Congrats on putting together a nice squad and staying tight to your national focus. Was trying to figure out how to fit Vakoc on to my team but didn't have the space, glad he found a home.

Yeah, very nice, very Portuguese speaking, only the two Czech riders need to be integrated.

Two very nice language focused teams joining, Liberty Seguros definitely approves!

Vakoc and Boros were two riders I nearly went after. Seeing them available so late, it only made sense to go after them. Should be very good scorers in CT.

09/02. Unveiled Engeldinger's Jersey
In recent Free Agency market, Brugse Zot - Trek got an agreement with the new Luxembourgish national champion Charles Engeldinger, and for the first time a rider from the team will wear a different jersey than the classical one. The team hopes it will be very visible in front of the bunch, in particular in mountain stages.
The design isn't much different from the primary one, but the colours are entirely on red/white/light blue from the national flag, with just rhombuses differing from the classical luxembourghish national champion jersey.

Danish time-trial champion Rasmus Quaade was sent to a solitary training camp in Argentina, where he went undercover as a local rider and improved his skills against the clock with the riders of Tierra del Fuego. Time for an exclusive interview brought to you by Magnum - Madshus. MTV: Welcome, Rasmus. First of all, did the TdF riders find out you were a mole? Did they notice you were not a South American?
RQ: I've got to be honest, the plan fell apart on the first day. It definitely was not the smartest idea to wear my Danish champion jersey. Nevertheless, manager Fabianski and the riders accepted me as one of their own, and I feel like we all learned a bit from each other. Eduardo Sepulveda even offered me to sleep at his place, which I then did.
MTV: Can you tell us a bit more about manager Fabianski and his team, what can we expect from them?
RQ: Well, it was quite funny to see how Fabianski just spoke German all the time, with Rick Zabel the only one being able to understand him. I guess the money my team spent on the plane ticket to Argentina, their team spends on translators. I have to admit, I really like their team. They have got a bit of everything, although missing that big leader. Fabianski has already shown us however what magic he creates in a second season with his teams. I am happy Nemolito sent me there, as I have the feeling I really made some good amigos.
MTV: So what do you think, did you really improve your time-trial abilities?
RQ: That's hard to say of course, but I think so. If I had to rate my skills on a scale of 85, I think I would be a 79 now, whereas before that used to be a 78. A very strange way to measure things, I know, but it feels right.

You don't really have faith in my language skills, do you?
OK, I admit that I didn't understand much of what Rasmus and Frederik were talking about behind my back... But Spanish actually works more or less

I am not accountable for what my riders say during interviews
And I'm sure your Spanish is way better than my Danish, the only thing I know how to say is Post Danmark Rundt

Two Education First Riders take on greater course load
In a recently released press release, the team manager has stated that two riders on the team have taken a love for learning so seriously, that he believes their room for growth could be endless. For many, school is a drag, and most just want to get through their day, to play video games or hang with friends (atleast before COVID). But Marcel Hornig and Zdzislaw Kolodziejski have reportedly spent all their time at at the Education First Prep school. One janitor at the facility said he practically has to chase them out at the end of the day because they are busy reading all the latest books on cycling such as: How to Improve at Cycling 101, and the regional best-seller, Fitness starts in the Bedroom, the complete guide to getting a good nights sleep for cycling.
With the team building a rather young squad, the importance of training and learning for the younger riders has been stressed by managers from day one. The team manager is hoping that Marcel and Zdzislaw will be able to take their training wheels off in just a years time, and ride for the main team, but for now, they will remain at Education First Prep School, where hopefully their desire to learn brushes off on some of the other students, who for now seem more interested in playing a videogame know as Pro Cycling Manager.

Tierra del Fuego
Jersey Presentation
It is with great pleasure that we present you today the jerseys that our riders will be wearing during the 2020 season! Big thanks go to designer ivaneurope, who did a great job creating these shirts!
Without further ado, let's take a look at the main team's jersey:
The main colors of the jersey correspond to the flag of Argentina's Tierra del Fuego province, which can be seen on the front and the back of the jersey. On the shorts, we have the Chilean counterpart, the flag of the Magallanes y Antártica Chilena region.
Besides the standard ICL logo, we also have jersey manufacturer Santini and our bike sponsor Orbea represented - of course along with our primary sponsor Banco de Tierra del Fuego, and secondary sponsor Tren del Fin del Mundo.
We think our riders will be highly recognizable with these jerseys - and we're of course hoping to see them as often as possible!
Furthermore, we present you the special jerseys of our three time trial national champions: Jonathan Saavedra, Pablo Gonçalves and Fernando Gaviria:
Last but not least, let's take a look at our junior team's jersey:
While the sponsors are the same as for the main team, the colors are clearly different. Our designer has successfully integrated both the Argentinean and the Chilean flag in this jersey, perfectly representing the collaboration of both countries in this project!
Now, let's hope this outfit will bring us as much success as possible!
Tierra del Fuego
Training News
While our jersey was being worked on, our riders were using their training shirts to prepare for the upcoming season. One rider was doing exceptionally well: Tácio Mendes made a good step forward in his climbing skills, reaching a value of 76 in the performance tests. Together with Javier Gomez, he'll be leading the team in more time-trial heavy stage races.

Bennett Ready for Redemption
After a down year last year in which he saw his skills slip, Sam Bennett has been extra motivated to prove himself this offseason. Having won the Irish National Championships, the 30 year old then found new energy after being transferred to Guinness Cycling, a new Irish CT team. The chance to race in his national colors for his home team became an opportunity he wanted to take advantage of. So, he has worked incredibly hard this offseason, with help from his new team, to regain the fitness and skillset he knows he's capable of.
All this hard work seems to have led to important benefits for the Irish sprinter. Reports from scouts say that he has regained his peak top speed and should be a solid contender in the CT division this year. He will hope to get a couple of wins and show off his jersey.
Unfortunately, Bennett was a little less excited when the team presented him with his new jersey's design. It appears to just be the main Guinness jersey, only recolored in an Irish palette by a toddler. Nevertheless, Bennett will hope to perform well this season, so maybe next year the team can afford a more refined look.
Spoiler If anyone thinks they can do a better job, feel free to do so.
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy

Suntory Lucozade Sport
Manager DaveTwoBob took a bit of risk with his training funds which paid off nicely.
New recruit Juris Eisaks felt he was close to the next cobbles level, and was given just enough training funds to get him to there. This puts him in the top 8 cobblers in the world. Improvements to his in Flat, Sprint and Stamina will help him to score points on a terrain Suntory has struggled with in the past. Juris is only 26 years old so this investment will pay out for a number of years.
Mads Pedersen needed some help with his sprinting following Cav’s departure and focused on Classics training to improve his sprints, hill climbing and cobbling as well as better energy management. With these improvements Mads will target World Cup races this season. Mads is 25 years old which meant he had to avoid overtraining which would impact the number of years he can perform at the top level.
Remaining training funds went to 24 year old stage racer Samuel Crochet in the hope he can earn some points from U25 rankings as well as preparing to becoming a future Grand Tour leader.

Very nice strengthening of the squad, like the new shift to cobbles. Eisaks could turn into a dark horse, that is for 2nd place. Don't see any challenging GVK in most races this year.

CCC Sprandi Polkowice Training Camp
In the recent days where our riders did spend for training for upcoming season, we realised something was... different. One of our riders was having better times and his overall abilities has slightly improved in the recent days. Our team decided to send Patryk Komisarek to specialist to test his cycling skills. When the results showed up, we were in shock. It turned out Komisarek has improved his sprint abilities and is feeling much better than at the same time last year. He said he wants now more days in WT races and our team will gladly give him that possibility. CCC Sprandi Polkowice wasn't expecting this at all. Specialist that was looking at Patryk's training said in private meeting that it might be possible, that his potential is even better now. We still don't know what to think about it, but we will look after Patryk Komisarek in upcoming season and years.

Most suspicious overnight transformation but having doped up Herrada myself, I applaud the move. Nothing better than boosting riders from your focus nation that have been with you for some time!
