Absolutely nothing going on in the peloton with the favorites. What a waste of a final week by the organizers.

Some bad blood left between Carapaz and Movistar?
Or was just another piece of brilliant tactics by them?

It was a good final few km's but in the end it was far too late. Needed one more mountain stage in the final week here.

Ofc there is bad blood between them, they fired all their riders linked to the same agent as the carapaz one.
Upside: No ineos GT win.
Downside: Roglic urgh fml

If it was 21 stages as usual, Roglic would have thrown the victory again. But congratulations to him. Nice of Ineos to become No. 1 and 2 in GT’s without their three best GT riders were in shape. |

That was amazing payback from Movistar to Carapaz
I have nothing against Carapaz, he reminds me a lot Sastre who was one of my favorite riders. |

Welp, there's the Vuelta. Tight sprint to finish it off by the slimmest of margins. Terrific leadout work from Bora and Ackermann just pushed Bennett slightly to the left enough to stop him from getting around in time. Bennett was definitely missing that last gear.
Had some great racing for the first two weeks, and then the last week's route made it kind of anticlimactic.
Very proud of Dan Martin for getting his GT top 5. He looked really good until yesterday. I know he focuses on the Tour most years, but I'd really like to see a season from him before he falls off where he focuses almost entirely on Ardennes and Vuelta. I think he could win some classics and maybe podium in this race if he structured his year around it, but at 34 the clock is ticking.
