Congrats cio! After all the hard work chasing breakaways and the ill luck in terms of AI tactics, this is a thoroughly deserved victory.

OK, I just moved the team standings to a separate post. Shouldn't be too much of a spoiler if you arrive on that one first

Had Van Poppel been able to follow that wheel this could have been a very different story. This was he ends up even without a podium.

Damn it, so close. Centimeters were missing for what would have been a great victory that would aid us a lot in the rankings and maybe even get us closer to getting Demare next season as Van Stayen replacement
Congrats cio, it was time!
I'm very happy about Eislers' performance here. I guess he delivers exactly what could be expected from someone with his stats - often losing the wheel of the top sprinters just to be the fastest on the final meters. Very satisfied with how well he was able to be in the right wheels in the sprint preparation. Another 2nd place for Evonik is awesome and I'm happy to take that home. Really cant complain about what my riders delivered so far. Can't see him competing for the podium in the points classification though as despite the new points tables for flat stages, this looks to be solely the fight of Demare vs climbers.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Zhao finally with a top 10. Thats a great result for him, and atleast gives us a few more points.
Finally Demare wins

Nizzolo follow the teams efforts pretty well by constantly underperforming according to simulator sprinters.
Oh well, I guess we Can just write off this race and every chance og us regaining 1st place in the PT again this season. It was nice while it lasted.
Congrats cio!

Congratulations, cio!
And thank you for another superb report, Fabianski. Can't really repeat that often enough
But now, it's all eyes on the thrilling GC fight that awaits. Fingers crossed for a great daily form on Taaramäe in the TT! |

Finally a win for Demare, there couldn't be a more deserving winner, congrats cio!
Not good enough from Hsu there, unfortunately. |

An unexpected point for Cavagna, great job!
Arndt and Mager can attack now.

Pretty much as expected. Chiarello climbs a bit, Budenieks loses tons and can hopefully attack again (and still is 2nd in U25 classification!), everyone else sucked as expected, we dropped massively in the team classification but are still within reach of the podium if we happen to get into some succesful breaks.
Tomorrow the race should start properly with the favourites hopefully attacking Malecki for the first time. For my own team that means that we have to protect Chiarello as well as go into breaks every day - ideally with at least two members and i also want to see Vosekalns in action there for sure. I wouldnt mind seeing Chiarello in those either as long as he is accompanied by further Evonik rider(s) so that he doesnt have to work all day long.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Not a special day for Haig, but the result is okay. Wohler surprisingly did better. Not much worth something, but at least he showed himself that way.

When my own team is shit it’s nice to atleast enjoy a Coppel win! Big congrats! :-)
Bongiorno dropping to 16th. I think when “joking” I said 17th.
I Can hope the he is now so far back that he will be going for KOM and stage hunting. I doubt it though...

Well cant really complain about 5th. If he can hold on to that I will be very happy. 5th in a GT for Shikai, if someone told me that at the start of the year I would take it for sure. Not a bad result on the stage as well.

That's a very, very, very good TT by Taaramäe! Gaining significant time on every GC rider, even taking more than 30 seconds on Kritskiy, is better than hoped for. Also being up to 2nd in the GC is promising, though, it's a long way to go to both get enough time back on Malecki, which I'm not at all sure of, but also to keep all other GC contenders behind.
Brilliant TT report, Fabianski! |
