Similar to the PCT lots of CT racing lately. 10 C1 events clearly the main part followed by 4 C2 events.
Main points though coming from 3 C2HC events with 2 teams actually scoring in HC even. One of them actually pretty good.
In the last ranking NENT was leading with Euskaltel and Azteca close behind them while also Netia and GCN have had a gap to the rest. Will we see the top5 slowly gapping the others or is any other team able to move upwards a lot?
HC & C2HC
Cheshire actually saw a solid Tryg performance with 71 points with GCN`s 4 points not really worth it.
The other 3 events are C2HC with the ITT event, the Tour de Faso and the climber fest in Vancouver.
Scoring very well in all 3 C2HC races was Azteca. 300 points and pure domination by Eastman and co in Vancouver, 191 points in Faso by actually their second squad around Richardson and Orue and strong 80 points in the ITT. This easily is best of all teams and in fact more than twice of what Tryg did score with Cheshire already counted as well.
GCN also with decent scoring in Faso and Vancouver just like CYBEX and Bianchi with Glanbia profiting from a strong ITT performance.

C1
Basically same couple of C1 races as in the PCT update. But with a lot less total scoring for the CT teams.
Worth mentioning a few performances e.g. Netia in Japan or South Africa with their main scoring here. 226 in total being best of the CT teams.
DK Zalgiris next with decent scores in Romandie, Andorra and the TTT while Adastra in basically the same races also doing well.
No other team with more than 100 points in those with Bianchi though doing well in Arenberg, Centovallie in Romandie or NENT in Japan.
4 teams actualyl not scoring anything in those C1!

C2
Just 4 races in C2 but almost same kind of scoring as in those 10 C1 events.
Bianchi best of the teams but also taking part in all 4 and in fact not a single superior performance but depth in all of them.
Similar with NENT in all but Tropicale.
Azteca in Trentino and McCormick in Tropicale with the most dominant performances in those races.

Full Ranking
NENT had no answer to Azteca`s domination in the big events in C2HC.
They drop to 2nd but still looking good for promotion while Azteca is the new leader and in projections being superior now.
In 3rd Euskaltel but in projections actually behind both Netia and GCN. Those former top5 remain actual top5 still though and in projections no team able to really challenge them, in especially as all the next used couple more rd so far.
If having a big race left though Bianchi, CYBEX or Adastra likely the teams that could make the jump just like OMV or DK Zalgiris.
Further down Eddie Stobart still in the dead last spot while Equinor, Ventovalli, Glanbia or BNZ remain down there as well.

Amateurs
Adriatic remains first with Signal Iduna and La Vie Claire swapping positions.
Biggest jump though from Festina into the top5 and point wise in especially by VIP Mobile, which scored 59 points this period which finally was more than their 1 point before. In especially their Tropicale performance was one of the best amateur performances all year but actually topped by Adriatic in the very same race, which saw a total of 160 points for those amateur teams.
Signal Iduna`s 46 points in Frankfurt Eschborn another huge performance.
Holloway and Kwiatkowski was the duel for quite some time with Pinot, Faiers, Nibali up there as well.
But after this update we see a new name. Eastman after his Vancouver domination is the new leader and jumping up from 12th. Additional points in Trentino as well for him.
Also Maes up to 6th from 22th being the best cobbler now!
Intxausti from 13th to 9th but seeing expectations, he might still be far too low while Moser is the best sprinter in 10th next to Holloway, who is the dominating one really.
Kasperkiewitz and Van Keirsbulck just outside the next best cobblers while Luke Keough following being another small surprise, in especially as the fastest on paper follow ~10 spots later only such as Mohs and also Azteca`s Estaban Chaves in 25th could have been expected higher.
Decent run for us even though there were some utterly disappointing races. Benat still has 3 races in which he should score maybe 100 extra points if things go right. He prolly couldve easily been top 2 had I chose to ride amongst boys instead of men. I think rest of calender is fairly favorable to us, with such small gaps in upper midtableI reckon 7th is definitely doable.
And Hofer being 31st individually is utter madness, thanks for the gimmie Heine
We finally hit our stride, in a monster month of the season for us, Eastman dominating a division, which he probably should be doing. The surprises have been the success of Luke Keough which has really helped stabilize the team in the sprints, something we really weren't expecting, and the cobbles trio we have has done their part being effective for some points in their races.
Sadly the weak link so far seems to be Chaves, which is maybe the biggest surprise as we enter an era not suited for pure punchuers as he really should be a very capable rider as his climbing prowess is still very solid. Tomorrow will be a big day in San Luis for our 11th and 12th ranked Chaves/Squire duo that carry good climbing with their hill ratings (76/79 and 77/77).
Glad to see Netia on track even if they probably should be higher. Hopefully they keep it going and roll back on up to the PCT.
Decent months for Signal Iduna, the highlights obviously including Mirac Kal's ride in Frankfurt and (if this ranking includes it) Naesen's win in De Panne, and so we're still not out of the title chase yet but Adriatica are making it hard. Really enjoying having an amateur team even if I don't manage/remember to comment on every race
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant." [ICL] Santos-Euskadi | [PT] Xero Racing
My strategy was to have a rider who could achieve our season goals - him being super is kind of a bonus.
Ironically although Holloway has been great he hasn't achieved any of our goals yet because none of them have occurred. If we don't meet them I will be left with mixed feelings.
12th is far from our early season highs but I'll take it, would rather not drop any further. Thanks for the update,
We're on track for promotion, so I'm happy I guess given I don't have any real invested in us beating CT teams with a PCT squad otherwise (especially given we have default planning not done by me where we send 6 guys to every race and we still are 4th). Thanks for the update!
To be honest this is still really fine. Placement goal for the season was a top 10 with a focus on promotion, as long as that is required I am pretty happy. Thanks for the update!
Really need to keep this up until the end of the season. It is close now, but the PpRD means there is a massive gap on the projected. September is out big month with the Tour of America so I expect it to be close until then...
