Very nice stage. Hirschi was very impressive but great attack and sprint by Alaph. I wasn't a fan of him when he first came up, mostly because I saw him as a rival to Martin, but he has made me into a fun because of his aggression and passion. Impossible not to love the way he lights up a race.

Martinez already out from GC battle, Higuita wasting too much in sprints?

Allezphilippe, wonder how far maillot jaune can carry him this year or if organizers already think about stopping the race?
Hopefully good racing upcoming in next days

That sprint by Ewan was almost as spectacular as that one by Gaviria some years ago at the Giro and on both occasions Bennett was the victim.

Brilliant final few kilometres from Jumbo, WVA, Kuss and then Roglic all beasted it with perfect efforts and a very nice stage win for Rogla, I know this is an ice cold take, but I think he might be in good form recently
Nice to see all three Mitchelton climbers looking in decent nick as well, looking forward to what they each have to offer as the race goes on
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

So before we had one super team. Now we have another.
That was a bizarre climb. Reminded me of an old PCM mountain sprint with everyone out the saddle just to keep up. I used to say that was unrealistic...

WVA is too Good! Quintana and Pogacar get married in the high mountains and must be among the biggest favorites for the podium. Roglic wins |

I'm sure it has to have happened before, but can anyone remember a Tour stage without any attackers whatsoever?

Maybe the 1998 stage after the Festina-raid?

Shouldn't Wout Poels be told to go home? It's really hard for me to see him suffer so badly... |

Finishing 17th on such a stage just ahead of the main GC contenders, also a classic move for someone who's just trying to go for a stage win
