Love-hate relationship with MG for the last few weeks so I'm happy planner is sent and accepted, this should be a rough season but nonetheless I liked the planning quite a bit, hoping for 0 mistakes in the cobbles to make sure I can remain in PCT whilst developing some talents myself.

This is gonna be a long day for me. I know I do this every year, but yeah, selected races without looking at the clashes. I'm especially ashamed for my PT wildcards, will be my C team for San Remo and Giro.
Yep me too - C squad to Chrono des Herbiers as it clashes with other races and I would prefer that Sergent picks up points in the PCT race than 0 points in a wildcard race

This is one of the reasons we need to have a look at how PCT>PT wildcards work

I reckon this situation could be avoided pretty easily by forcing wild cards applicants to select the squads for the races they apply for already in the wild card selection file. This way managers have to check clashes etc. prior to applying.

Not even that, but in the WildCard Priority file we just put in the clashing races. Gives managers a quick visual to check at that stage and if a race won't be possible they can not apply for that one.
That's easier than having to try and do your race planning early and multiple times.
Although i would be in favour of changing the WildCard process to include more of a rider/squad based selection vs the current "when did you last ride a PT race" system. But still with the above change to the priority file

The Wilcards depend on the priority though - CdH for me was 4th choice (not the best example) but there might be case where someone gets their 10th priority race. Supplying a squad to all your wildcard choices will slow the process.
I had full intentions of having Sergent present for CdH, that's why I had it 4th on my list. However, when I planned it out last night I noticed he would have to be elsewhere as points are more important given that I am newly promoted team.

Well I picked all wildcards that didn't clash or minimal clashed with my other races. It's not that difficult to check by yourself.
Although in the end I also got Copenhagen TTT which I didn't apply for and it clashes

Race clash information is already available in the calendar file, and in the race profiles forum, so two options for PCT managers to consult against, without requiring more admin work to redesign the Wildcards file just to indicate information managers should already have. And clash information that will then need more updating each year than the simple PT race list.
Asking for lineups would also then further complicate the file - and time taken for both the PCT teams to complete, and on the admin side for processing it. And then particularly so in terms of allocation, if it moves from being algorithmic to very much more subjective. And then further checks if the idea is that teams are obliged to stick with those lineups.
Anyway - that's more a discussion for a Suggestions thread, not a planners thread. Not long left now for the remaining teams to meet the Planners deadline.
