Talents Signing
As announced before it is possible from round 8 on to make contracts with talents you have found via Scouting for next season. As now August (=8th month) started we also proceed into round 8 in Scouting. If you want to sign talents please donwload this file: https://www.mediafire.com/file/gydlx7....xlsx/file
This file is easy to handle:
#1 Enter your team ID
#2 Enter the ID of the riders you want to sign into the respective column (orange coloured). The other cells will automatically be filled out.
#3 Send me the table via PM
All talents that you successfully sign, will get a wage of 100. If several teams want to contract a rider, there will be a silent auction. The team bidding the highest will get the rider. If two teams bid the same, the team that found the rider earlier will get him.
All talents signed will be allowed to ride in development teams next season.
You do not need to have completed 7 rounds of Scouting, but it's of course beneficiary if you have. Of course you can still continue Scouting before sending in bids, if you haven't reached round 7 or even if you haven't even started.

Scouting Packs
Like already announced it is also possible to use your scouting budget for Stat packs. Each pack contains 5 talents with full information on all stats. There are four different types of packs. One without guarantees (Pack 1), one with one guaranteed Pot4+ (Pack 2) rider one with pot5+ (Pack 3) and one with Pot6+ (Pack4). Besides that it is also possible to request full stats for a single rider you know the ID of. This works the same as for the full stats you can request from a scout, but if you pay 5 you are not restricted to riders that were scouted already three times.

If you want to buy packs, please send me a PM stating what packs you'd like. I'll then send you the riders included in your pack. If you want to request the stats of a single rider, PM me with his ID.
You can decide what rider types are included in your pack. If you specify nothing, all will be included. If you want only Specific rider types please select from these 7 types:
Stage Racer, Climber, Timetrialist, Sprinter, Puncheur, Flandrien, Fighter
It is now also possible to specify some countries/regions where the talents in the pack come from. The ones you choose are not as restricted as in the scouting with the scouts, feel free to combine any you like.
Note that if you restrict the possible talents in your pack too much, there might not exist a talent fulfilling the potential specification of the pack. If that happens, though luck.
You can buy packs during all of the remainder of the season, you do not need to do so before the first round of talent signing. Talents included are always unsigned.

The 1 or 0 indicates if a team has signed Scouts. If you haven't done so so far I can only recommend it.
Deadline: No deadline at the moment, but try to be rather quick. If you don't think you have time to go through 7 rounds of scouting (I'll try to answer with reports quick), you can also only buy packs. |

Given we have soon wrapped up the season and the world championships are coming up, should we start discussion on the route?
I'd prefer to have something for the sprinters, although not completely flat. Since the last two WCs were rather mountain/hill heavy and we had the OR for hill riders too, I think a flatish race seems fair. Some might argue it is also time for another one with some cobbles.

I think it should be a flat race, with some light cobbles to add some selection. And I'm not just saying that because that's the exact profile for my strongest rider.

Have I actually missed something, or are we still waiting for the outcomes of the first talent signing round? Afaik the deadline was last weekend, and I haven't got any news since.

I was probably among the last to get my bids in on Wednesday, coordinating our moves with my nephew proved somewhat difficult (but plenty of fun).
I'm sorry if that is what caused the hold-up!

Talents Signing Part 2
Not all talents a team might have bid on, could be signed uncontested. If several managers bid on a talent, there needs to be another bid, which can be higher than 100. Whoever bids the highest now gets a rider for the wage he offered. If two teams still bid the same, the team that has found a rider earlier has priority with Scouts > Packs. If that still doesn't decide a winner the talent will decide with a random generator.
If you need to do rebids, I'll send you a table that looks similar to this:

Copy the table, replace the 100 to your new bid and send the edited table back to me.
For this task I'll give a 48hour deadline.
You can now also continue with scouting, please send me a message in case you have updated your sheet for round 8 already! Talents can be signed again after the final 10th round. |
