Thanks, ringo. Think it’s the best option too, saw it on George’s Twitter that he’s trying to get it ready tonight but there are still tons of teams without a confirmed squad so that wouldn’t be an easy task to choose a team on such short notice. |

I think we should just leave it at the Vuelta.
Clamel has an unassailable lead in the Women's game and the inclusion of this race at such short notice might catch too many players out.
I can't see any mention of it yet on the Velogames website.
The Vuelta is the final race of the 2020 Velogames Season.
Cheers All
Ringo
Ringo, first I must congrat you for your new arrival. Haven't been on the site for awhile, but still struggled on putting teams up on the VG. Guess it has been a bit succesful, at least with the ladies.
OK, this Mallorca Challenge popped up and whatever the standings I think it is almost impossible to get a team in and for enough off us to notice it. It would have been a skeleton crerw fighting for a win.
Then thanks for a fantastic year that has been so troublesome. I bank you Ringo, will remember it for the joy more than the mayham that has been caused.
Too many off us have had trouble getting teams into many of the races, me too in Superclassic missing two legs on that. I do hope next season will be better for this competition. It is a strong league we got. I do miss IanRussell and his skills, that would have done the fight even harder at the top. Lets hope all of us can get back next year.
Sadly we will not have the start we are used to with TDU scratched.
Fingers crossed for next season mates. I hope you Ringo can put it together even if the new arrival will demand much attention. It's an event highly praised by me and sure lots more.
Now lets see how we close books for the year. Guess I ran away with the women, and the overall most important leaderboard is up for grabs in an exciting Vuelta finish to decide it.
Best of luck to you all.

I think that's definitely the right move. There are only two of us with teams in women's race.

I think most people are just burned out by all the racing in the last 3 months
I just couldn't be arsed to pick another team.

Thanks Clamel
Yep, the Championship will definitely be back next year. Hopefully with a full (and more spread out) racing calendar and list of PCMDaily competitors.

Hi All
Sorry for the delay but I finally got around to updating the league table following La Vuelta!!!
Firstly, congrats to Laco11 who followed up his overall win at the Giro with an overall win at the Vuelta. Maybe if he can carry that form into next season we could have a new contender.
Congratulations to Clamel who is the overall champion 2020. He held off the defending champion ember, who finished 2nd, with Banesi rounding off the podium. Gargatouf, Murfi and LaChouffe also finished with very good overall scores.
Clamel was also victorious in the women's race this season. Only two events took place this year (the Giro Rosa and the Classics Game) and Clamel won by a distance from ember, murfi and Tamijo who tied for second.
Ember does get some soncolation by finishing as the winner of the men's races, beating Clamel into second by just 5 points. Again Banesi finished 3rd.
I hope you enjoyed playing again this year. It was a bit of a slog at the end and I think most players missed out on at least 1 race or stage of the classics games due to the tight schedule. I missed the Tirreno Adriatico, the Giro Rosa and several races in the classics game this year. Given that I'm quite happy to have finished 15th overall.
Hopefully next season will look a bit more normal, however with the Tour Down Under already cancelled it could be another season with an irregular calendar. Hopefully I'll see all next year for another season of the PCMDaily Velogames Championship.
Right, I'm off to get some sleep.
Cheers

Thanks for keeping this up during a troubled year for sure.
I feel like winning a limping competition when I guess so many missed races,as I did myself.
Still can't deny I had a very good year and hope to keep it up whenever next season actually begins.
My best wishes and an early Merry Christmas friends.
See you all next season.

Belated congratulations Clamel and a (hopefully) happy(er) New Year to you all. No less an achievement for winning in such changing times, in fact it probably makes it all the more challenging.
Well done on keeping it all together in the chaos of 2020 Ringo!

Looks like Velogames have taken a new focus on this now ongoing season.. Talks on twitter about Strade Bianchi.
Will we be on for another exciting year. Doesn't look like we are going to get rid of Covid-19 that easy, but Velogames and our internal competition was a nice light in a long tunnel last year, as it has been for some years now.
Ringo, lets hope you still got the enormous energy to once more direct this battle.
It has been so fun for sure and I will have to fight very hard to defend my title from last year.

Evening All
Due to current working conditions (been working from home for the last 12 months) and the arrival of daughter number 2 over the winter, I don't think Im going to have scope to keep on top of running the PCMDaily Velogames Championship this year.
Happy for someone else to take over the reigns of keeping the scores. Could be a good opportunity for someone to make any changes they might want to bring in.
I think the season starts at the Strafe Bianchi next weekend, so you've got a week to get set up.
If no-one else steps up then I may take it back up next season once everything is a bit more settled down at home and work.
Sorry for the short notice. And thanks and good luck in advance to anyone who's interested in taking it up. I'll probably still try to enter teams throughout the season.
Cheers

Ringo, I'm happy for you and the family you started up. I know on own experience how two young kids can take up all of your free time and then some. Don't like to scare you but you got many busy years ahead, not just a couple mate.
But they are so fun and looking back you just wondering how fast they past and then those little kids pop back in with their own offsprings.
It's the cycle of life.
You have run a very nice thing here and for that we are many to salute you for it. I do hope someone will pick it up in some form, and perhaps you do find time next year to step back. Do keep records and stats in good order until that time comes.
Little do we know how long this terrible situation will last, but lets hope everything gets back in some sort of old way.
As you can figure out I got too little time left on my schedules to try and step in as a sub. Got those offsprings to think on
Taking on this task will need 110% commitment and no slack. That I can sadly not give. Last year I had even a hard time to get entries in, so surprised it played out as good as it did for me.
Once more
Thanks for time you put in and hope you could squeeze in time in the future.
Best of luck to you mate.
