Coppa Placci - Discussion

3 clear in Hill stat and can't hang on to a lead for 500 meters! Rolling Eyes Oh well, 3rd is ok but we should've won this. Also disappointed with the team effort. There's enough strength there to not run out of helpers so early.

Congrats on the win Fabianski and thanks for the report Nemolito Smile

I decided to pick one C2 hilly classic this year and I'm glad it didn't have to be this one Pfft

Go Zordan!! Prove the doubters wrong! Grin

Redordead, I'm eternally grateful. Please wish Zordan luck more often. He's been a disappointment the whole beginning of this season but chose the right day to make amends. Your words must have been magic.

First top 10 goal of the season and the man who seemed least likely to clear it for us, just did it. Very happy!

Thanks Nemo for the report. It was written in the stars that one of your reports would bring this kind of achievement!

One point for Mosca to avoid the 0-pointer. When the final splits were happening i hoped for a Top15 finish, but those who were left behind earlier paced themselves better for the finish

That's certainly not how I expected it to go. Looking at the profile I did not really see this as a hybrid race where mountain would play much of a role, but the game disagreed.

I guess we'll never know whether bringing Fabbro ruined JJ's chances, or got us a top 10 when we otherwise wouldn't have. Either way, the game seemed confused by having both of them on my team, as JJ should really not have been pacing in that large of a group. Weird strategy.

In the end though, 6th is in the range of where JJ should have ended up anyway, so it's still a decent piece of scoring and we can't be too frustrated with the performance. Fabbro seemed to have mistimed his efforts a bit there, but hes not a puncheur and I'm just glad one of our guys followed the winning move.

Thanks for a great report and congrats to Fabianski!

In the break and 23rd is pretty much the best possible outcome I would have expected so nice job by Hoehn.

Congrats to Fabianski for the big win and thanks for the report.

Banana Grande Gianni! Banana

What a comeback on the final meters! I guess resistance and likely also mountain stats made the difference here - great show!

And it's not only our first win of the season - it's the first win in a one-day race of our team history! After two second places in C2HC races, he finally claimed the win, beating both Kelderman and a Carrefour rider (as we were beaten by Chamorro in Laigueglia). Congrats to Quevedo, though, really surprising podium!
And well, it wasn't Marco who reported the race, so Kelderman actually couldn't win Pfft
I first was happy that this time it wasn't Gianni who launched the decisive attack as in Laigueglia, but then had mentally settled for 3rd or even "just" a Top 5 when he dropped back on the final kilometer - but he even pulled off the win - amazing!

The rest of the team did a great job as well, on one hand actively participating in the chase, and finally bringing 4 more riders into the Top 30! The only thing that hurts is Pernsteiner losing contact so early, as he should definitely have been able to get more than a 20. place. Maybe it was the two-leaders issue - but well, I won't complain when we win the race! Great day for the team!

And thanks for the report, Nemo! You're really doing a great job!

Finally, thanks for all the congrats Smile I think it was time that we actually won something this year Wink

Thanks for the thanks, all Smile

Was a fun race to report on, looking at my friends from the CT (and seven challengers from the PCT of course). Really thought it was for Kelderman or Edmondson at the end, but the way Moscon recovered was extraordinary, haven't seen that before in pcm to be honest. Also great comeback for Quevedo after trailing the group under the red kite, while Zordan lost over two minutes on that last climb but with a small miracle just stays inside the top-10, which was a Guave's sponsor goal. I can understand Abhishek's disappointment with a rider like Kelderman who's clearly the best puncheur, strong physics and a decent mountain skill, so I'm happy he at least managed a podium and didn't finish somewhere around thirteenth.

Looking forward to my next C2 race, as we all know that's where the party's at Cool

Thanks for the amazing report Nemolito! Super happy with Quevedo storming back like that, he's really been on one this season after having to split the leading puncheur duties last season which has been great to see.

Congrats though to fabianski, big points for the promotion fight!

Congrats Centovalli on the win, for a second it looked like Frankiny was going to hold on but I'm still really happy with a top 5, looks like I gauged the profile correctly when choosing to send him as leader and leave Anuar Aziz at home.

I kept having to remind myself to look for the red Swiss champions jersey instead of a Sauber Jersey, hopefully I remember better in Frankiny's next race.

I knew it would be a bad race when I saw Oelerich in the break...

Thanks for the report, gratz to Centovalli.
