[2019] Stat Gains, XP, Team Info, Wildcards
Tamijo
PT race choice for PTC, will be after transfers ?

roturn
Wildcards, yes.
Once all transfersheets are in.

I see that there are additional stat gains for sprinters, a "recovery bonus". Why is this actually?
And just to make sure I understand this correctly: Let's say Thomas Boudat (Level 3, 74 Spr, 69 Rec) reaches level 4. Then, with the "Sprinter" stat gain, he'd get +2 Rec. As he would reach 77 Spr, he would get an additional + 7 Rec (for both 74 -> 75 and 75 -> 76), so his Rec would be boosted to 78?

And do these additional gains apply to training as well? Next year, I'll get Lienhard back with 75 Spr. If I trained him the year after to reach Spr 76, would I still get the +3 Rec, or does this only apply to "regular" stat gains?

Sprinters get this additional recovery bonus, so that they are not useless at the end of a GT.

Yes, he is getting the regular 3->4 recovery as said in the file depending on his potential.
Then additionally the +3 +4 when making the jump for those stats.

Regarding training, this is a good question and not sure right now to be honest. Will need to ask SN for that how it was handled in the past.

Question: I've loaned out Strakhov with the 1->3 development clause/fee. He currently has 1.66 XP. And I never really fully understand the "XP gained from normal races is applied to a rider in an optimum fashion" rule:

How does it work, you get 3 XP points for C2 races as a Level 1 rider:
So after (12x3)+66=102 he become Level 2 (2.02 to be precise) after this moment is he now theoretically is a Level 2 rider and the rest of the season the XP gained are calculated as a Level 2 rider.

Or is a rider like Strakhov who started the season as a Level 1 rider, the whole season a level 1 rider, and all XP points this season are gained as a Level 1 rider. (to get to level 3 -> 200-66 = 134 XP points are needed -> at least 134/3(C2/Level1) = 45 C2 race days

First one.

Don't forget that if he is eligible and nominated when the thread goes up then the 20xp from avenir comes first.

has to do with reaching a certain XP level, so can't see how it will ever be connected to training. Training is after his has maxed out his XP levels

This recovery bonus only comes through stat gains.

Once they are maxed and training eligible, it`s just the regular 1 stat training without having impact on any other stat.

So training sprint from 74 to 75 or 75 to 76 only sprint will get a stat update, recovery remains the same.

Also, I think we had once established that sprint doesn't necessarily has to be the best stat of said rider to be eligible for the recovery bonus?

SportingNonsense
Yeh, it's not about training sprint only - if Sprint goes 74>75, or 75>76, by any stat gains method choice, the recovery boost is awarded.

Will a rider on level 1 go to level in the middle of the season, or will he go directly to level 3 at the end of the season?

Example: John Cyclist is level 1. He races a ton of days in C2 races, which give him 3 XP each. When he reaches 100 XP, will he level up, and that from that point on only gain 2 XP per C2 race or continue to gain 3 XP?

roturn
Stats only change after the season from 1-3 at once.

The math calculation though has him basically change to level 2 with many C2 race days and then calculates the level 2 xp race days from then.

So as in your example switching from 3 to 2 xp after some time.

Thanks. That makes my calculations way more difficult though. Grin

Just remember that xp is added in the best fit order, not the order the races are raced with avenir coming first.

Yes it does. Two more questions since the margins are fine:

1. Race days not races matter. So if on day 2 of a stage race a rider gains a level then the new XP value starts on day 3 of the race not the next race

2. One day races count as 2 race days for XP, pretty sure of that one but wanted to be positive.

roturn
1) That`s wrongly thought. It doesn`t matter how many days a race has and where the change is.
In the end of the season the whole calendar is checked and summarized as easy as possible. e.g. Avenir + 40rd in C2, 30rd in C1. Doesn`t matter if on any day or time during the calendar!
Then just 20xp for Avenir and as many C2 rd with 3xp until level 2. Then add remaining C2 race days and all C1 rd with level 2 xp.

2) yes Race days count. So classics give out 2rd.

Got it thanks. Much simpler. Was thinking calendar order mattered.

Ah okay. Cool. I thought, that they were counted differently from the day he gained 100 XP, and not accumulatively at the end of the season

Two more questions (thought I read about it somewhere, but can't find it anymore):

1) How are XPs counted on level-up? Let's say a rider starting with 1.00 rides Avenir (20XP) plus 27 C2 RDs. These C2 RDs would be worth 81XP, for a total of 101XP. Actually, the mathematical level-up would happen at 26.67 RDs. Now, are RDs always fully counted (i.e. rider would arrive at 2.01), or would the last 0.33 RD be counted for 2 XP/RD, making the rider get to 2.0067?
2) Which leads to the second question: How are half (or other fractional) XP rounded?

I guess in most cases it won't make a difference, but I prefer to be sure to fulfill my loan clauses.
