Our GC aspirations has taken a hit with both Uwizeyimana and Scarponi losing a bit much time there. Breakaways will likely be the road to success for us again, and Vichot racking up 26 KoM points is a good start. Hopefully we can continue to be visible.

I am much much worse - should've listened to you about Preidler
I think you should just send him to hilly/mountain classics and stage races with no TT. Otherwise, as his TT is so awful, the game doesn't treat him as a GC favourite, so he's badly placed in the bunch all the time and getting dropped in every split

I'd agree, but HKC says this isn't the issue for him

Warbasse went from hero to zero there pretty quickly. Gotta assume he just didn't have the legs, which is pretty unfortunate. Wanted him to at least hold on to the back, but it seems he couldn't crawl back once the gap went.
Thanks for the report!

Great first day for us with Gesink up there in bonifications and all our Asian lieutenants doing well too. Pretty sweet!
Congratulations jandal, Bennett seems like he heard you!

Oh, I would never want to lure Areruya down to CT, for a muppet I am not! However, short visits make long friends, and if and when we achieve promotion, maybe he'll remember that we've had his back all along ... But for now, I'm glad that my cuzzie takes such good care of him
Now Uwizeyimana needs to step his game up though. Would be super cool to see two Rwandans in GC contention here!

That NZ slang bit made me crack up, so worth the effort of bugging my house to find out how I talk Nemo
And on top of that we did alright I guess I mean what a first stage Bennett once again showing for whatever reason his specialty is medium hilltop finishes rather than mountains (ToME 2018, Japan 2019, Pologne 2020) which I am more than ok with and was hoping for in this particular race and with a brilliant sprint to win and take yellow Areruya also doing very well giving me great hope of his capability in a support role to help defend the GC lead or at the very least do ok himself, nice to have him in white, and also Meurisse also on a s.t. finish giving us the Teams Classification lead for now. Obviously both should be focused on helping Bennett first but if they can get some eventual GC points themselves it sounds good to me!
Thanks for the report Nemo, really looking forward to the rest (not just because we are at the center of the action now... but that does help after our passivity in the last few races )

Good enough result for Mareczko, probably outscoring Bonifazio throughout the season.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Preidler disappoints again - oh well, here's Canelon in Top 3 to provide a beacon of hope then

Ehhh we got stage points I guess? Really disapointing sprint from our set up here, hopefully it improves in the coming days.

More screen time than I expected on the flat day. Not always for good reasons, but ultimately we lost nothing. Nice to see our boy from Curacao doing big work and getting a combativity award.

Tbh I was expecting this stage to be more selective but Gesink is still doing well and the team llooks pretty solid so can't complain.
Nice victory for Kump, congrats WJ! Thanks again Nemo!

The good news is that Preidler didn't lose time
The bad news is that Preidler is way behind.

Solid ride by David De la Cruz with Tatarinov and Denz within striking distance of GC points.
Congrats to WhiteJersey, Kump nailed it, and thanks to Nemo for another great report.

GET IN KUMP! Need more of those performances and maybe there's hope that we survive! Thanks for the report and to Dave and Gustav.
I think this stage is really one that you'd expect to be more selective than it was but really happy to be on the good end of it tho!

Even though Siskevicius got totally violated by Kump, second podium in three stages is fantastic

Cool to see all of our guys in the first group. Other than that, not much going on for us today. Congrats to WJ, great win by Kump.
