that explanation is two fold:

1) It's happened even when he was in the top 5 overall of the race (Portugal). The game should realize at that point that he needs positioning. Plus, he's a leader. All my other riders sans Sulvaran managed to make the split. The game can accomodate their positioning fine apparently.
2) More importantly, it relies on the false premise that 25 riders of some kind should randomly fall off the back of the peloton mid stage on pure flat roads. There's no reason for that absent crosswinds. So it shouldn't matter if Kamna isn't in the top 50 of the peloton when the stage isn't selective at all.

With Foss dropped already this race is basically wasted for us. Hard to get anything out of it now

A good attempt by Kanter, who clearly was left in an unfavorable position approaching the flamme rouge and decided to take matters into his own hands early. It nearly worked out perfectly, but I'll also take 4th considering the circumstances.

Coquard taking yellow is deserved and hopefully won't change anything regarding the long TT coming up, where I hope Ganna can make the Top 5 in a deep field (minus the randomly dropped guys, commiserations to the affected teams!).

Much appreciated! It's indeed been a pleasure to watch him perform much closer to (and you could say above) his stats, wage and hype this year. Smile

One of them would have hurt but all 3...

Strong start from Leung in the prologue. Unfortunately starting from stage 2 things go wrong again with him directly losing time. Thanks for the first two reports!

I am with Fab on the explanation. I am not sure #2 is correct in the report Sean notes: "Heading over the only major uphill section with 20km to go, there is a split in the field with 26 riders left behind.". It was a climb with the peloton going hard late in the race, I don't think some riders who aren't viewed as contenders getting dropped in that circumstance is crazy.

Now agree with your #1 that it is weird that Kamna is not considered a GC guy and certainly don't think the AI is perfect on this. I think for weaker teams in a race you only get one protected rider, a GC guy, or a stage guy and maybe the AI thought you had a stage guy (admit I didn't look at your roster). Or for the very weakest teams in terms of having a GC contender nobody gets protected and they all ride at the back, this is what gets Zara. So if Kamna is your best guy but he is only the 25th best GC guy in the race then maybe he gets no protection and it is just random that he got dropped versus your other riders. Also, the AI cares less about depth GC than mangame players do.

Happy to see Prasad give the sprint a go. Hoping he can continue doing so!

Ganna with a mighty prologue win, very curious to see how the TT plays out, and if he can fight Würtz and Wirtgen for the top spots.

Pretty decent stuff all around. Would have loved Vlatos a couple of spots higher in the GC, but the points here are pretty solid.

Not a good luck on us if even with the others misfortune in stage 2, we were not able to pick some decent GC spots.

Van Poppel with a pretty bad sprint in the last stage too, but Remco finally showing himself to win something on the big stage is really nice.

Gried with a much needed victory given their results in the cobbles classics. Gives them a breath of fresh air.

Thanks for the reports!
