It was always going to be a tough race. Having two finishers is quite the feat though, so I'll take that as a sucess.
Congratulations on the victory and thanks for the report Kentaurus!

Wow, super tough race. Debesay went in with the right tactics of staying within himself and rewarded with the solid top 10 spot he is capable of if and needs to be getting more often. I know Xero riders don't like consistent boredom but I don't mind it here, especially with a decent finish from our other African renaissance man Bester picking up a few points. A shame Areruya couldn't quite finish his home race but he's never going to love the Mur de Kigali unfortunately, and this might be his last time here. Time for the MGUCI to organise a proper MO/HI Tour de Rwanda (can replace Eritrea since Kudus is locked in the PT by Repsol ) for him in the next couple of seasons I think
Congrats Bushwackers, awesome win for Spengler in his debut maxed season!

That was a total AI disaster. Biggest group of rider finishing together seems to be 3. Cobbles have not been nice to me lately. Thanks for the report!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I think the AI was great. The Mur de Kigali is absolutely carnage and that's well reflected here the AI was exactly what I hoped for looking at the race in the calendar

I thought Fenn pulled a masterstroke and had the race in the bag with 40km to go, then gets caught 8km later lol
This wasnt a target race for us really so I'll take 12th and 15th for the minor points, shame Fenn couldn't hang on really but it was worth the effort!

Nolf? NOLF???? Are you fricking kidding me? That guy was absolutely useless for two years. Now he can beat VSB on one of the hardest days of the season. smh
Congrats to UBS and Spengler. Was hoping hill would have a bigger impact here, but it doesn't seem like that was to be in the result. A hard fought victory.
This was a win goal, and everything was in our favor. As I predicted, we did not win, and that kind of pisses me off considering how the race went, I'm gonna be honest. Considering the race was won on pure strength, he should have been the strongest on paper. But luck is another factor.
That being said, 3rd is still a consistent, good result from him, and the 6th place from Sinkeldam helps boost it. This is the first time Ramon has had a legitimately noteworthy performance, and it was a good time for it. Something tells me if I had held onto Nolf, they would have both been around 30th.
Thanks for an awesome report Kent!

It shouldn't end in a group sprint, but the gaps were a bit too much imho

Outrageous to not see Baugnies with 5 helpers at 60km left drilling the pace and eating cobbles.
Great report, Kent!
