The battle for Carapaz was fierce, I followed it from a safe distance although I was tempted on bidding on him too. Congratulations on your signings!
Thanks a lot! Glad you watched from a far after the Amador outbidding... haha!

Carapaz is a nice signing indeed. We won't fight over cobbles, but I'm intrigued in the South American fight in the mountains
The mountain fight could be a fun one this season - a lot of good stage racers in the PCT

Really strong squad with competitive riders on every terrain. Your sprinters and puncheurs are a bit volatile in terms of how they'll perform over the course of the season I think, but if things break right for you, you should have a pretty high ceiling. Lovely presentation, too

Something or someone for all terrains with Blythe off course the star of the team for you! Look forward to going up against you again this season

I'm really glad I won't do many cobbles, wouldn't be a lot of fun against Blythe, Stallaert and the likes
I still think Carapaz was too cheap; if I had estimated him at 400k, I'd definitely have gone for him instead of Nairo and saved some money for training Will be fun to battle it out in the PCT mountains for sure!
Your depth on the hills really looks worrying to me at first view; however, I think Gianni doesn't really have to fear any of those. But they should give you great depth results for sure, although all of them might lack a bit of Acc/Res/Mo (or a combination) to consistently compete for top results. Prove me wrong!
Itami and Nizzolo are two cool pickups who should do well if the sprints work out "normally" At least they can't complain about missing leadout support!
Overall, the squad definitely hugely depends on Blythe - who will deliver, no doubt! Carapaz should get some great GC results, too, and chances are high at least one of your puncheurs often shines as well. And if the sprinters do a good job, it should be a comfortable season for you - however, I can't really see the squad close to the promotion spots. Again, prove me wrong

A nice and balanced squad indeed. I think you definitely improved from last year

Thanks a lot - really happy with the team and it was been good to add to the core from last season. I hope it is enough to better last season's position and be able to go from there. Some credit needs to be given to you on the presentation, as I stole some of the things you did

Will be a fun battle on the road and I'm looking forward to it! I really Blythe will be the star of the division come the end of the season

The Stallaert battle is going to be a fun one I think - there are a lot of string riders in PCT this season and I hope we have the pick of them. Depth is good in most areas which can be key, but the PCM20 AI can be a fun one with the likes of ACC/RES etc. We will just have to see. Carapaz could have been cheaper if it wasn't for Maxime getting it going again with a 36hr bid... he had gone quiet at about 280k!
Nizzolo is a back up for Itami. Kenji is declining so hoping it doesn't hit him hard this year. He was the reason why we stayed up last year. Let's see how the sprint monopoly goes.

That was the plan and I think so too. Lots some key riders, but we have added better leaders compared with last year's team.

I honestly think it will be a tough road to survival. Blythe will have to carry you, but apart from him you lack the "upside"-leaders in my opinion. You'll have consistency, but I'm not sure it's enough if Blythe can't be a star. So good that you have a nice setup for him.

Prior to the training list and the new DB being released, I was confident in the team but now... not so much! Blythe having a big season is key

I have to echo this could be a tough year for you. Blythe is great, but so are Stallaert and Trentin who are both faster. And there are still some other cobblers who will give you a hard time (hopefully Vanbilsen amongst them), so it won't be an Andorra season.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I'm hoping it isn't an Andorra season... they were relegated without the disbanding! PCT is just a very hard division so we will see how it goes.

Andorra finished safely thanks to their incredible cobble points iirc?

.:Wildcards Announced:.
The 2021 Wilcards have been announced and just like last year, we receive our Top 2 picks and our 4th choice for the PT races.
Adam Blythe will have the chance to shine at all the races, with him defending his crown at Paris - Roubaix, riding on home roads in East Midlands Cicle Classic and bidding for glory in Rome at the Strada Appia Antica.

I guess the both of us are really hoping for another great year of one of our sprinters, as iirc Itami did incredibly well last year. Blythe should obviously be one of the division's star cobblers, but as others said the competition there has not gotten that much weaker, even though Summerhill moved to PT. It's nice to see. you have a separate time trial contingent for Archibald, but I doubt he will score much points
Best of luck, as I can imagine both of us fighting against relegation, although I think a move like Carapaz to ToA could give you a very nice edge over me and other competitors.

Itami was the reason for survival last year, but he has declined. Blythe will be the one who needs to be performing at the highest level and cobbles are tough this year. The entire division is going to be tough.
Archibald is the only TT rider on the team... it is the only thing he can do... haha
Carapaz could be key, although now sure on ToA just yet
