Wow what an incredible stretch for Bikex lately. Hope Theuns can do better in stage 5 and hold until then, but he's just not the rider he was last season - and I even thought the lower rated cobble sectors would have given him a slight advantage.

Kasperkiewicz was under a lot of pressure to step it up with Dennis doing so well
Great sprint result from Hsu! The bonus seconds could end up being very important. I thought there might be a gap given but apparently not |

Probably the first time this season that Eislers started a sprint too early. When being in such a good position, I'd want more than a 7th place but with two more opportunities, we still got chances to make this is a solid race. Shame that Riesebeek couldnt stay ahead of the peleton in the beginning. Would have loved him going after KoM points.

Wasn't expecting this race to be a minimum point scoring race, wow.

After a sligthly better than expected stage 1 it's only natural we get a sligthly worse than expected stage 2, so we're interested to know how sligthly is the next result going to be.

After four months in our colours, TvA has realized he can compete in sprints. Finally!

Good report, terrible stage for Evonik. After starting his sprint about a mile too early yesterday, he decided to start his sprint about 5 miles too late today. This wasnt good enough.

The remove of 5 star cobbles has really killed Vanmarcke this season.
Daniel Ruiz being our best bet for some GC points explains it all

Very good sprint from Perera. His best result for us so far. And nice that Hermans holds on to the KoM jersey. Hopefully he can defend it so we can salvage some points from this race despite the terrible opening stage.

Glad to see two of my longtime leaders winning on the same day. Happy for GCN, although I couldve used two wins today, with where Im at in the standings

Nope. Definitely need a better Howard, otherwise this race is going to be a true disappointment.

Disastrous. Kinda as expected, since Howard had the best sprint stats here. So we entered the race with the best sprinter and a cobbler, who should at least be solid on hillyish cobble stages. And Howard gets a 4th place and David doesn't even bother to finish inside the Top-50
I know the race ain't over. But it's a true disappointment anyway.

Manninen is such a beast, impressive how he continues to come up with upsets like this. Congrats Valio!

Kek is quietly impressing me in this race, getting as good results as Ewan tends to get in stage races... wait....

Yelling works apparently. Still the preparation had me worried but Vesely pulled through. Now for the rest of the team to fail miserably again tomorrow.

This is just not good enough by Eislers so this probably will end up being the biggest disappointment for Evonik in a while

Hsu unfortunately starting his sprint from a bad position in the last two stages, but can't complain with his 3rd place in stage 2.
I'm really excited for the last stage. Anything can still happen. I hope Kasperkiewicz has a good day again. Looking at the results from last year when a big peloton finished the last stage together is comforting but I don't think that will be repeated as this time Summerhill is not in the lead and will for sure attack and if that happens I fear the race will immediately break apart. |
