wtf Colbrelli

FreitasPCM
Colbrelli finished 3rd on a mountaintop finish. Bahrain’s level are insane.

And Pogacar is just joking now.

Interesting indeed.
"He made a bigger comeback than Easter Sunday."

The DQS lead out train is insane you could almost place any WT sprinter in at the end and they'd still win.

I think that's being a bit unfair to Mark Cavendish. His comeback to the highest level has been nothing short of incredible. You could argue it's one of the greatest cycling comebacks of all time. Lemond probably tops him. Not too many others though.

I am a massive Cav fan and I am not saying that he isn't excellent. The win where he jumps wheel to wheel earlier in this year's Tour should be telling enough of the form that he is in at the moment and I am loving every moment of it.

And that is massively unfair to the QS train, they just delivered him perfectly. Cav definitely deserves some recognision for what he's doing, but the majority of the work is most defintely the train.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I think to be fair to everyone. Cav is the form right now that if trains didnt exist he'd be in with a good shout of winning any sprint.

However, the Quick Step train is making sure thats his always in the right place to win every sprint. Which basically, is the reason train exist.

If you don't have trains and its a free for all, theres to many variables and the strongest sprinter can still get boxed in, knocked etc and not win. The train works to eliminate all those variables.

As a Cav fan, its good to see him finally fit again and with confidence. I think Sprinting in general is very confidence based and Cav especially is someone thats drops levels when he isn't that confident. QS have got him motivated and believing in himself, combined with him not being ill or undercooked its good to see him getting that last hurrah (or hell, maybe even more then one) he deserves.

Its good for Cavendish and Quick Step but people should stop calling it a comeback. The guy just sucked for a couple of years. There was no major injury, no big breakdown. He just didnt win shit at all. Its not a comeback when you just suck lol

I wouldn't call Pfeiffer's glandular fever no major injury or nothing.

Time wise it's pretty much possible back in 2017/18 and getting it again in 2019 that it had huge impact on his performance.

Plus I guess being in a team with much confidence in him as well helps after that period.

He was long-term ill for most of 2017 and parts of 2018. Not your traditinal injury, but it meant he couldn't race for an extended period.

Basically he won 3 Tour stages in 2016, was long term ill for 2017 & 18. Less we say about the Bahrain year the better, clearly not good mentally or physically at a dodgy team. 2020 we'll wipe for pandemic. 2020 winning tour stages again.

Feels like a strong comeback to me #totallynotbias

Fair enough I didn't know about the sickness, since he has been racing normal I thought he was just getting old.
