Another really random ITT, Akinyemi (MO 75) beat riders like Barguil and Betancur. He got to wear the white jersey for two days (before dropping to 10th in the U25 ranking)!

Complaining does seem to help, after pointing out in my last team update that none of our riders ever joined breakaways and fought for the KOM ranking it suddenly happened: James Lowsley-Williams slipped into the polkadot jersey, his career highlight! Lots of KOM points on stage 4, he might only wear it for a day.

Sagan currently 5th in Germany, that's going well, too.

Julian doing really well lately, you love to see it!

Yates doing ok in Deutschland but we're hoping for better in the last two stages. Guradini involved as well which is nice to see. Great TT from Contador in Fuji but he couldn't keep up on Stage 3, which is a shame.

seems that Mount Fuji brings good inspiration to my riders...
about Fenn, it was the worst way to throw money

Only positive so far in the triple is Provoost leading the U25 at Deutschland. Ulissi seems to have a gift for never quite making the critical selection. So lots of 10th to 20th places for him. Hopefully at some point we will get a win by a rider not called Kittel.

Trio of WT stage races has concluded.

Triple header? More like triple failure..
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

We didn't do anything in Guatemala, which was expected.

Was hoping for better from Yates in Deutschland. 10th isn't that great a result.

Not sure what to say about Fiji! Contador suddenly losing 9 minutes on Stage 4 but Domagalski getting a great 7th place there. But then the whole team lost more than 5 minutes on the last stage and spoiled our race completely.

Very bad week of racing for us. Looks like Contador does not have any luck in his final season at all. Just two races to go for him.

Triple Header went well for Renault.

Deutschland Tour
Breakaway specialist Stephan Rabitsch managed 2nd in KOM.

Vuelta a Guatemala

Bardet delivered a great GC win and managed a stage win, KOM win and Points 2nd.

Tour of Mount Fuji
Samuel Crochet won U25 and came 9th in GC backed up by Castillo in 13th and Viennet 23rd who all contributed to 2nd in Teams.

Thanks for the reports dominox and congrats to the winners.

Team BP is also very happy with all three races.

Majka just like last season: Wins stage 5 of Guatemala and finishes 2nd overall. Plus the first time we ever won the teams ranking in the WT - very good focus race.

Sagan 3rd in Germany against tough competition, very consistent on the hilly stages. Howard also with a really good race, some good sprints and 15th overall, very impressive.

Fuji is Lowsley-Williams' career highlight. Shame he lost polkadots, but three productive breakaways. Akinyemi's 2 days in white were also nice.

Ouch, that TT in Guatemala hurt us badly... Especially Gomez finishing barely in the Top100 was a real bummer, no clue what happened to him that day.

But, wow, what did Mendes have for breakfast on Stage 5?!? Taking 4th in such a tough mountain stage, as a 76Mo climber, probably happens once in a lifetime... We'll obviously take it, as well as a fantastic 8th place in the GC and 2nd in the KoM - both are worth 75 points each, if I've got the right point scales... Definitely a good WT race for us (despite Gomez' failure), we should do more of those Pfft

Confirmed, Mount Fuji was super good: Engeldinger 3rd GC, Fernandez 2nd in points and crazy win in Team Ranking, never expected in a mountainous stage race!

Germany: Fenn's Disaster

Guatemala: Talansky's Disaster (ok he is not a top rider, but dropping from 13th to over 30th place is just too bad)

Oof I am in the triple failure camp. Ulissi wins a hard fought competition for most useless.

I guess the positive is the only decent results come from the young guys with Celades getting a stage top 10 in Fuji, Provoost winning Duetchland U25 and Pogacar finishing 2nd, albeit a distant 2nd, in Guatemala u25.

Not looking forward to the points update.

Sagan and Flakemore not great in the GP Luxembourg, only 10 WC points for Sagan. Another CT.2 race for my dev team without a breakaway appearance or any points.

Given the randomness of short TT's and the fact that Mullen has slightly weaker prologue, I'm pretty happy with 6th in Luxembourg. Our guys tend to show up in WT.

Phinney 20th is the answer I was waiting for the decision to completely reinventing his training plan for the next season.
wasted every single race day spent on TT, moreover Luxembourg was a focus race. Disaster.
His WCup run is a real disappointment.

+1... Sigh, watching the juniors is really painful sometimes. Those mandatory Non-U23 races mostly aren't great for their morale ^^

Well... Apparently we just can't get the "big win". Chamorro was good on stage 2, disappointing on stage 3 (not even speaking about the rest of the team), and 4th in GC just isn't good enough. OK, Landa beating him makes sense (although I'd like it to be the other way round every now and then), but losing to Peiffer and especially Chapman just isn't what we'd need.
The good thing is that there are still 2 stages to go, so there's still some hope. Mendes and Gomez - both clearly weaker climbers - have already gotten some really nice GC results for their skillset, now it's up to Juan to finally live up to his stats.
