14 players have submitted answers in this round, let's see how everyone fared.
1. Name a type of cereal.
The wording of the question could have been better, as I was hoping people would name a specific brand. Most went on the path of naming a type instead of a brand. Cornflakes was the popular answer here with 6. Oats was next up with 3. No other answer had more than 2.
Spoiler 6 - Cornflakes
3 - Oats
2 - Wheat
1 - Fruit Loops
1 - Special K
1 - Rice Krispies
2. Name something you put on pancakes besides butter & syrup.
A much closer question in terms of how common answers were among participants. Eliminating syrup and butter forced people to think outside the box. A popular hazelnut spread, Nutella, was the top answer with 4. Again, nothing else had more than 2.
Spoiler 4 - Nutella
2 - Sugar
2 - Fruit
2 - Honey
1 - Bacon
1 - Whipped Cream
1 - Ice Cream
1 - Marmalade
3. Name a restaurant that specializes in breakfast food.
I'm gonna be honest, this one was much, much closer than I had anticipated. IHOP was running away with a big lead early, but in the latter half of the round, nobody was putting IHOP. With 5, IHOP wins. Starbucks was very close behind with 3.
Spoiler 5 - IHOP
3 - Starbucks
2 - McDonald's
1 - Denny's
1 - Tim Hortons
1 - Waffle House
1 - Burger King
4. Name something that pairs well with eggs.
Only one answer got you more than a single point for this question, and that was Bacon. You got 10 points if you said Bacon. I thought we might see more of a variety for this answer but that was certainly not the case.
Spoiler 10 - Bacon
1 - Pancakes
1 - Bread
1 - Sausage
1 - Sperm
5. How many days a week (0-7) does the typical person eat breakfast?
We have some big breakfast eaters at PCM.Daily as almost everyone said all seven days of the week (10).
Spoiler Seven - 10
Five - 2
Zero - 1
Three - 1
Results
Ripley takes the early lead with a perfect round. Let's see if Ripley can maintain the lead we head into Round 2.
I'm With Stupid Game 4 - Round 2
Automobiles
1. Name a popular color for a vehicle.
2. Name a car part that is NOT under the hood.
3. How many automobiles does the typical person own in their lifetime? (cumulative over their entire life)
4. Name an automotive tire brand.
5. Name a car body style.
Answers must be PM'd to me before 8:00am ET on Friday, May 21.
Make sure to leave a comment below when you have submitted your answer!

Definitely not my best round. The amount of breakfasts one slipped me up. I don't know too many people that eat a full breakfast every day here, and I figured I'd go for an extreme, so I picked 0, but that was clearly a mistake.

Bacon! Could have thought of that. Otherwise pretty happy with the round, but that was obviously a big miss. Cars are really not my field of expertise, but let's see what happens. PM sent.

Breakfast is easily something you could spend 1-2 h a day with. Well, hard to do while working but whenever possible, taking time, have a coffee and relax. |

Probably as eggs are inside the pancakes. But I never paired them having pancakes plus eggs before. Not sure if this is common elsewhere but never really heard of it.
Well probably as I had to Google IHOP as I never heard of it before. |

As someone that considers breakfast the best meal, eggs and bacon are a better combo if you are forced to pick only two things. Of course Bacon, eggs, pancakes, sausages, hashbrowns, syrup, french toast, crepes etc are all great together, but bacon is to eggs what butter is to toast.

A perfect round! I might as well retire right now. The answers all seemed obvious to me. Cornflakes are the original cereal to me, most Europeans at least will think of Nutella for pancakes, bacon&eggs, nuff said, and though I don't usually eat breakfast I expect the vast majority eat it every day. The concept of a restaurant specialising in breakfast is weird to me, so I had to turn to the US and IHOP fits nicely with the pancakes question.
Anyway, new PM sent.

That was more of an american round, so still bad although going for good points...
In Germany (and I think quite some other countries in continental Europe) a breakfast food restaurant in most cases is called a bakery , which also explains my (and probably some of the other players' lack of pancake-based knowledge.
And: PM sent.
