Also, this note showed up today:
NFL Fantasy standard scoring has been updated to PPR (Point-Per-Reception). All NFL-Managed leagues are now PPR. Custom league commissioners can change scoring settings under the Manage tab.
Do we change that back to standard scoring?
I think it lets you in maybe 30 mins before it starts. I also tried to change it back to standard scoring, I am not sure if it worked or not though.

I've read a bit over the past few days, and some semblance of a plan has formed in my head. Not sure yet how much strategy is going to factor in eventually though, and how much is just going to be picking based on liking someone or gut feelings But that's a fun part of it as well, I guess.
Just to make sure, where (and at what point) do I access the draft client? I found the test client, but I suppose the "real one" is going to be activated closer to the start of the draft?
Basically the same place. It will say "your draft is now live" or something like that. You can enter about 30 mins before.
It's all well and good to have a strategy, but don't be afraid to change things up. For instance, I always have a clear idea of when I am going to draft a QB, but if there's suddenly a run on QB's 2 rounds earlier, I might pull the trigger at that point instead. |

Please keep in mind that Andrew Luck retired yesterday and Lamar Miller tore his ACL...
There are also quite a few guys holding out due to contract disputes so make sure you know the situation before drafting someone on accident

That was a fun experience! Starting my first ever draft with the last pick in round one was maybe not what I had hoped for, but I'm reasonably happy with how it turned out. Juju and Conner are more than I had initially expected.
A few regrets maybe; in retrospect Hines in Rd 10 was probably not ideal, since both my starting WR have the same bye week maybe another WR (better than Deebo Samuel) might have been better in that spot. Especially after that Will Fuller snipe. But there's always FA and trades (by the way, are there any limitations on that?). Duke Johnson was probably the biggest disparity compared to his ADP, but he has a lot of potential I think. And the QB position is obviously ... interesting, with Lamar as my planned starter. Go big or go home, I guess
Are you guys happy with your drafts? And jseadog, where've you been?

First time with the first pick, wasn't expecting that.
There was a lot of waiting and hoping between picks, but I never really had any of the guys I wanted stolen from me. I got a bunch of players I genuinely like keeping tabs on, like anyone from the Lions (the team I support) or QB Carson Wentz (from the North Dakota State University and I'm currently living in North Dakota). So, very pleased in that aspect.
I'm a little weak at WR, but I got a bunch of useful RBs which is helpful with a 14-team league. I might be willing to trade a RB in the future for a productive WR.
Best of luck to everyone.

Well the official Fantasy Draft Recap has me at A+ and projected 2nd finish. So overall pretty good right?
Probably should have skipped either Saunders or Westbrook for a better RB, but it gives good trade ammo if needed, as well as week-to-week options to target the better matchups.
RB is definitely the week spot, but there was a strategy to target teams lacking a star RB in the hopes my guys might get a good number of snaps and establish themselves as the starting option on those teams.
And i mixed in a lot of teams to give me those week-to-week options, in the past i've focused on less teams only to be burned by struggles and bye's.
Had a good history of finding a surprised under-the-radar player. Hunt in his rookie year, Goff in his second, Thielen a couple of years ago. So hoping McKinnon or maybe Barber or Murray will be that guy again.
Roll on Week #1 for so many reasons!

Gonna be my first fantasy season - hopefully I've picked right but I feel this might be a massive learning curve for me here.
Predicted a B draft grade and a 3rd place finish so theres some excitement for me here, although I feel that my weakness could be my lack of RB depth and my WR core isn't the most impressive I feel
Good luck!

Supposedly I'm the favorite. Not sure why or how, and the pressure isn't great. but glad I made the draft at least.

Nerve-racking experience, had 4 picks stolen by teams 1 or 2 ahead which lead to some hasty decisions ... An MRI confirmed Lamar Miller has a torn ACL so praying Ingram and Fournette stay healthy.

I spent all week and all day reminding people about the draft only to literally forget all about this draft until I got the email grading my team at a B-.
I am very disappointed that I forgot about the draft but only have myself to blame. I am very weak at WR but very strong at RB. I have a quality QB and TE so I will see where the season leads me. The last 2 years I have been present for the draft and I finished bottom 3.
Hoping that the auto draft experience will lead me to a better finish. I am disgusted by the lack of talent I have at WR.

I am pretty satisfied. Ideally, I would like to have landed an every week TE, but I will have to do with streaming or a lucky punch. Pretty happy with starters and bench. Stacked some upside there. I will have to let two players go to get a DEF and a K though. We'll see come week 1.
And I have Famous Jameis to cheer for at Wembley |

So I'm projected to go 5-8 which will only be good for 10th place and tbf I don't really like my team, but I feel it's stronger than that.
Grabbed two average QBs with favorable matchups to begin the season and then planning on streaming the rest of the way. RBs are strong especially if Gurley's knee holds up, also found some nice value on Devonta at pick 47 and also on Pollard if Zeke doesn't come back. Receivers aren't amazing, but I have some depth and also an wildcard in AJ Green. Biggest lol at TE as I drafted Reed and knowing about his latest concussion, I took Herndon to replace him while he's out only to then discover that he's suspended the first four games ...
Overall I think I did okay though I don't think I adjusted that well to the PPR setting having only played once in this format.
PS: If anybody's interested in trading a TE, PM me

Include me in that competition too .
I got a C+ ranking and a projected 6-7 record (place 7) and though i had some picks stolen right before my choice, I am actually quite content with my team, as it might not be spectacular, but rock solid (especially in QB and Def depth), giving me some week-to-week-options (and therefore the chance to choose the wrong option every week anew, so it adds to the tension ). |

So the Rookies hoping to be Rookie of the Year are :-
The Berlin Whales - kandesbunzler26
Crackback and Sack - DaveTwoBob
Broken Knees - ryant
Shanahanigans - cunego59
ryant looks like the favourite after the draft.
Week 2 is a key week as we all play another rookie team.

Picks the Seattle DEF, Seattle signs Clowney
Obviously i'm more happy with this than just Fantasy, it feels like a return of the LOB especially with the extension to Wagner and adding Ansah off FA. Bring on Week 1!!!!
