Gg Quaade, gg not a superb last sprint from Robert, but his consistency did secure the green jersey.
Several stage podiums, a green jersey and two stage wins, we can leave the race with a smile on our face.

More great stuff from KBC-Old boy Eijssen in Portugal. He is having a great season for Latvijas Balzams - Olainfarm. Had to cut him in the Nairo salary clear but was sad to lose him.

No no no, Eijssen is a Filliers boy, you only had him for one or two years!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Glad that Xavier is trying in his home race. 4th and 3rd so far is decent enough I suppose. Still, the sprinter's field isn't super deep, and getting a stage win here would be really awesome for both team morale and satisfying the sponsors.

Second to Talansky in the opening prologue is still too much variance for my liking, guess there needs to be even more TT training next off-season.
Still, that was a decent start, but then Schnaidt totally failed our expectations in the sprint stages, worsened by the entire team bar Herklotz apparently having to wait for a crashed Auer on stage 3, basically ruining all chances for secondary points scoring in this race.
But well, at least we finished stage 4 appropriately on the top step of the podium!
A good gap to Nerz that isn't quite comfortable enough yet, at least everyone behind those two are out of the running.
The points jersey is sadly out of reach due to the way too realistic points spread, but I do want a top 5 from Schnaidt and a Top 10 from Herklotz on the flat stage 5.
Then we need to defend the jersey on the second mountaintop finish by at least managing to s.t. with Nerz, with the KoM jersey on the line there as well.
And can we then please get lucky and win at least ONE time trial this season??

with 77 in PRL is quite an honest result for Andrew to win that kind of stage.
Good for us with him leading some rankings for 3 days, until his usual fading in first mountain finish.

Decent stuff from Nerz to be second so far in Canada, no problem in losing to the beast that is Herklotz I hope he can hold on in the last stages.

Vancouver is over!
Spoiler I don't do it on purpose, but Nerz crashed on stage 6. Apologies! Seriously. I have crash ratio on 50% but it seems like almost always someone leader will crash out. |

Wanted more from Langlois in stage 5, but what can you do? Points jersey would have been great, but McEvoy was just too strong in the end. Desjardins continues to be kind of pointless.
Not quite what we wanted from a home race, but it could have been worse.

2nd overall, I will definitely take that, especially against the MG God. Sorry that it comes at the cost of Nerz crashing out, who almost definitely would have taken 2nd if not for that.

Vancouver good result for Suntory B team managed 3 in the top 15, 2nd in U25 and Teams.
Thanks for the reports dominox.
Let's turn off crashes, it's not much fun for the affected managers.

Huzzah!
It sucks to yet again not win against Nerz on merit, that's been a lot of bad luck for him this season.
I'm sorry about that Nemolito, as much as I've complained about small things here and there this year, we've managed to get Herklotz through his races unscathed so far and that's a privilege.
Two wins, two second places, a 9th and a 10th to take two jerseys and a lot of points back home from Canada.
Another very successful focus race, but whether it's enough to get into the promotion spots remains to be seen. At the very least Herklotz continues to fund his own training through his performances.
Too bad Auer got taken out of contention early and Schnaidt had to sacrifice one sprint opportunity for it while not really capitalizing on the weaker field in the remaining ones either, but it was worth a shot and we've been successful enough as is here.
Although I'm still unhappy with the random riders beating us in TTs. Herklotz distanced two 79s just to lose to a 73.
We'll be back south of that border soon to attempt the last GC campaign of the season! And thanks dominox for picking up the race.

Vancouver was neither here nor there. It was a CT.1 participation for us and I guess finishing in 17th overall is not that bad. Still, compared with Vuelta a Guatemala where we performed exceptionally well it is a lesser result.
Worrisome reports from Juarez for my team. It's one of our focus races and unfortunately we are not up to par there. Only 2 stages left so I'm keeping my fingers crossed we can come up with something to please the sponsors. |

Ha, our ever so useless dev team top sprinter decided to join a breakaway in Juarez and is wearing the KOM jersey! Never thought he'd scored prestige points.

Brilliant news to see Bosch up to second in the fight for promotion!
Herklotz obviously needs to make the most out of his remaining 11 race days, but I think our final result will mainly depend on Matthias Plarre, as he has EIGHT one-day races left in his schedule.
His consistency in those classics should decide our finishing position at least as much as our results in the five races Herklotz and Schnaidt have left combined.
Brugse Zot is expectedly gone, and Trans Cycling continue their great season and surprisingly remain serious opposition.
Pedal Africa also seem to do very well so far this season, I have to hope both them and Trans had a front-loaded schedule for their leaders so we can pull away from both teams in the fall races.
VisitUkraine certainly has the material to get back into contention as well, as do Equinor and of course Magnum depending on how many upcoming races they can still aim to win.
As I lack experience with this calendar, it's tough to get a feel for whether our position is as good as it looks at the moment, so I'm excited to find out soon!

Woah, wow! Okay! I guess consistency really is king. I thought for sure that without a stage win our GC would eventually falter, and I would have been happy with a to 5. But Bennett just did what he had to do every single stage!
That's the type of performance that really justifies his training this year for me and makes me proud to have made his absolutely horrific Irish NC jersey. GC and the Points jersey in one race. Juarez is one I will have to mark down as a place to come back to since he clearly likes it.
Thanks dominox!
