I was also surprised at how stage 3 went in NCT. Tempo was quite slow for almost whole climb. No attacks until basically final sprint. And climb itself turned out to not be that hard also.
Thank you for the updates! May I ask how the 4th stage went? Just curious, nothing else.
Those short flat stages are usually done with a fast tempo with breakaway either let free for more than 1'30" where it's hard to catch them, or having not more than a minute. Mass sprint so...
Thanks!
I thought so. I was hoping there was a crash, but in the end Guirado couldn't keep the pace. It would have been nice to get another top 10 finish. In that case your PC would have been really good to my team. |

well done!! Phinney strikes it at his first race, and it's OHN. God we were dreaming a race like this!

He just seems to be randomly OP
Kwiato decent result just a poor TT in the end
Van Asbroeck fifth in OHN, not too bad

I'd say that was a decent start to March for Guinness.
Nothing for Langlois in Italy. Just too deep of a field for him to get any traction and do anything more than follow wheels, which is understandable.
Lavery did decently in Omloop I think. Stayed within himself and gets a WT top 15. Don't think he's capable of much more than that unless he has a brilliant day, but at least he was alert and involved.
Quite happy with Dan's performance in Clasica Iberia. It was one of our focus races, so a good result was very important for us. The win was always going to be difficult though, given that the false flat towards the finish was going to make it hard for Martin to out-sprint anyone he was with. That's basically what happened with EBH. However, Martin did a good job to be aggressive, make the selection, and stay away. 2nd place is a result I can be satisfied with. Hopefully this is an indication of good things to come in future hilly races.
Thanks for the videos! Awesome to watch everything play out.

I guess 3rd is ok in Omloop, but I do feel we deserved better. Cobbles AI is still a bit meh here, GVK clearly the strongest but he sat up every time whle he definitely could've taken Oss to the line.
Van Poppel failing to top 10 again is starting to get depressing. AI just doesn't like him for some reason.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Having covered these cobbled races for 7 seasons now, I am incredibly annoyed by this AI behaviour. It makes no sense to me to sit up with 2-3 riders on your wheel and wait for the rest of the bunch to catch up.
Eventually we may discuss a switch of the PCM version I suppose although all in all, PCM15 is doing an okay job and looking at Mangame it can get much worse.

Quite an overperformance by Gonzalez in Clasica Iberica, I guess. Romero Martínez and Huamán make it a great team result, with 3 in the Top 15. Definitely a much needed result, given our pretty bad February results.
EBH is just a beast though, massive performance again!

Seventh is not great for Vanmarcke, ninth is not great for Bouhanni. Hopefully performances turn around soon.

Dodgy AI aside, Sagan seemed very passive in the Omloop, always at the end of the group, can be happy with 4th, plus 12th for Dibben and 21st for Stannard. 10th seems about right for the T-A classic.

Kinda wanted better for Kern in Iberia, but not a terrible result. I guess I thought he was also riding Tirreno, but wasn't so that wasn't a great race for us. EBH seems quite strong in the early season.

Only problem in pcm20 would be having control team not going over time limit in certain stages, lol |

Pintzopoulos
Thrilled that he got his first big win. I think Clasica TA was a very late addition to his schedule but a good one. In Omloop he was also active but the cobbles AI is really terrible. In the end results of cobbled races are mostly ok, only the way they happen is not. Attacking riders have a disadvantage. PCM15 is mostly fine for now. I think it is a good idea to wait to see how the MG does with PCM20 before switching. Not worth the risk for now imo.
Also nice to see Pintzopoulos face off Eisaks so often. The regens are slowly taking over

You gave me a quick heart attack that something with the startlist was not okay, but check the result again |

Painful for Van Avermaet to finish 24th in the Omloop, while Rui Costa proves he's not a classic rider with a subpar performance as well. Things can only get better later this month

Thank you for the videos and reports!
It was fun to watch Omloop, but I guess the little pixeled guys live in fear of each other there. Or overthink their strategies.
It was a slow month for me, the team's best riders are preparing for the months ahead with more important races for us toward the middle of the year. Good to see Arthur on the breakaway although he looked dead tired on the last 5-6 km. |

Two fantastic races for Sagan.
I was getting very worried in the Strade Bianche when at first he was far from the front, I didn't see a chance in hell he'd make it into the group of favourites. But Sagan proved to be Sagan and suddenly he was ideally placed. Probably couldn't have gone any better, except for winning the uphill sprint against Betancur for 4th, should have waited just a little longer.
In the Roma Maxima we finally saw him being very active, catching Lutsenko and Moser. And then he was smartly placed, thank you Moser for launching that attack/sprint which allowed Sagan the win.
Thank you Shonak, I always love these videos, very exciting to watch. What's with the title of the Roma Maxima video?

The last classics haven't been very good to us, we should stick to the stage races with Mohoric where our supporting cast is better at helping him winning.
