I think this is the first day in 15 years that I don't consider myself a cycling fan.

Alpecin 1-2 today, back to back stage wins and yellow jersey. Big budget Protour teams are totaly ruining cycling.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Absolute chaos so far this Tour. Just repeated carnage. What the hell is going on?

Felt similarly. Somebody needs to be fired for this stage design. Maybe the worst thing were those speedbumps out of a highspeed-corner with 2km to go, if it would've been a full bunch there there would've 100% been another crash there.

Just saw the replay of the final kms. Total carnage, what is going on with this? Can’t remember seeing so many crashes in just 3 stages. |

If Merlier is indeed their designated sprinter, he can actually win those 3 stages you mentioned earlier in the year. Depending on Ewan’s injuries, doesn’t look great for him.
Apparently teams requested organisers to count finish times on the last 8km but they gave no response. |

Ewan's collarbone is broken according to Thomas De Gendt so very unlikely that he starts tomorrow.

Without being callous, i hope the UCI says no. The rules should be the rules, and this was not caused by a random spectator or dodgy piece of road furniture.
Crashes happen, it's your job as a team to keep yourself positioned and upright. There's a reason the winner is the one who doesn't get mixed up in these accidents (look at Carapaz staying quiet in the front group!)
Crazy, but not much beyond a normal Tour start. Riders are anxious, racing is fast, sh*t happens. (dumbass spectators not withstanding, they can eat a d*ck)
Hopefully this ripples through the peloton and things will chill a bit tomorrow before we do end up with a GC between Julien Berard, Quentin Pacher and Nans Peteres with 12 finishers.

totally agree here, are they calling for a Mt Ventoux farce bis?
anyway I don't understand why mohoric was taking it so fast with his leader bad positioned in the bunch...looks like a bad own goal

They said they don't commit to GC riding and he instead rode for Sonny Colbrelli, who was pretty much up there at the front.

yeah he was good but I think Haig isn't the best on the big & long high mountains but better on medium sized ones. I think he'll excel in tough classics and one-week races with few TT kilometers

am I the only one that this was a stupid finish route saved only from backlash by Cavendish missing Van Moer?

I was never a Cavendish fan, but damn. I can't deny I was pulling for him. What a great comeback.
