Not the greatest result in all truth but we stay competitive and I'd really hope we can take at least 6th overall after the TT result. Thankfully Oliveira is in a good position to take the white jersey and some depth points on top.
Pluchkin should win overall but Bobridge has had a good race, Keizer should be too far behind I'd say but never say never...

That was not great. Finally a chance to see Amezawa lead, but then he was relegated to be a poor domestique missing a split. Had hoped for more, definitely. Also a poor stage from Laengen loosing a lot of time, making it difficult to bring home a decent GC result.
Than you for the report! The battle for the top 5 should be exciting in the TT. |

Uran in the same group as Zmorka
He has to get into the top ten by the end of the race hopefully.
Do not underestimate a rider in his home country
While I am very happy with Zmorka´s performance, Spilak had no excuses whatsoever to miss that split. If he would have been positioned ´normally´ this would have been a great race. Now we have to wait until tomorrow to see where we end up after the time trial. I hope to be pleasantly surprised, but I have no idea of the time trial capacities of the riders around Spilak and Zmorka. Thanks for the great report!

Another meh stage, but maybe we can sneak in some U25 points in the end.

He did it!
Was always going to be difficult beating Pluchkin on this course, so will be happy if we can walk away with 2nd on GC and a stage win.

Great ride by Sterobo! Bernal just barely got the better of him, but still, very happy with that. Didn't know what to expect, but the profile ended up playing to his strengths with the few rolling, steady hills. In the current game engine, those always favor mountain over hill in TT's, or so it seems. Probably a heartrate thing. So Sterobo's mountain puts him above most pure TT guys, and his TT better than most stage racers. It worked out perfectly with that dynamic today.
Would like a little better from Roe to grab a couple of minor GC points, but that's really just an afterthought. We didn't come here with a strong lineup, and we managed to snag a few points and a stage podium. All good with me.
Thanks for the reports Ulrich and congrats to fjhoekie!

Weird results in that final ITT. But at least we got an ok stage result and climbed one position to 6th GC for a solid overall race

Penko must have had a terrible day to not even finish U25 top 8
On the other hand Christodoulos looks to have had a good day. 33rd in GC and 3rd in U25 gives us more points than I expected. A largely unimportant race for us scoring wise, but to come away with some points anyhow feels good
Congrats to the winners and thanks for the reports Ulrich

Great TT by Laengen! Just a pity he ruined his GC with the poor hilly stage. A normal day there, and this would have been a great race for us.
Surprising stage results indeed on that TT. Pluchkin winning overall in such a race, feels kind of normal though Congratulations! |

Yeah no there is something deeply wrong with the TT mechanic if Bobridge can only manage 52nd on a TT course that on paper suits him perfectly.
Good at hills? Check.
Good at tt? Check.
Good at hilly TT? No.

We really need to take a look at how we can improve TT results if possible. All season it has been even more random than ever, or like in this case heavily favoring MO riders for no apparent reason.

Sadly, it's exactly the opposite, it works just as expected.
Since the stat rework, any effort below 85 is exclusively influenced by the mountain stat, with the hill stat playing a linearly increasing role between 85 and 99.
Your mistake might be thinking that this only applies to mass start stages, but it's the same in TTs.
And since practically not a single TT in the game allows a rider to go above 85 effort, the hill stat is effectively never used in TTs.
So yes, Sterobo is a better hilly TTer than Bobridge in this game.
(regardless of all this, that was still a horribly random result overall)

Great ride by Henttala, and another solid one by Zoidl gives us some unexpected points.
Thanks for the great reports and congrats to fj

Zmorka finishing 12nd here last year in the TT (iirc), this year around 50th. Guess the climbing was even more important this year. 18th in GC for him and 8th for Spilak is okay, but it's sad that we lack any kind of stage result.
Thank you very much for the great reports as always, Ulrich! Congratulations to fjhoekie.

Thanks for the reports Ulrich, congratulations to Pluchkin4Ever!
Uran manages to sneak it into the top ten with a very good final stage. Could have finished seventh had he been a bit better on the previous stage, but we've had much worse this season.

Well, that was pointless excursion - 3 RD wasted for nothing
Though, I won't be leaving empty handed - I've got 15 points from Jacobsen, Barta and Thill finishing in the Top 50 + 2 more from Barta in the U25.
Congrats to fjhoekie for yet another masterclass ride from PluBear and to Double U for the reports.

Disappointing race in all truths, Fraile should be doing better than that IMO.
Oliveira getting beat by Bernal by a lot in the final TT, which he won!?!?! Is the added cherry on top really. We'll still get some points but we wanted more honestly and Fraile needs to better in his other races.
Still, its a result better than what we've enjoyed in previous years so maybe I shouldn't complain too much.

Rosskopf disappoints in his second race for us as well, on a course that should have suited him very well. 3 riders between 26 and 50 (good on Hadi for sneaking in there) give us at least some depth scoring, but I had higher expectations. Oh well, onto the next one.
