Confusing and conflicting reporting going on.
Given the race is still 2 1/2 weeks away it seems like the organisers are going to work on getting an exemption to any restrictions, and are also waiting to see what the restrictions will be closer to the time.
Basically, watch this space and we'll hear for sure soon.

They'll just move it to the end of the year again. September or October time.

Another EPO positive for Vini Zabu, this time Matteo de Bonis. And they were still invited for the Giro, sure.
The team is on the risk of being suspended for 15-45 days now.

Pretty sure Mauro Androni will want them out of the Giro, but IMO both teams shouldn't have been invited in first place

Savio is as bad as the guys from Vini Zabu. I would rather invite Arkea to be honest

Arkea after Quintana stuff at 2020 TdF? nah, let's give Giro to an Italian team...who often vivify stages and discover great riders for WT teams

Androni after all the doping cases and backing out of agreements (Ivan Sosa was originally going to Trek before Savio backstabbed them to make a deal with Sky)? Nope, thank you - Savio only cares about the profit he makes by selling his riders.

Speaking of Vini Zabú - this team has as many name changes over its entire history as had riders busted for doping. Here is the entire naming history of the team with many names:
2009–2010 | ISD–Neri | 2011 | Farnese Vini–Neri Sottoli | 2012 | Farnese Vini–Selle Italia | 2013 | Vini Fantini–Selle Italia | 2014 | Yellow Fluo | 2014 | Neri Sottoli | 2015 | Neri Sottoli-Alé | 2015 | Southeast Pro Cycling | 2016 | Southeast–Venezuela | 2016 | Wilier Triestina–Southeast | 2017–2018 | Wilier Triestina–Selle Italia | 2019 | Neri Sottoli–Selle Italia–KTM | 2020 | Vini Zabù–KTM | 2020– | Vini Zabù–Brado–KTM |
In 2011 and 2012 the team even competed under British flag instead of Italian. IDK if under the ISD banner they were Ukranian or Italian team

The fact that sponsors leave and come back to the team is what makes it so confusing.

I hope the Giro invites Gazprom instead, they have great regional riders (like the Cimas, Canola and Velasco) as well as awesome internationals (like Kreuziger, Zakarin) and cool talents (like Vacek, Cherkasov). These eight would make for an awesome Giro-roster. Oh, and their team is also based in and trains in Italy.

As said above, Androni isn't much better. And I also seem to remember Bardiani had similar issues in 2017 but were allowed to start anyway for some reason. I'd say kick out all Italian teams and let a national selection of clean riders join like they do in TDU and Pologne.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

that would be cool but also the death of national sponsorships, which is the base of today's cycling. Considering doping cases in whole history of a team, Vuelta shouldn't invite any national team too. But also several WT teams aren't in a bright position.

Paris-Roubaix officially moved to October 3rd, with the Women’s event the day before.
I really hope they can go ahead in said dates, nearly 3 years without P-R is... unimaginable. |

So... Arkea? Androni? Or no one?
Personally would like to see Quintana race the Giro again. |

Given the short timeframe, I wouldn't be surprised if RCS decides to not reallocate the vacated wildcard invitation.

Androni received the wildcard that should've gone to Gazprom |
