The funny thing is that he does pretty great with the punch. But I think Marc Soler is an even clearer rider type like him. Both probably play too much PCM like Gaudu in the TDF

smart move by Remco to get a puncture inside 3km, got just 8" arriving more than 3' later

I don't have a big screen, but I really could not see a flat tire there.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Indeed it seemed like the dodgiest usage of the 3km rule.
Hope Roglic can bounce back to make the racing exciting in the next few days.

And Roglic out of the race....what bad luck for him here or this season in total.
Will be an interesting fight now for the podium. |

About Evenepoel: I saw a spectator clip on Twitter and it definitely looked like a flat rear tire there.
Sad for Roglic and for the race.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Legendary lead-out by Mas.
I think he apologized, but I'm still salty about that. At least if he had gotten the win, but all he did was put it on a silver platter for Remco.

Really fantastic job by Mas to drag Evenpoel back up to Gesink so he can get the stage win.

I don’t like Jumbo and Roglic’s comments accusing Wright of causing the crash. I understand it’s frustrating to end your race like that, a race you were confident to win, and that you have dominated for years straight, but there are no clear images showing Wright deviated his sprint or had a malicious intent… no need to share a press release like that. Racing incident for me… |

I agree, I don't understand what they are trying to fight here. I don't think Wright did anything particularly wrong. Roglic should have been more careful.

true, I don't get the point where Wright presumably did something wrong. Anyway Roglic is not used to say something so directly, so maybe there's something we can't see...don't know what to think about

in other fields, very pleased to see Mads so strong, he is proving to be a deserved WC, something to fear about for the next edition

So, Remco is really going to win this thing. Congrat to him for delivering! I have to admit I wasn't expecting him to hold his ground in this last week. Having Roglic out of the picture may have been relevant, but he never did really show weakness in these last mountain stages.
I guess these are good news. After 2021 and even before the Tour we were all expecting a long undisputed reign for Pogi, but the season has brought up a whole new scene for Grand Tours. Curious to see what Quick Step will do next year.

Liege and Vuelta is an amazing feat, well done Remco. The next years will be great to watch with Remco, Pogacary Vingegaard and perhaps eventually Ayuso in the mix.
