Yes! nice effort from Ponzi and superb to see. I really really doubt 30 seconds is enough, but lets see. Dunno if the final stage will be hard enough for us to do an impact in, so if I had to guess, then we would need to be in the lead after the next stage to win, I dont think there's much more else to do. Also dunno how much 8 TT's difference will be equal to over 9 km

Perfect job by the team in the breakaways so far. Mosca with the KoM lead, filling the role we thought of him coming into the season, hopefully he can retain the jersey till the end

Nice to see our team so present on any ends of the race. But Bobridge losing this race ain't good at all! Top-10 should be gone now. Also the KoM lead gone, not the best day for us.
Dennis still hanging on though and also the team's classification lead, that's great. If Dennis can keep up I'm the final stage, he would definitely make up for Bobridge's failure. But I'm not sure. Both riders will probably suffer on that final day.

Back to anonymity on our part, after that desperate chase back in the peloton. Would at least have hoped Oss or Amezawa would have tried an attack after that, especially when others went clear, but no. Weird stuff! |

One stage to go and I do share the frustrations as posted by a few - the race has disappointed me in terms of what PCM18 has to offer, and the way it is playing out for a stage race that I always would like to see the puncheurs fighting for the win.
Wirtgen's performance is amazing, to be now 5th overall, with 3rd on the stage. It's very surprising to me, as I did not expect anything more than a finishing-only 40 point race for Vesuvio, and safe to report without any riders suddenly being up there.

well thats the hopes of the GC gone..I know theres still one stage left, but a 76 TT rider actually winning the prologue stage, can only mean that the daily form is through the roof. The stage is not hard either and hard to create any difference on, so yeah it seems to be a 2nd stage

Vlatos as 82nd illustrates the horrible performance perfectly.

What a disappointing race this is for Bobridge... Terrible. If that's, what he will do with this game engine, we will have a problem.
Dennis with a solid TT at least. Kinda need a passive final stage now, even if Bobridge should be one of those to try something. But now he needs to ride for Dennis.

With the climb, I'd say it was relatively hard for a 9km TT. But either way, I viewed it as much about the impact of fatigue/recovery. Hence why a lot of the early starting time triallists were surpassed by the higher GC riders in the stage results. That surely did contribute to Vlatos' result, he'd finished a distant last on one of the big hill stages.

Look at that, we can do some TT after all. 20th, 25th and 34th is surprising
Just not hope Oss saved himself all race to do that, and go aggressive on the final stage. Also hope Amezawa can join the fun again, although I suspect the quality of the riders aiming for the breakaway will be a little bit too high.
Should be a very interesting fight for the overall win, hoping several riders go for it and attack Sicard's lead, not gambling on a sprint. |

Very happy with how our loanee Niklas Eg is racing so far. Still one stage to go, but hopefully he can manage to stay in the top 30.

Well, if Prado can somehow survive that last stage around the main group... some excellent results from him already, so can't really complain at all! PCM18 AI is not really impressing me though, if only Cyanide could just copy PCM06 AI into the current graphics engine, that version would be almost perfect for MG...
Huge thanks for fantastic reports, SN!

Expected lose of positions for Buchmann on the TT, now I hope he can take some time back on the last stage. Still would be happy with a top 10 before the race, so I wont complain

Good way to finish an otherwise lousy race for us, but yet again dissapointing AI from the leaders with no real effort to create gaps.

Thank you for your quality reports through the whole race, SN!
Nice to see Amezawa have a go at it, but many superior puncheurs joining had to be expected on the final day of racing. We go home from this race with nothing regarding the ranking points, but that's no less than what we expected, so I can't complain. On the contrary, seeing Amezawa riding this aggressive and getting to join the breakaway twice, was nice to see. A bit unfortunate we couldn't make the jump to the breakaway on the stage where we chased them down early on, but not much to do about it.
Congratulations on the overall win, CrueTrue! No doubts it's different times regarding the AI with PCM18. Having a stage racer and climber - more than a puncheur - win a stage race designed for puncheurs is quite something. |

Cant be happy with the race overall, I knew that it was too late after stage 6 to chance the course of this GC, so 2nd is bittersweet. Overall I think I can already conclude that our stay in the PT will be made impossible. Looking at our talent, the race profiles and such I just dont see it. Anyways competing for victory in PT is still very fun , but it's not gonna be fun when it's our turn to do what say Mohoric did this race

That race was pure cancer from start to finish.
