Great team performance by Jumbo. Also lol @ Philipsen for celebrating 2nd place.

Enjoyable attack from Van Aert. Awesome to see the yellow jersey being aggressive rather than passive. Smile

If Crashobank energy stays away this year, we might be seeing a super dominated Tour based on what I've seen today

He said his radio was broken but generaly didn't believe someone would get away on that small hill.

Also: WVA in the 6 last TDF stages:

Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Can't say I've ever seen a guy post up thinking he won when the actual winner is still in view directly in front of him
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy

the way WVA broke away was insane, never saw such a gap of just 1 rider against the whole peloton on a medium-slope climb shorter than 1 km

Champ_Armstrong
WVA: surprise you?
Pogi: LAUGHING emoji
Pain is temporary. Quitting lasts forever.

Frrom what Ive read the caused a hold-up in that tight corner leading into the climb so almost everybody went through there in a standstill after Jumbo and Ineos. That shows how key positioning and teamwork is in such a stage. Also incredible strength by Wout of course.

It was incredile to watch. Great work by both van Hooydonck and Benoot

I just wonder how Philipsen could not see the yellow jersey just 8 seconds ahead of him. I mean.. its freaking yellow!

Weird tactics by EF today...

Cort yet again in the break doesn`t really make sense on a day without any KoM points. Guess, he now is interested in some kind of breakaway kilometer record or something.
Powless as well is weird as his 4th in the Tour de Suisse showed that he is capable to go for a mediocre GC maybe instead of a break on a flat cobbled day.

In especially as it`s questionable how strong Uran is yet and Guerreiro as co-leader seems to be injured and can`t see him finishing the race.

Came back from the death just to laugh on Philipsen Pfft

Also Wout is a monster, congrats.

Looking forward to the battle today, i hope Pogi will show his strenght on the cobbles.

Anyway enjoy the Tour guys...nice to still see some familiar faces here. Smile

I’m not sure if Powless is using that “jump into the break of the day and try to stay as much ahead as possible” tactic to avoid the chaos on the cobbles. He kinda needs to rely on his luck, though, this isn’t a full PR course, nor is Powless a guy like Silvan Dillier, Matthew Hayman or Tom Devriendt. Pfft

Never seen a rider like Pogacar - Without a doubt the best ever for me Smile

FreitasPCM
Pogacar is incredible. One of the best bike handlers I’ve seen, but good that he only gained 13 seconds, race not fully decided. Interesting to see what Jumbo do in the mountains.

Jack Haig DNF’d apparently.
