I'll take the second GK position if it's possible. And the 11 jersey as well since Ubaldo Fillol wore number 5 at World Cup '78.
Elias Santana dreamed of becoming a cyclist. But with such scarce opportunities to chase his dream in Bolivia he instead turned to football. At a local pre-selection for a junior team everyone was fighting for the striker and midfielder position and there was no one to sit between the posts. So, Elias Santana ended up in the goal and it proved lately that was for the best because he turned out to be quite gifted for that position.

Paolo Perfetto (CB): Let's see. He is a world class tackler for sure, but lacking just about everything else. Can't dribble, can't shoot to save his life. He understands the game and has the vision, but his poor passing lets him down a lot.
His mental attributes should be pretty good, his physical stats rather poor except for strength, he isn't fast, his natural fitness and stamina are fairly worrying, too.

Robert Macduff is a tough defender at 2m03 and 89 kgs.Unfortunately that really hampers his speed though, which he tried to correct by good positional play and the occasional "professional foul".
He doesn't take any risks and prefers to kick the ball away over sophisticated passing. He can kick a ball pretty hard though and often claims the penalties and free kicks. Obviously his height also helps the team with corners or as a last minute secret weapon.
Unfortunately his attitude off the pitch isn't that great. At age 19 he got sacked at Glasgow Rangers because he was found drunk on a bench on George Square the morning before a game. His status as a professional footballer also makes him a bit of a womanizer, and he doesn't do himself any favours of changing that perception with his shirt number and his repeated tweeting of "size matters!".
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Seppe Martens, 173cm, 67kg, quick, agile, an Eden Hazard meets Arjen Robben type of player that can either play well in the center of the attacking midfield, right behind the main goal scorer, or on the right wing, where he usually surprises his opponents with a quick flex to the inside of the attack.
He’s a hard working lad, compromised to becoming the next Belgian sensation. Martens is very competitive and some might misinterpret his ambition for arrogance, however he’s got the mentality to be a champion. His main weakness is defending, Martens struggles supporting the right backs on field, but is aiming to improve that gap with extra dedication on field.
He follows a vegetarian diet but is considering a shift to veganism. |

Unexpected but very nice to see 18 players already. If anyone then foesn´t follow the game at all I could easily bench them (until they decide to come back, possibly).
At the moment we already have a keeper though (Trek), with bbl or DarkWolf being second choice. So Sammy and TMM will have to pick another position.
In other news, I´ll work on stats soon. If you don´t post any more information on your player he will receive basic random stats. If you can give some more information in a couple of sentences about his playstyle, height, weight, etc., it is very much possible that your player will be suited a bit more to a particular style and receive some extra points for that. Be as creative as you want. Good to know is that you´ll be able to improve throughout the season and you definitely won´t be stuck to one particular playstyle.
Thanks for the suggested names and kits, will have a look at them soon.
I can't be a defensive mid/ centre back? I was thinking midfield destroyer who can step back into the defence when needed type of player, Fernandinho/ Kante/ Busquets/ Javi Martinez.
If not then maybe a wide defender who could step into a 3CB system, e.g. Aaron Wan Bissaka or Kyle Walker type of player.

Hmmm. I suppose making my guy as small as myself and a back isn't really an option. or is it?...

Luis Torres is the quintessential poacher. Good with his head, good with his finishing but lacks the top speed of the wingers. Has a good acceleration from a standing start so he can keep defenders chasing him at bay over short bursts. He relies a lot on his first touch to either move the ball away from covering defenders or to finish it exactly in the right spot. Not really a power striker of the ball, he prefers to be more of a finisseur to get his goals. Not the greatest crosser in the world, but he does have a good eye for finding teammates making runs beyond him from midfield. Hold up play is decent but can improve and so can his physicality.

Arthur Callahan is relentless - although he is creative and occasionally visits flashy like you want an attacker to be he also thrives on chasing down balls, pressing defenders and the physical side of the game. His tackling and interception skills are notably good for a winger/attacking midfielder. He is a good all-around attacker, combining his pace, passing/crossing ability and vision to get involved fashioning goals for others or his awareness and solid finishing, even from range, to pose a scoring threat himself. Great speed and top notch stamina, good strength physically but lacks a bit in shot power - he can score from range but they’re more due to placement and curve than thundering it in too fast for the keeper to handle. Other weaknesses are his aggression - not an aggressive person or necessarily a dirty player but ultra competitive on the pitch, relishing the physical battle and will always play on the edge physically to gain an advantage - and a distinct lack of aerial presence or usefulness in taking set pieces. Right footed, good with his left but definitely still favours his stronger foot. Not a flair player per se and rarely has fancy tricks or dribbling to leave defenders on the floor, but he does have a deft touch and vision meaning he can still be a creative force aside from just pinging crosses.

Deez Nuts is your stereotypical centre back. Standing tall at 165cm and weighing 112kg, he is everything a manager could want out of his last line of defence. Ferocious tackler, legitimately banned from all Sunday and Children Leagues all around the Europe, his blistering speed often simply confuses the attackers. Or it could just be his bright red eyes. Deez Nuts is a spawn of Satan.

Landon Washington has world-class speed and that's about it. The 5'10" speedster would have more success on a track than a soccer pitch, but all the coaches rave about these days is pace. The rest can be "developed" or so they say.

Sme interesting backstories/players already People who haven't explained their player a bit more in detail or still want to join still have time if they would like to do so, as for now I'm mainly focusing on ManGame transfers and soon a little vacation as well. In about a week and a half/two weeks I'll be preparing everyone's stats.

Our shirt wil be either the Venezia kit or the Seatle Sounder's kit. Cast your votes here: https://www.poll-...70488f-123
Meanwhile I am busy with statting everyone, and there are only like 3/4 players left to do. Doesn't take that long per player actually, but it's nice to have a little description to base the first stats on
Still no idea on the team name, but there will be a poll for that as well soon!

Voted for Venezia, but not really fussed over the jersey. Looking forward to seeing the stats though

Bob Bobson is very small for a right back at 173 cm and 65 kg. He therefore has to make up for his lack of physical prowess in other ways. His top speed is good though unremarkable, but his agility and acceleration are world class. This makes it difficult for attackers to get the jump on him. He also has a quite high vertical jump, and good balance. Besides that, he excels at most of the fundamentals, with terrific field awareness, quick reaction times, and adept passing.
Other than his size, his biggest flaw is definitely his dribbling. His is not great at controlling the ball in general, and his amazing off ball agility is severely diminished when he has possession. There have also been some concerns about his stamina late in matches, but trainers say this has been improving quite well with his new conditioning regimen.

Name: Joseph "Sepp" Huber
Nationality:
Position: CAM
Number: #10
Height: 192cm
Weight: 85kg
Sepp always was among the tallest boys even as a junior. He loved football ever since he knew it exists, and so of course he joined the local football club as soon as he had finally talked his parents into it. Yeah, he was pretty determined already back then.
And of course, the coaches always wanted to make best use of his tallness, making him play as a goalkeeper first, then center back, or just pure attacker. But he didn't feel that well playing any of those positions. Attacker definitely suited him most out of those, but it took quite a long time for one coach to realize his main strength: the understanding of the game, the overview (favored by his tallness, of course), the strategic flair - in short: Sepp is a player who loves to think out on the pitch, and loves to create the most surprising moments.
He's not the typical number 10; Sepp is not a dribbler. But he is fast and robust, has a great eye for his teammates, can play lovely short and long passes. And, of course, loves to rush into the penalty box and score a few header goals.
He tries to keep the ball for as little time as possible, but as much as needed. He will always prefer an intelligent pass over a dribbling, yet never stands still on the pitch. He's a teamplayer - and the best fitting position for him was found to be CAM. That's his world, and he's looking forward to this great new adventure!
