So what does everyone think are the chances of the Tour actually lasting the full 3 weeks? France seems to be struggling to control the virus at the moment. I can see it being cut short. Or at least not finishing in Paris with the last stage cancelled.
Some teams have already started talking of trying to take the Yellow Jersey early in case the Tour suddenly gets cancelled half way through.
No one want a situation like this, but when it is as it is may bring a extra layer of suspence to the race, not only the yellow jersey but every jersey and every position on the GC leaderboard can freeze at any point in the race. So teams will have to think aggressively on a daily basis, can't wait for later stages to save a bad start.

This can be very tricky looking at the hardness of third week.

The non-sensical 2 positives and the team's out rule has been scrapped. Good thing, no idea what kind of bureaucrat came up with that bs.

............. and the expected great start by Pinot as well, I'll be amazed if he makes it to the third week.

Not the race we expected, too much chaos and sad they had to neutralize the best section (although I think is was a good call)
Nice finish from Kristoff and Pedersen - Vikings rule in bad weather

Kind of weird to me that the breakaway is so weak (comparatively) on a stage like today. Lots of mountain points on offer and if the peloton is hesitant, a possibility for yellow. Would have thought that was more enticing for stronger climbers.

Nice ride by Hirschy, nearly did it at the death.
Also, Jumbo...dont believe the press. Ineos and Astana are still the two dominant teams.
MAKE THEM WORK.
Painful to see the boys in yellow to be so naive today. |
