Bobridge is a joke in this game. What a waste of race days aka money for him this is. Wow.
At least Dyball is giving us some hope for points.

Zordan somewhat saving the race, sadly didnt get the win but climbs to 2nd on KOM, and imo has a legitimate shot to net it, let's pray.

Another great day for Stüssi and Vasyliv!
It would've been perfectly acceptable to get distanced on such a hard ridden stage, especially for the former, but they're both still very much in the mix.
Arrate will be an entirely different beast and will surely spread out the GC way more, but if they both manage to position themselves as well as today again and survive the cat.1 before that and make it to the base in the peloton, it'll be somewhat easier to remain on good GC positions at the end of the race.
If we were to take a Top 10 and a Top 15 from this race, plus two Top 50s from Hadi and Bevin and team points (great job by Hadi today to advance us in that ranking), I would be extremely satisfied with the points tally and especially the way we rode.

Kinoshita tried to make the race hard, so cant really complain too much, although it ended up hurting Rolland and not really changing much for himself. 4th is still a possibility though.

Cheers I was hopeful for a surprise win from Flügel but not today.
Gonzalez Cortes Kraftwerks best GC rider again! But outside the top 20.
Can Scheit and Denz defend their KOM and U25 positions on the last day?

Of course Dyball also got toasted. What a sh**show and it's quite frustrating to know, that Bobridge ain't worth a thing this year.
Thanks for the reports though.

Fantastic race from Beltran to finish 2nd in GC, 2nd in Points standings and grab a stage win
I feared the TTT, ITT and lack of support (22nd team standings) would be a problem, but he limited his losses against the clock and rode a brilliant race
Congrats to Generali, they thoroughly dominated this race
Commiserations to everyone whose leaders were affected by the game change, far too many imo
Thanks you Tamijo for all the detailed reports

Senni is just amazing in these kinds of races, so far my only rider who handled the transition really well. Congrats Generali and also Swisslion and thanks to Tamijo for the great reports!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

At this point we can bury all hopes for the Top5 and start the struggle against relegation, cause 2/3 captains just don't work in PCM18. |

I said I'd love a Top 10 and a Top 15 from Stüssi and Vasyliv, and that's exactly what we got today.
Too bad both have just left the U25 ranks this season, otherwise we would've easily swept that jersey.
Sadly, Bevin wasted energy and couldn't keep his Top 50, while Hadi did but just couldn't quite finish high enough to keep us in the team Top 4.
Obviously it would've been amazing had Stüssi been able to keep his spot among the very best, but that was never to be expected.
13th overall is still a very fine result and makes me look forward to his maxed out form next season even more. He should be stronger than Vasyliv is now, with +3TT, +1RES and +2REC offsetting -1HIL and -1STA and very similar minor stats. That'll definitely result in a wage increase from the current 50k!
On the other hand, said Vasyliv rode a very good stage and a good race overall besides his stage 3 effort. Even finishing just one group further up there would've meant 8th overall, and actually switching his stage result with Stüssi's would've propelled him all the way to 4th.
But all in all, we can't complain about those what if's though, since we could've easily left Basque Country without anything of value. 10th and 13th in GC combine to 102 points, which pretty much equals what the 5th placed rider gets.
Additionally, the second place by Vasyliv in the TT was amazing
To wrap this up, thank you Tamijo for these quality reports, and congrats to Generali who take the expected GC victory away from this.
Thank you to the PCT teams completing the podium too, always appreciated when you keep the big guns from scoring!
And finally, again a big sorry to everyone rightfully expecting more of their leaders in this race and this season in general.

Well 3rd is certainly better than 4th which is kind of what I was hoping for, so I am quite happy with the result. Kinoshita didnt really show his strength but he stayed with the lead groups when required and our TTT helped out as well!
Thanks for the reports!

This has been another horrific stage race for us, and relegation is clearly staring at us |

No they didn't
Not sure about the team tactics, when Scheit made it into the break we send the entire team up to "help" him?
Its going to be a long season watching the PCM18 MG stat combo play out.
Congrats to matt and thanks to Tamijo for the excellent reports.
