That sounds weird. What exactly is the problem? What happens when you try to send the PM?

I think the 'write new message' option from the Private messages screen just freezes any browser for them, happens here as well at the moment.

The site just kind of crashes / doesn't load (when I choose Private Messages and then try to select ManGame Admin). However, Bjartne helped me out: you can send a PM be finding the profile first and then select PM. |

Same happened to me when I just went to the "send PM-option" from the inbox, so had to manually find the profile.
Seems like the site uploads all 156,000 members at once, for you to select which one you would like to send to, so for the most browsers/computers that will be a problem |

I didn't even know there was such an option. I always used the link from the profile.
Good that you managed to get it sorted out

Yeah indeed the Search function is absolutely preferable, if you need to send a PM, rather than trying to find it through the endless dropdown menu.
In terms of the rules, I think atleast half the current managers fell into the trap atleast once, of not reading the rules carefully enough. Obviously the chance of failing is biggest for newcomers as the rest of us kinda know what to expect, but still we have seen managers with 1-2 and even 3 years missing something hidden.
I think it will be preferably to re-design the Rulesection, and the entryform. It's somewhat fun to giggle in the corner and reading "Read the rules" comments, but it's frustrating as hell, and we definately lose managers because of it. And they still make mistakes even when they get through - just like every one of us did back in the days.

As a new manager this year, I think I've read the full rules about 30 times and am still finding new tidbits every time as I grow to understand them better. I'm actually glad it kept getting posting because I keep learning that way. |

Please make sure you have read and understand these rules. You will not be allowed to participate in the transfers otherwise.
This is probably supposed to imply it but might only be obvious for those who know of it already. If we spell it out more, people might not get annoyed at it so much and i don't really see much of a negative side to it:
"There is a test hidden in the rules to see whether you have read all the rules and you can only participate in transfers once you've passed it."

To play devils advocate, but does this then encourage managers to conitnue to skim and not read/pay attention/digest the rules and instead hunt specifically for the markers they need to enter transfers.
I know many existing managers do this, but in their defence i havn't seen an existing manager fall afoul of the rules in a while. However new managers quite often do make mistakes, and to play devils advocate both ways, this is usually just from over-enthusiasm and getting to grips with the different systems.
In which case, what even is the point of the test? Existing managers skip to find the key bits for entry. New managers get frustrated at this weird system, only to then make mistakes anyway. Which feels like it's a redundant element serving no real function, when mistakes are already cleared up by the Admin account (see Saeco overbids) and punishments and rule breakings are incredibly rare as it is.
Keep the note the read all the rules, trust everyone, and let managers face consequences if they don't.

With Staggiare bidding open now, is it not possible anymore to open Free Agent threads?

Free Agents can still be signed and bidded for, you can even make a stagiaire to a standard Free Agent by bidding at least 50,000.

You can still open Free Agent threads, until the closure of the transfers window.
Also, as stated in the rules, a stagiaire becomes a free agent when the wage goes to 50k

Well then it's strange, because I have tried 2 times to open a thread and they simply don't get listed while others open stagiare threads every couple minute.

Guys, he means opening a thread normally on the forum.
To which the answer appears to be no, you have to use the workaround

You have to use this workaround:
https://pcmdaily....d_id=57647
There is currently a technical problem so threads cant be created the normal way.

It probably shows, but at the very end of the subforum given the date of the initial post. You have to reply with the content you want, and then you should see it as the most recent post.
